Sandy, they are calling for rain and possible snow later this week. I picked one doozy of a time to go on vacation, lol :D

Sea, sorry to hear you're still having trouble with the breathing. Hope this improves for you soon. :hug:

OK, back from the uro. Urodynamics tests starting tomorrow including a kidney ultrasound on Thursday to make sure I am not backing up and damaging the kidneys.

Sandy - sorry about your weather. Come on down and warm up. Go for a swim, sit in the sun, enjoy. Heck, I'll have DDs bring you some pina coladas. :D Heck, you all can come. Pool Party!!!

SandyC 04-08-2008 04:02 PM

TK, I hope your tests come out fine. I remember when Jim had to go through all that stuff.

FinLady 04-08-2008 04:38 PM

TK, Thanks for the invite for a pool party :D Hope your testing goes well.

~~~~
The inspection itself wasn't bad, but won't know for a month or two how it went. The lady doing the inspection was nice and it seemed to go well.
Neuro visit was uneventful. I appear as clinically stable as my MRI's. :)
Downside is now I have to learn the "work smarter not harder" way of doing things. Because of my bad reaction to provigil, my neuro is really hesitant to give me a stimulant that's even stronger - even with a good stress test. :(
Hmmm. I'm thinking it's magarita time. Oh wait, that'll make me even more tired. LOL :D
TK -- I am on my way! I also hope your tests tun out ok.:hug:
Sandy, Pulling my sweathers back out of the closet:(
I need to share this story with you guys. My niece Anya (2 years, 5 months) likes to talk on the phone with me. So she called me a liitle while ago and when I answered she said, "Hi Barbara. Nicco's daddy hit him in the face. " And when I said that made me sad, she said "it made her sad too and that her mommy and daddy were nice." Nicco is her little buddy at day care. She told my sister as soon as she go in the car what happened. My sister is going to talk to the director of the day care tomorrow. I felt so bad for both Nicco and that my little, sweet niece had to see something like that at such a young age. She is so smart and funny. She sang me her ABC's yesterday on the phone.
TK best of hope on these test, I know what you are going through, I hope it is like me a spasm, :)
Fin that is and was the hardest thing for me to learn and keep in control of not overdoing it and learning to just pace myself or make two trips, I have gotten better at it, well sort of, ok every few days i think about it, i mean i did it last month one time, its harder if you are a go go type of person too
everyone else I hope your day was smooth and all went well,
I am in a lazy Monday mood on a Tuesday, so I should pop back in and out and I also had five 8 minute naps today, so i should be up all night
awe barb, someone Else's father hit Nicco? can we say that guy would be lunch meat , yeah I know violence isn't an answer, I keep re-Reading this to make sure I am reading it right,
she sounds like an intelligent child,
god I am having such cog fog todayarghhhhh
this is the 5th time I have read it I did misread it, still hopefully this can be corrected and real soon.
SandyC 04-08-2008 06:38 PM
Awww Barb, I hope the director can get to the bottom of that. Nicco probably told Anya since she is little like him. I will say a silent prayer for Nicco that his daddy doesn't hit him anymore. Hopefully it isn't as serious as it sounds.
barb02 04-08-2008 06:54 PM
Frank, His own father hit him in the face. We really do not know if she saw it happen or not. My sister said she (my niece) kept telling her that she was nice. I think she was trying to reassure herself that her mommy and daddy would never hit her. And they wouldn't! They are still having a problem putting her in time out. I think they hold out for one minute.
Poor kids! (Your niece and Nicco). Like Sandy, I hope it is not as serious as it sounds. Although I never discredit what a little one tells me, sometimes we have encourage them to say more so that we can make an accurate judgment.
When DD16 was in elementary school the school counselor came in to the class and talked about abuse. Well, DD16 piped up and said that she lives in an abusive home. So guess who calls me at work, the counselor. The story was that DD16 meant her sister hits her. LOL. I freaked out.
I did not give this counselor much credit as she held a group session for kids of divorce and DDs went to the group. The stories they came home with were so shocking I pulled them out of that group. I think this counselor liked to hear these stories of all the "men" that slept over at mommy's house and the "women" that slept at daddy's house. The group was completely inappropriate and this counselor should have been able to redirect the discussion and talk to the other kids privately about the things that were mentioned in the group. DD's were never exposed to that type of thing and they had a hard time understanding the sleep overs as well as the detailed accounts the kids were giving. (need I say more.)
