see law suits like that should not even get into our courts, that just pure ludicrous

curious when a crazed law suit that is apparently an attempt to exploit and found to be such, do the police go after these folks for extortion charges?

I am not saying this is the case here, although I personally feel it is, I'm just asking from past cases has anyone ever heard, do the police charge these folks
