Ahhh yes, a Marx smiley....http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/j...ff/15_1_47.jpg
Olhipie's favorite qoute come from Groucho Marx..."Your only as old as the women you feel"... |
HUH??? What did I miss while I was napping? My lover went to Belize without me? (I knew he was a selfish creep!lol) Sandy's preggo? Vonn started a biker quilting group??? What? LOL
Frank - I hope Renee's antics put a smile on your face. It sure did me. Thanks, Renee. I really needed that right now. Still keeping you and Deb in my prayers. |
Sorry about your roommate, Frank. I'm glad they gave him something to make him sleep.
Well, look at the bright side.....there's a reason they take all that blood.....if they cannot find anything wrong with your heart or other "innards" at least they can tell you that you're anemic! |

Supposedly I am hiding out somewhere near Vonn's place with all her deep, dark secrets just waiting to tell all......I'll PM you with a couple of them but you have to promise not to tell anyone. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...lies/Biker.gif |

Oh and I forget (dang MS), your off cooking for us. What time is dinner? Hey, if you're hiding out, how are you cooking? Campfire? I've never had campfire lasagna before.:D |
Just taking some notes here for my next screenplay, LOL.
:D:Writting: |
You are loved Frank....praying with all my might for you.:hug::circlelove:

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been online but I am nursing a major sinus headache. Frank, I am sorry I missed your call, I was napping.
Frank pretty much told you guys what's up except his enzymes were elevated but not at a level of concern according to the medical professionals. I'll try to call you back Frank after I eat something. I am sick to my stomach and my eyes are bugging out of my head. Damn allergies. Figures the weather would get real nice but in that same breath there goes the air, for me anyway. I'll be back on to update if there are changes for Frank unless he beats me to it. Otherwise I'll talk to you all tomorrow. |

there's no proof anyway... :p it's funny, last night we watched a downloaded episode of Law & Order, Special Case Squad, and that's what the guy did... ran off to hide in Belize !! lol, we were CRACKING up here !!!!:D:cool: |
Uhuh see I knew the farm at ChezKay was a front!
|
yeah, a front for the Untied Mariahoochie Growers Union... lol !!
yesterday I spent three *hours* cleaning a Z, preparatory to making Cannabutter. http://cannabis.com/faqs/cannabis_re...ipe/index.html the greenery was a gift from a local friend who knows I have MS, and been having leg and foot spasms lately. the cleaning project reminded me of old times back in high school... see, the stuff back then was low-grade from Mexico, and was all seedy and stemmy... later, we Californians got spoiled, with all that potent and seedless sinsemilla. anyway, the reason the cleaning TOOK so long is the humidity here, and the zillion seeds, which *wouldn't* roll out when I tipped the cookie sheet, but instead had to be picked one at a time from the pile. add in clumsy and numb hands, and bad vision, and that really ups the time involved... and here's where I made my MISTAKE. I figured that since it LOOKED like the Mexican stuff from the 70s, it was about as weak... so, I chewed on stems while I worked. ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR !! Houston Control, do you read? I was like, flying... giggling, and guess what? hee hee hee... my LEGS stopped hurting, like totally !! or I just didn't CARE anymore... :D:p:D |
Sitting here with my cup of coffee not looking forward to a large chunk of my morning. Have my regularly scheduled MRI, which takes about an hour and a half since they do both the brain and the c-spine.
How much more fun can a slightly claustophobic person get?:D Just hoping that they don't find anything new and that the weird symptoms I had this summer were because of the heat. :grouphug: Hope everyone has a great day |
Good Morning!
Anyone hear how Frank is doing? I guess Sandy will post an update if Frank doesn't do it first. Nothing much planned for today. It's cloudy and we're supposed to get some rain for the next few days. I'm going through my closet and weeding out things I no longer wear to take to a shelter here in this county. That should keep me busy (off and on) for the next several days. Good luck with your MRI, Jenn. Sorry you're claustrophobic. That must be hard. I'm not and actually almost fall asleep during mine - if the tech would just quit interrupting by using the intercom system to ask me if I'm doing OK I probably could! I hope everything turns out OK and nothing new shows up. Frank, if you're reading this I hope you're feeling better. Maybe you're home by now. Kay, put those stems away, girl. We can't have you flying around the jungle like a crazed monkey!! :D Hey, did you have a snack afterwards? Everyone have a good Tuesday! |
Jenn Jenn .. bring along a couple of instrumental CDs that you like .. and they will play them during the MRI session ...
I know - I can almost go to sleep too ... (have to keep my eyes closed due to claustraphobic too) Kelly - that's awesome about you 'cleaning closets' ... Kay - Belize was on Jeopardy again ... boy, is your nation ever popular with the clue-crew!! quilter's biker group?? now THAT's original ... good one, Renee!! |

