Good morning all :) Waiting for coffee to get done and very tired. Brain's a little fuzzy, lol.
Cleaned the house as best I could yesterday for the inlaws. Went to bed late and up early to boot. Never was one able to sleep with someone else in my house. So between little sleep and pushing myself a bit, I feel like thudding. :thud: The plus side, the house is descent enough for me to rest the next couple of days. ;) |
Hey all. Getting up to take Nik to get a new car. I think I told you guys his fell apart for the last time. When your putting in more money than it's worth, it's time to get a new ride. lol Jim is feeling better today but will stay home while I go. I can handle the sale. haha
Hope everyone has a nice day. Renee, thinking about you. |
hello I posted a big thank you yesterday on this thread and have no idea where it is. First let me thank everyone for their concerns and well wishes, thank you
renee I am sorry to hear what happened, i also had a spouse who left me with a ten month old and a two yr old, its low, rotten and shallow of him. word of advice dont let what he did over run your mind, it will destroy you in the process, redirect that to your tasks on hand and the children,I am sorry you got hurt, but if this the kind of person he was, you are better off as for me the pneumonia is almost gone the digestive issues bites as for diabetes who knows could of been a false positive. and chucky will die this week i hope if i can get in to pain clinic for nerve block everyone else let me again thank you, being alone(deb had kids to deal with and get ready for our graduate) scared and worried in a hospital, sucks, but to know i have friends worried about me is a blessed thing, thank you so much my youngest is graduated they dont mess around 5 high schools are going through this big facility to graduate today they shuffled us out as quick as can be, now we just have to get read for his party today peace p.s. i forgot i have not had a smoke in 11 days now, yes i got john lennons song cold trurkey going over and over in my mind just weighed myself I lost 16 pounds from begining of last month, not the way to do it but it is done |
Nik got a Dodge Neon and loves it. It's a 2004 sports Neon with 49,000 miles on it. I would have chosen the PT Cruiser convertable but that's just me. lol
|
congrats nik hope it gets good gas milage
lol sandy where did you find that picture, its great i would of opted for a convertible nik enjoy your vehicle nik Sandy i clicked on the picture and it sent me to a web site with a bunch of cool cat pics |
Me too Frank, we loved the convertible! It gets 29 city and 36 highway. Not too bad. The pic is from Graphics Grotto dot com.

Renee - Still praying for you and your little ones. Hang in there. :hug: Barb - Yikes, sweetie! I'll be praying that all your tests come out fine. Three good test results in a row! That certainly was reason to celebrate by going out to lunch. Hang in there and let us know how the rest of the testing goes. Vonn - YEAH!! That is promising news. Hope you had fun at the wedding today. Fin - Man, I woke up the same way and have been that way all day. Plus, I only got a 1/2 hour nap. UGH! I hope you got some rest today. Frank - So glad you made a jail break. Congrats on DS graduating. That's awesome. Sandy - He that car sounds pretty good. I am glad he loves it. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!:) |

Nice car, Sandy. Hope Nic likes it.
Been trying to rest as much as possible today. Watching the NASCAR all-star race right now. Supposed to storm a little tonight. hope it clears by morning. Supposed to be a nice cool day tomorrow, and hoping I can get some yard work started. :) |
yesterday was "Hog Day" and I took about 200 pix...
we started at dawn, and didn't finish up until 3 pm. it was unbelievable exhausting, but we had LOTS of help, thankfully. and we had a local "pro" to help with the hard parts. we made lard, sausage, chitlins (called chicharones here), froze some giant quarters, and hung strips to dry, preparatory to being smoked. then, we all sat down to a muy delicioso celebratory meal prepped by a Maya woman. to make the day complete, I got near-paralyzing foot/leg cramps at bed-time, and was close to tears. sent hubby to fetch the Baclofen, but alas, my bottle was EMPTY. so, today's GOAL is to go to the Farmacia, and try to refill... (gasp, moan) after we attend the big AG SHOW in the capitol. plans are for a brunch date, and a meet-up with a bunch of expats we know online. I'm going in well-prepped, with ankle-supports, and AFOs (hidden by long gauzy skirt) and my cane... I don't know if I can handle it, but there's too many things I want to see there, and it's the only event of its kind, so I CAN'T miss it, argh !!! I'm dreading the start of the day, and STALLING by hanging out online before getting ready... oh, give me strength !! :hug: |
Kay, Hope your day goes well and everything works out. LOL, I know all about the being online and stalling things. ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beautiful morning here. Sun is shining. Have my cup of coffee. Still a little beat, but have some puttering to do. If I feel up to it, might start some yard work. But for now, that is on the "wait and see" list. Hope everyone has a good day. :hug: |
hanging in there starting to get angry going up the chain of command tomorrow why does he get to go run home and hide and wait this all out while I and my kids the victims in all of this are the ones getting screwed?
