Sandy that is cool! I have thought of asking DBF to help me build one out of metal (then I get to weld.:D Haven't done that in a while). I love your idea of it being on wheels so that you can move it around easily. You'll have to post a picture of it when it is done. I'd love to see it.

Sandy- fired doc/new doc and mom

NaeNae- Follow your gut and you will be fine. Bottom line is, everyone here wants you and your kids to be happy and safe. We are here for you no matter what.

:grouphug: to everyone else.

My update- Had fun yesterday just hanging out with DD before she left for Mexico. She rolled off the church parking lot about 3:30 AM as tired parents stumbled back to their cars and back to bed. DD was too excited to sleep before leaving and I was too. The internet says her plane arrived safely so now I am waiting for a quick phone call from her to say they are safely at their final destination. I truly appreciate the prayer support. Did some weeding this morning. I feel a nap coming on. Hope DD got some sleep.

Ok, I uploaded a small sample of the work I have done. You'll see graphic design, pencil, charcoal, mixed medium and photography. There are no paintings but will be once I get my studio up and running. Let me know what you guys think!

Howdy all :) Did some running around today, and took a nap afterwards. My super hubby brought me home starbuck's on his way home from work, so very happy right now.

I'm just starting to get new ideas to paint, but haven't felt like climbing the stairs to my makeshift art area. Maybe this weekend. :)

Have a good one all :grouphug:

Love it, Sandy! You do awesome work. I love the drawings. Those are my favorites. But, I'm partial to hand drawings anyhow.

SandyC 07-25-2008 04:22 PM

I have a ton of hand drawings but couldn't possibly put them all on here! lol I am a darker type artist who loves cemetaries and weird art. Could you tell? lol Did you notice the two painting that were done with Tums? You read that right, Tums.

tkrik 07-25-2008 04:25 PM

I love cemeteries too!!! There is a certain beauty to them that is unexplainable. Your photos captured that. On SuzyQ's site she has some cool cemetery pictures too.

The Tums were very creative. I never would have thought of that and they gave the pictures a really neat effect. It got me thinking . . .what effect would paint, baking soda, and vinegar have.

SandyC 07-25-2008 04:30 PM

I say go for it! All I did with the tums was mix them with water. I have an entire series in addition to the two you see. It was based on my pregnancy and losing my first child. I wanted to paint with something that was related to the pregnancy and I chose Tums because I was eating them like crazy. I know weird right? I am always looking for things around the house to paint and work with.

Fin - DD18 just took me out to Starbucks to help me feel better. She knew I had a rough morning and was asking me about it and I just started bawling. (Something I rarely ever do). So, bless her sweetheart, she treated me to a Starbucks.
