Boy, I needed that right now. Long story and not going in to it. However, family can really do some hurtful things. Sandy, this did make me feel better. Thanks.

Frank - No the cake was not too warm as it was made the day before. I wish that were the case. lol

NaeNae - Buttercream frosting is my favorite. Actually, butter is one of my favorite flavorings. YUM! If it has butter on it, I will more than likely eat it.

Sarah - Hope day 2 on Neurontin is going as well as day 1.

Kay - You have a lot of patiences to be counting that many ducks walking by. lol I would have given up at, like, 20. Of course, a little cog fog mixed in with that and I may not have even known or remembered what number I was on.

Barb - You certainly had a long day. Play today, pay tomorrow. That's my new motto. Of course, I don't always pay attention to my motto. lol

Weave - Hope your DD has a great time in Mexico. How long is she gone for? Yesterday, a friend of ours invited me down to Mexico over Labor day. Not sure if I can get a passport that quickly but I am certainly considering it. I love San Carlos and snorkeling down there. We'll see. Anyhow, wishing you DD the best on her adventure and let her know that I think that what she is doing is awesome.

MX7 - Hope your mom is doing better as well as your nanny. How scary!

Hi everyone else! I hope everyone has a good day today.

~~~
No update here. Did my housework this morning so the house is nice and clean for the weekend. Also had some dictation to type up early this a.m. Dang those people get up early and start dictating. I can't even think that straight at 5 - 5:30 in the morning. lol.
I prepped a bunch of canvases last night and will be working on them today. I am using some modeling paste to create designs and textures. It's pretty cool how it comes out and how the paste absorbs the paint and gives it kind of a soft watercolor look.
Trish, I am glad that helped you feel better. It is so trues isn't it?
Question? Do you use gesso to prep your canvases?
Yes. One of DBF's neighbors was moving and gave him a huge roll of raw canvas. I have been stretching my own and priming them with Gesso. Most of the store bought ones are triple primed. Those I don't do anything with except paint. I also use the Gesso to create textures. It can be used as a self leveling medium too.
Tk this gesso so if you layered it right you could have a 3d effect on the canvas, such as, waves rolling in on the beach and then paint the waves sounds pretty cool
well, I only got the nursery floor half done, wah!
on the other hand, we got a bounteous bonanza of stuff at the Veg Market at dawn today, so, I'm happy.
and my neighbor teenager girl (Florita) is here helping me sweep and mop (my hands are too weak to do the whole house, so she comes for two hours once a week, to assist, YAY !!!)
now, I'm TRAPPED at mi esposo's desk, mopped into a corner, LOL !!
NaeNae, I don't think you're being naive at all, it's hard to give a good explanation of things, when ya don't wanna get too personal on the www...
just remember, we love you, NO MATTER WHAT !! and are in your corner with whatever support we can give you.
lol, Trish, I tried on Tuesday, counted de lil duckie-baybies FIVE times, and got FIVE different numbers... so, I gave UP... lol !!
that's why I got Amelio to help me... it didn't take long, they went by in twos and threes, not single file...
Sarah, glad the Neurontin seems to be working so far, that's good to hear !!
Sandy, sorry your mom's drivin' ya nuts... that seriously bites...
I'm ready for my NAP now... (tiptoeing across the wet floor)
Trish, I forgot to tell you! I gave my contractor my portable easel and asked him to build a permanent one twice the size. I told him to not use expensive wood as it will get medium on it. lol I gave him some money to buy supplies and am waiting for the final product. He's building it to go a full 7 feet high if I want to go large and it will be on locking wheels to move it around. How cool is that?