|
That's right Renee! I don't care what they say about it being a civilian issue. It's not a civilian issue when he lied to his command and family services about it. He not only lied to them, he lied to you and abandoned his family in the process. While your at it, contact the base chaplain who will help you get things started.
|
hi all ..
well, the wedding went off without a hitch!! there was even applause during the ceremony for those two old coots to tie the knot!! they are like 2 - 16 year olds!! I said to someone later ... it was pretty neat to see a church full of family and friends that accummulated AFTER 66 plus years! pretty inspiring! I have homework and more projects to work on today to finish up .... Renee - Sandy is right .. the base chap would be a good start .. and also there should be some sort of family-support system too. going to work on my business plan for the corporation - to drop it off at the bank this week ... weather is sunny but rather breezy ... |
Whoops, forgot to update. I am racking my little brain on how to pay peter and paul. Too many projects, too many cc charges. lol I HATE owing on a cc so this will not be pretty. The lawn needs landscaping, the contractor needs to be paid for staining and installing my baseboards. Could I have done this myself? Yes, but I value my sanity as much as my cc bills. Basically this means no extra mortgage payment for three months and no adding to savings.
Ha! I am beginning to feel like my dancing cats only stuck like they are. lol |
Renee, wish I had some advice to give you as well. But there seems to be a lot of good ideas given to you already. Know it's not fair, but I'm hoping all turns out ok for you and the kids in the end. Hang in there! :hug:
Vonn, Glad the wedding went well. Sounds like it was a great time. Sandy, ugh. I hate doing the bill shuffle, but sometimes needs done. Hope things get better soon. ~~~~~~~ Taking a break from my puttering. Got a lot done this morning, including the bills (yuck). Too windy right now to do yard work. LOL, having trouble standing up straight with how hard it's blowing. But they say it's supposed to calm down later on. Keeping fingers crossed. |
Fin, I can hear the wind howling passed my house. Creepy.
|
Renee
Remember you are not alone. Check your PMs...you do have help. :hug: |
It has been a quiet day for me so far. I have just been reading, but I am going over to a friend's house in a few minutes for a cookout and birthday party for her ten year old daughter (Katie). It is also windy and kind of cold here ( I am afraid we are going to go straight from this weather to 90 degree days.), so I suppose we will be eating out burgers inside. I made Katie a bracelet and got her a gift card for Limited Too. She never gets to shop there, and according to her all of the popular girls get their clothes from there. I did clear it with her mom first. So I should be popular today.:D
Kay, Just reading your posts makes me exhausted.:) Renee: Hang in there Hope everyone is having an enjoyable Sunday. |
I must agree with sandy go find a chaplin Renee, who knows he might be able to open a door or two a bit quicker, :hug::hug: for you :hug::hug:
kay the expression i could drink a gallon of coffee is just that, an expression, good golly miss molly you be a busy one, Kay i hope your leg is better soon imagine not over doing it would help, yeah i know easier said than done Everyone I hope you had a good weekend, deb is still POed at me for talking docs into releasing me, it was my kids graduation, he is my last one from high school, i didnt want to miss it one bit, the party was long but he had a nice time as did his cousins, was on here showing my one cousin who suffers from migraines this site yesterday, she liked the site happy sunday evening all peace |
well, I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack !!
whew! I made it, and am still alive, kiddies! went to the Ag Show, got some brochures, met some local farmers, made lots of good connections, bought some plants (royal and fan palms), and a woven wicker laundry basket, and some local organic chocolate, and some local jams and wines... saw Brahma bulls, Muscovy ducks, Guinea hens, Embden geese, and some Boer goats. I'm tired, but had a good time. Frank, glad you're feelin' bettah, and didn't miss the grad. Vonn, glad the wedding came off according to specs ! Barb, sorry I made ya tired... but I bet you're not as tired as ME !! NaeNae, justice will come for you... it may not seem like it now, but I strongly believe in Karma... and "Do as you would be done by." so his actions WILL come back on him... maybe not as soon as, or in the particular manner that you'd prefer, but I promise, it'll happen. and hold your head high, you'll get through this if you lean on us, and let us hold you up for a while and lend you a little strength... remember, we love you, and are all praying for you to get through this with charm and grace. I'm TOTALLY going to bed now, too tired to even hang out online. :hug::grouphug::hug: love yas. |
that was my biggest hangup about my ex how unfair it was to me and kids, the old saying what comes around goes around is true, took me some time to see it had already happened, my ex missed their first time with out training wheels learning to read hit a ball scoring the big td in school going to state for computer finals all the straight a report cards the first fall from a tree, first dates, all these somewhat small things, she never knew and will never know, its an odd sense of poetic justice
miss energy, stop chewing on the coca leaves:eek: |
there's no coca growing here, that's further south, honey.
and... Miss Energy ?? more like Miss STAKE, lol! go to bed early, and whaddayaknow? here I am, WIDE AWAKE, at the EVIL crack of dawn! for every day I want to play, I set aside a day to PAY... (tx, AMN) no more massive leg cramps, but I can TELL they're just ITCHIN' to go into full-on seizure-mode... they feel all tight, and on the verge, yaknowwhatImeanjellybean ?? so, I'm going to SLEEP and rest in the hammock all day, and probably tomorrow too. :hug: |
Mornin' everyone!
