Tricia, how is the little kitty? What'd you name him/her? I know you posted it but I can't remember! They become tame quickly if you spend enough time with them and it sounds like you have. If he spends most of his time with you he'll become attached to you. That's how my Tigger is. He is such a Momma's Boy and follows me everywhere I go...sleeps on my bed at night, too. I love him!! :) I posted pics of him and Gracie in my album on my profile. |
trik, Did the kitty keep you awake? The other night my dog kept me awake whining (not me...the dog was doing the whining) because of the weather. We have another dog that keeps me busy in the day, the thing is it's not even my dog, it is my DDs.
weegot5kids, Thats a lovely picture, where'd you get it? My dream didn't come true, John (DH) didn't make it home. We'll have to wait till next friday. He wasn't scheduled to anyway. I'll likely sit home most the day. But I do plan on riding my bike, weather permitting, I need the exersize. |
Good morning everyone. Man, I slept in today. I got up at 7:30!
Sandy - Thanks for taking the time to give us a quick update on Renee. I stayed up way too late Thurs. night and then last night I stayed up too late. Two nights in a row! It's gonna hit me big time. LOL. Frank - I have experienced that too. Some times the slightest touch will set things off. As an example, the touch of my sheets will set a spasm off in my foot which causes the muscles from the foot up to my butt to go in to spasm. Here is a link to the National MS Society's web site regarding spasticity. Hope it helps. http://www.nationalmssociety.org/abo...ity/index.aspx http://www.nationalmssociety.org/download.aspx?id=52 The brochure gives some great information. They also have one on stretching and stretching with a helper. I got a copy of these once from my neuro and both are in a binder so that DDs can grab it and help me through the spasms. They get worried they are going hurt me. I tell them, I'm already hurting they can't hurt me any more. LOL. DD16 is so good at helping me with not only these exercises but massages as well. I truly think that she would make an incredibly awesome PT and I have talked to her about it. Lor - I'm sorry DH was able to come home this weekend. I know that you must miss him and are disappointed. Going for a bike ride sounds like a great way to not only exercise but to relieve the stress. Lor & Kelly - I posted on the Addition to Our Family thread last night. Kitty is starting to come around. After I posted, it was all cuddled up with DD18. It was laying in her arms like a baby and she was petting it's stomach. It fell asleep - so adorable. I took pictures and will post them on the thread soon. Hi Everyone else. Hope everyone has a nice relaxing weekend! |

Patience serves as a protection against wrongs as clothes do against cold. For if you put on more clothes as the cold increases, it will have no power to hurt you. So in like manner you must grow in patience when you meet with great wrongs, and they will be powerless to vex your mind. I believe that this has been so true - and thanks to me beginning to understand my MS (can't let stress bother me .. I HAVE to be calm and patient!! what a change ... and now I see God's hand in all of this!!) Quote:

okay - I better get to class .. have to finish homework and take finals .. then done until the 6th of July ... in the 8th week - and still A's .. but the finals may put a damper on those!! LOL thanks everyone for listening ... Frank & Deb, Sandy .. how far are you from madison?? or from Rockford, Belvidere?? asking because - I found some quilt shops that I will "HAVE" to check out .. can anyone say ROADTRIP??? |
Vonn, I am about an hour from Rockford. One of our mobility shops (Midwest Mobility) is in Belvidere. We haven't been there yet but I hear it's just as close as Burr Ridge where we currently go.
I am 2 hours and 23 minutes from Madison. Maybe Frank, Deb, Jim and I could meet up with you some day! My chore today is to water the shrubs and plants outside and do the checkbook. Jim and I are also considering staying here in Illinois for a tad longer. We realized if we play our cards right we may pay off the house in about 7-10 years. Then we would move to Tennessee and buy a house outright. That is if there are no grandbabies by then! lol |
depends on if the cops are out generally about an hour maybe 40 mints

You just let us know when you'll be here and Jim and I will come up.
Just don't do it in the winter, please, I beg you. lol |
little miracle today
I went outside to cut my yard with my rotary pushmower ... just to spiff up my yard and take down my yard thingies .. and my neighbors came over and cut the WHOLE yard in less than 1/2 hr .. .and I was able to stay in the shade and trimmed around my flowers ...
my yard looks better than it ever has ... I bet my landlady is just flabbergasted that I'm keeping up my yard - even tho she's pushed me to "get out" ... Sandy - no - I won't come down in the winter .. I'll be cooped up at home quilting and preparing to take my capstone for my degree!! my girlfriend wants to go to Chicago with me when I graduate ...sorta like a Christmas treat ... (and more quilt shops to boot!) |
