You may have to buy it in the men's department. Once it's tucked in, no one would ever know. I used to do that when I was a waitress. They always have those available in men's depts because guys wear them with year round with suits.

Frank, we are looking into the adjustable bed. If your friends don't have an adjustable it wouldn't work. Jim can't lay flat. But thanks anyway! :-)

Renee, I've been on the phone with Tricare all day. I'll call ya back in a few.

Everyone else, have a great day!!!! Hugs! I have much to do today and if I stay here I wont get it done. lol

tomorrow is the BIG POUR for the hurricane shelter floor... hubby went to the Mennonite town to get the special plastic foil that goes under the concrete, so we can put in a floor-drain, for hosing the shelter out after animal use... and hopefully, he'll be bringing me some cabbage and leafy greens, 'cause, baybee, I'm FLAT OUT of stuff, and have 21 hungry ducklings, and two dozen chickie babies in the nursery...

mi esposo is seriously thinking about getting a horse and buggy, next !!

if gas goes any higher, we're totally in trouble here.

next batch of pix, oh NO ! I can't even THINK about that, honey...

see, it's been storming for weeks, and the socket that I use for connecting my camera to my computer (for uploading pix) is the same one that goes to the SURGE protector, so I'd have to disconnect that (because I spilled something on my special MAC keyboard, so, I had to plug the replacement keyboard - NON-Mac - into that one, and can no longer keep the camera cord socketted, WAH !!)

I'm too nervous to disconnect the surge protector, because I'd probably forget to plug it back IN, and then, my computer might get FRIED if there's power issues, which there ARE here in da jungle, practically every DAY, ouch!

that's why there's been no new uploads from me in weeks...

sorry about that confuzzled explanation, but................

gosh, I need a new BRAIN... this one's malfunctioning totally.

hubby had a molar extracted yesterday, and is on a baby-food diet.

which means, he hasn't been cooking REAL food for two days.

and we spent an HOUR this morning chasing a drake around the pond, he's injured, and we wanted to examine and treat him, but it's raining, and muddy, and slippery-as-snail-snot (our soil is mostly clay)

so, I'm tired, and hungry, and cranky and achy... wah wah wah wah wah wah wah!

Hi all. Mind if I join in?

This morning I spent two hours in the sun pulling weeds. It isn't super hot or humid out, but I just about wilted anyway. It will take me several days to finish weeding. Once I get some lunch, and recover from the sun, I'll do some laundry, and come up with a "to do" list. I'm feeling buried alive here, but the list will get things in proper perspective.

Tonight the kiddos go for their group golf lesson. I'll take a chair with me and some water. I'm looking forward to the evening fun with the kids. I took up golf last year after they did so we could play together. DH isn't a sports person at all. Mini golf is a stretch for him. I'm not much of sports person either, but do enjoy hitting the driving range with both kids, and the bowling alley with DD.

Hi Angel,

I hope you and Frank will stay on top of your high BP. I have it also and I've been on meds for several years. Also, Angel, I hope your heart tests turn out ok. You two take care of each other. Also, keep an eye on that blood sugar sweetie, and Frank's cholesterol. Do I sound like a worried Mom? lol

Deb -- ditto!

I have had a day today. Furniture store delivered my new sofa and my immediate thought was, what was I thinking? Then I told myself I would get used to it and then like it. It is comfortable, but it is way too big for my living room. In the store it looked like it was a light, soft green color and it is made out of microfiber material. It is actually moss/olive green. After looking at it for 2 hours, I wanted to cry! It is so fugly.

So I called my salesman and told him I did not like it and he asked me what was wrong with it. I told him that it was ugly. He laughed and told me he did not like the color either. Then he told me to come in and I could pick out something else. So of course I could not find anything in stock that I liked. The ac was out in the store and I just wanted to find something I liked and leave. Oh yeah, I had them take away my old couch this morning when they delivered the ugly one.

I ended up picking a different style and chose a sort burgundy material. Now I get to wait for 3 1/2 weeks for the new couch. I sure hope I like it So they are picking up the other couch sometime this afternoon I hope, and I have no sofa to lay on for the next few weeks.

Yippee! They still have my old sofa on the truck. There are some advantages to living in a small town.