Kay, I wish I had one tenth of your energy....you put me to shame!! I do love all the pics you post on the Wok Wok thread, though. I did have four bunnies in my backyard this morning just before the sun came up but can never get a picture of them - they scare too easily. Frank, I'm so glad you're feeling better. We all missed you while you were in the hospital. Renee, I second what Kay said. Karma will come around. I've seen it happen. And like Frank said - the ex's are the true losers in the situation. The only advice I can give you is to try and keep things as calm as possible for the kids. As much as WE cannot understand why some things happen they are probably twice as confused as we are! I have a doctor's appointment this morning so I'd better get rolling....takes me two hours to shower and get ready to go anywhere anymore. By the time I'm ready to go I'm ready for a nap!! :p |
Good morning all :) The sun is shining and the wind has finally died down. Might actually get a chance to play in the dirt today.
Hoping everyone's day goes well. :grouphug: |
Renee ... it's really hard to let go to move forward - but like everyone said ...you don't need that baggage - and you have so much more without him and can make it ... you will be blessed beyond measure by keeping your head high and loving those two beauties in your arms!
Hi Kelly - I know the feeling .. all the energy when I get up, but by the time I get the shower, get ready and shot .. I'm ready for a nap - or just a break! LOL ******** have lots to do today - paperwork and shuffle and shred and print and mail and pay ... :Writting: 4th week in classes - both going good ... did anyone see the house that was built in Louisiana last night on Extreme Home Makeover with Ty??? looked like a lighthouse to me!! way too cool! there still is hope for me yet! |
Barb - Well . . .How popular were you yesterday? I am sure Katie loved it and is very thankful for not only the gift certificate but the bracelet as well. What did you make the bracelet out of? I'd love to see pics if you have any.
Frank - You are a great dad. Good parents do that sort of thing for their kids. I would be demanding to leave the hospital too if there was something going on with DDs, especially their graduation. Kay - Miss Stake! LOL. That's cute. Yes, when we over do it, it can take us a day or two or three or a week, LOL, to recuperate. That is one of my most frustrating things about MS. I can't go 90 mph on that freeway of life. I have learned that if I do, I will hit the Great Wall of MS Fatigue. I hope you get lots of rest today for your next adventure. Hi Kelly! Good luck at the docs today. Fin - I love to play in the dirt! I only have a cement garden. :( We will start working on DBF yard soon but that will be a challenge for me as the heat is ON. (100's).:mad: It will entail getting up by 6 in order to do some work and then stopping by 8 or 9 a.m. as it will be too hot for me. Have fun today. I hope everyone has a good day. |
Hey everyone, just having coffee with Jim. I'll get him settled and then hit the tornado that blew through my basement last night. LOL The kids are home and moving rooms. Lordy, how did I accumulate so much?
Have a great day. |
Morning :)
I made alot of progress in school this weekend and I also bought and planted my flower garden. This year I added lettuce, tomato and broccoli. One of the tomato bushes is already sprouting some fruit (it was a gift for my BD)....It was a wonderful weekend and I got some color on my WHITE skin :) Hope all is well for everyone! :hug: |
Hi everyone! Greetings from the cold and rainy plains. Have I mentioned that I am sick of this weather? It seems to be a constant theme with me.
TK -- Katie liked her gift card alot until her grandmother gave her some nintendo computer gadget and game. Overshadowed again:rolleyes: I made the bracelet for her our of glass and crystal beads. I was really into making jewelry (bracelets and earrings) a few summers ago, but have only made a few this year. I have given bracelets to everyone I know. Some friends and family have received several. I have alot of left over beads so I may pull them out again this summer if I get stuck in the house due to hot weather. Or course, I do not think the sun is ever going to shine her for 2 days in a row. Remind me that I am complaining about this weather in a few months.:D Please send "just a little" of your heat north. Kelly -- I hope your doctor's appt goes well. Sandy -- Have fun cleaning:eek:! Kay and Frank -- Hope you are taking it easy. Hi Vonn, Finn, Renee, and anyone else reading this. Finn, is the sun really shining in Ohio? I just made a cous cous salad for dinner tonight and now I am going to go read. Have my pulmonary vascular test tomorrow. Has anyone else ever had this test? |
Barb - You can have all the sun and heat you want. How much? LOL. It is starting to blaze here as well as the glare. It's intense. *trying to blow some heat your way . . pant, pant, pant. . and suck in some of your cooler air down this way." Man, now I need to take a nap. LOL.
