LOL just what you need Sandy another pet! I'm sure your mom will love that one! Sorry I have been going incognito,didn't post at all yesterday I just had too much to do I have a busy next two weeks coming up.

First I woke up it is now 445 AM because I felt something crawling on me...UGH a tick! I have a serious spider phobia and ticks are number two! So no going back to sleep for me! The ticks are really bad here already.

Went to my doctor this morning like I got great care HA! she was all well I don't think you need to see a urologist, kidney stones are really painful they sometimes take weeks to pass, yours is small blah blah...now for the funny part...someone is lying I don't know who! She wouldn't show me my CT report but the ER doc said my kidney stone was in my left ureter, she said it wasn't in my ureter it was in my kidney...who do I believe the super sweet ER doc? Or the woman who is my PCM I haven't been able to get into for months? Then she treated me like a pill popping dopehead for even suggesting she refill my sleeping pills! Saying you know they are supposed to be temporary right? They are addictive, how often do you take them, so I told her usually 3-4 nights a week after all she gave me 90 pills in January and I still have about 2 weeks worth left,she said so you're taking them every night right? I said NO I SAID 3-4 times do the math from Jan to May lady! Then wanted to know who my neuro was and still thought I was on Rebif...nevermind i told her they had changed me to Ty 4 1/2 months ago! Then shes all well spell that I have never heard of that I am going to have to see what that is GRRRRRRRRR! I am so glad we are moving! To be such a large base the medical care here stinks!

OK rant over!!!

LOL yall have a wonderful day...going to go post on Sandy's snake thread!

Good morning all Rain is a comin' sometime today for my neck of the woods. OK with me. Feeling not so hot these days, but I keep on a truckin'.

~~~~~
Renee, Sorry to hear about the visit with the doc. Definitely needs to keep better notes. By the sounds of it, I think the location the stone was in per ER doc is causing the pain you're having. I hope it clears up soon. But if the pain gets really intolerable, I'd go back to the ER to make sure it's still ok.
Vonn, Sorry to hear about the snub by your landlady. I really hope things work out for ya soon, hun. you deserve a break.
Sandy and Jim, Love the pic of you guys with the snake.
to everyone.
Frank - The stone is a 4 carat diamond that Renee is trying to pass. LOL. Of course I am sure that is what it feels like to Renee. Glad Chucky is on a vacation. Let's hope it's a permanent vacation.
Hi Kay - How's the farm and move going?
Vonn - That was so rude of your landlady. I am sorry she treated you that way and I hope you can find something else soon.
Renee - UGH! Double UGH! How frustrating for you. I hope this thing passes soon. I would also get a copy of your medical record from both the ER and your PCM, review it, and should there be a discrepancy or that you do have a stone bring it to someone at the base medical care center so that you can get better treatment. Fin is right, it the pain gets that bad, go to the ER again.
Fin - What are you going to do on your day off? Hopefully something fun like another painting. Enjoy the day.
No updates here. Life just keeps moving forward even though my body doesn't want that today. LOL.
Hi everyone else that I may have missed.
Have a great day everyone!
TK, Thanks but the stubborn one is going to work, LOL.
Just relaxing beforehand right now. It's mainly that I'm number than usual, which makes things fun sometimes. Add in a little muscle fatigue, and voila! - you have the blahs.
Renee, I think your primary is a flake and I am glad your moving too. How about calling your neuro and letting him prescribe your meds? I remember Jim going through the "you acting like a "drug addict" routine and it was so frustrating! This was with his old neuro but now that we have a new one plus the spinal doc it's all good. They work well together. It sounds like your doctors have no clue and do not communicate very well.
Personally every ms patient should see a urologist since bladder issues are the norm. Jim sees the urologist whenever he requests one. He has seen urologists since he was dx'd so this is all so strange to me.
I will say a prayer that you get taken care of. It may be time to file formal complaints and contact your local senator or hospital administration about the care your receiving. Call me when you get a chance OK?
UPDATE: Finishing off the last of the laundry and watching the rain fall. Maybe taking off the snake picture since it's freaking people out! lol
Everyone have a great day!
Renee---
I can so empathize with your situation. I am also a military spouse and am currentlly dealing with the same woes of in terms of pcp's (don't ya love how long it takes to get into touch with--much less a visit-- with your pcp and that u usually end up seeing a different doctor each time ); "different" interpretations of tests results, being shuffled from person to person-- and almost having to be to see specialists, meds and all sorts of things.....
My suggestion is to see if the doctor you see/trust most can prescribe your meds-- or at least the majority of them. My neurologist prescribes the majority of my medications; and my pcp prescribes the "easy" ones such as my allergy meds and a few other meds that my neuro doesnt want to monitor (such as my apetite stimulant) or is completely un neuro related. Occasionally my other specialists will prescribe meds-- but they are usually not long term ones; generally speaking, my neuro is in charge of most of my meds. It just works out better that way.
Another suggestion: go to the radiology department and request a copy of your CT scan--- both the disk and the report. I always request copies of all diagnostic tests (x-rays/lab work, etc) as soon as they become avaliable AND visit notes when the doctor finishes writing them and entering them into the computer. It's a way I keep tabs on things-- making sure I know the test results-- the radiologists interpretation; and exactly what went on during my dr visits so I can ask questions or get things corrected if I have concerns.....
Good Luck !
Btw-- to everyone else-- I apologize for jumping into the conversation without much introduction (i do post from time to time on other threads)--- this post just caught my eye today.
we're busy building a new NURSERY for our chickie and duckie babies:
we ran out of stored rainwater (long story, pipe broke) and 'delivered water' is too expensive.
at this moment there's only an INCH left in the cistern, and both storage tanks are EMPTY.
water is only for emergencies at this point, and I'm bathing with BABY WIPES.
I need a shower DESPERATELY, and the dishes and laundry are PILING UP !!
so, we're is digging a trench, and mi esposo is working on plumbing, and Belize Water Systems will be here "soon" to connect us up to the village water pipes.
we wanted to be *independent* but it hasn't RAINED since a bit in January...
also we're rushing the clock on the enclosure, trying to finish THAT before more babies hatch, and get "disappeared"
there's just too much needing to be done (we're 90% moved... and the last 10% is driving me BATS!)
another dresser is being delivered "soon" and the cabinet guy will be finished with our kitchen shelves this weekend.
company's coming, in several waves, starting this weekend, and the place is a mess.
the darn bidet LEAKED all over the floor... (broken fitting - cheap carp)
and I've got preggers bun-wuns and guin-wins that need extra attention.
and two of the bunnies got seriously into a fight, and one's injured...
I carried over 5 drawers-full of clothes yesterday, and after THAT, I needed a 3-hour NAP, lol!
I need some
Dang Kay! I don't know if I'm sorry I asked or glad I asked (LOL). . . .I'm glad I asked. You got it all out of your system and hopefully feel a little better.
Maybe some of the company can help out with everything. Hang in there.