Vonn - I missed that last night. I'll have to watch online now just to see your dream lighthouse. Good luck with your classes. Sandy - Despite all the stuff and the "tornado" in the basement you have to admit it is nice to have your boys home for the summer. Enjoy them while they are there. |
Hey Renee, how did things go today? Any news from the company?
|
Barb, ok so it was mostly cloudy, LOL. But the sun made an appearence now and then. ;)
Sandy, Another school year under their belts. :) Have fun having your boys home. GJ, Glad you had a great weekend. :) Vonn, man, now I'm sorry I missed it. That extreme makeover must have been cool. Glad your classes are going well. :) TK, Sorry to hear the temps have gotten so warm. It's supposed to warm up later this week, so I'm trying my best to get some of this stuff done. It's a jungle out there. :eek: ~~~~~~ Just tried a new mulch and it looks great! Keeping fingers crossed that I can still find it since I was buying a little at a time since I can only do so much at once. At least if I do have to change part way, I started with an area that wouldn't look too weird, LOL. Was out there for about 2 hours and then came in and crashed for a little bit. Did some errands and now starting to feel better. Writing out little goals to get through this week including getting the process started for joining the Y - even hubby is interested after we looked at it. |
howdy all
doc has slipped me a sleeping aid gonna try and figure which pill it is causing me to sleep so much,and stop taking it, I know part of my escape plan was agreeing to getting plenty of rest to the doctor, all i can say one of these pills is doing it big time to me. I still have to catch up on all the post, so till I have I shall keep it simple saying good day to all and better evening to you peace oh great just looked 5 of the 6 new meds may cause drowsieness ok so my next plan is i guess sleep |
I just came in from gluing velcro on our old pop-up camper. But we'll only use it once this yr. (memorial day weekend). The reason is cuz my DH is going out of town on this &%^#$ business trip. He is there till mid-September. He gets to come home every other weekend however. I can picture my DD & I driving there to stay a bit, maybe. I'm in Ohio & he will be south of Chicago.
Hey all,
How is everyone?? I miss you all very much, just been so busy with working the new boss job, and kids and life....havent been on puter much at all. Anyhow, things are going ok, some days been getting lots of sxs...blahhh Work well interesting, lots of training needed at my new store I am running....so trying to improve it...little by little..without getting too overwhelmed..first few weeks I was overwhelmed...as I was learning new stuff as store manager, and also new place and all....but calming down now..taking day at a time...doing what I can to lead by example..and coach some to the way things are suppose to be.... anyhow, enough about that place..hehehe Wish it would warm up a bit here, not wanting too hot...as my body hates heat...but hey out golfing tonight..and was creeping down into 40s..and tonight is a frost warning...geezz isnt it late May..???? hugsss all, hope this finds all healthy, happy and doing good, sarah |
Hey Sarah! I was just thinking about you the other day, wondering where you were..Glad to hear things are going well, Congrats on the new position/store!
I hear ya on the temps..It's gotten down to the upper 30's & low 40's here at night. When do I get to complain about the heat?:D |
Frank, Sorry to hear about the sleeping issues. Hope you can figure out the culpret here soon. :hug:
Sarah, Thanks for checking in, hun. Wow, sounds like your new store has been busy. Hope everything levels out soon. Lor, Ick. I hate it when my hubby goes on business trips. I hope you still have fun memorial day weekend. :hug: Polar, LOL. I'm quite happy with my 60 degree weather right now. It's helping me get some yardwork done before I'm trapped hugging my A/C. :D ~~~~~~ No sun in sight this morning, so probably going to get my hair done. Just waiting for the kickstart from my coffee, LOL. Plus I think a break is needed. My arms are a little fatigued from yesterday. It feels good, but I definitely do not recover like I used to - LOL. Have a good day all :) |
Hey all. I got up and went to the doctor for blood work and now back home. He was happy to hear I gave up my sweet tea since the last blood work results showed borderline diabetes. I weighed in on his scale and it said 135!!!!!! My scale says 139 but I'll go with his...lol
Finishing laundry, sweeping floors and mopping today. Oh, update on my mom. She called social security and they said she should apply for her regular retirement first and get into the system and then disability. Looks like things are going to look up finally. We don't know if she'll make enough to live on her own yet but we'll see. Now we need to get her set up for insurance because her work insurance will be gone after short term disability ends. Then she will be coming up here. Jim is feeling better except he feels like sleeping more than usual. But ms does that now doesn't it? :rolleyes: I spoke to Renee last night and the base is not helping her at all. :( Have a great day everyone! |