Wow. Hadn't heard that name in a long while. LOL thanks for the recipe! Jenn...those MRI's. Well, I do what Vonn does, close my eyes. And where I have MRI's they do pipe in music. Claustrophic here with a capital C! Frank???? Helloooooo? Deb???? Hellooooooooooooooo? |
Maybe I should have put in my soap that Kay was leader of a smuggling ring, but was really no good at smuggling cause she was to silly from chewing stems to accomplish anything.
|
Kay, ROFLMAO! Glad to hear it works for yet another person with muscle spasms!
Jim and I talked to Frank for a long time last night. I told him to come on and update but he must have been so glad and forgot because HE WENT HOME LAST NIGHT!!!!!!! :yahoo::Dancing-Chilli: Yep, they released him and he was glad to be home. They said he had some sort of inflammation that they believed caused the problem. I'll let him tell you what it is because I forgot the name already. He also said they ordered up new MRI's. We had such a good time talking to him last night. I had him on speaker phone and chatted away about this and that. Hopefully we'll get him and Deb out here when the weather stays cool and he's feeling better. So, if your reading this Frank, welcome home! My update is we're going to see Jim's spinal cord doctor today. Not sure why but I guess it's a follow up. Good thing because I think Jim has a sinus infection. Shoot, we're both suffering. It doesn't help when the neighbor next door starts a bonfire early this morning and I wake up thinking my house is on fire! :yikes: There goes the allergies. Hope everyone has a good day and Renee keeps coming up with our story line. Girl, you should send this stuff to the soaps network! lol |
Frank - How are you doing? I hope all is well with you and that you are feeling better. Check in when you can.
LOL, Kay. You crack me up. Fin - I too am claustrophic. So much so that I go a little sedated. It makes it much easier. I did take 1 too many lorazepams before I went once and did got to sleep. Big mistake as I jerked around and they had a hard time getting the "pictures." LOL Last time I only took 1 and it worked out. They were able to do my spine and head in 40 minutes. I literally fight to lay still the whole time so they don't have to do a repeat. Good luck today! I hope you get great results from the MRI. Kelly - DD18 and I are cleaning out their (DD16 & DD18) closet and dresser today. It seriously needs to be done. They have far too much clothes. I think they have 2 tank tops each in every color possible. lol Well, that was a little exaggerated but it sure seems like that when we do the laundry. Vonn - Renee is on to something there. What about doing a biker themed quilt and auctioning it off on e-bay? That would be cool. You know those Harley riders; they love anything Harley and will buy anything Harley. I hope you all have a great day! |
Well I started out on DS's 'puter this morning but switched over to DH's when the blankity blankin' cursor locked up on me again. I don't have time for this carp this morning.:mad:
Lots to do including giving the dog a bath before she goes to the vet this afternoon. Looks like the before school starts vacation has become two brief vacations after school starts. DH thought we needed more time to plan things and I agreed. Off to give the dog a bath and get going on the rest of my things. Hope everyone has a great day. Glad to hear Frank is back home. Hope your MRI goes okay FinLady. The machines here are way too noisy for me to sleep in. Can't even hear my music really they are so loud. Maybe they are better now as I haven't needed and MRI for a few years. Okay I really am leaving now. :p |

put the rest of the stems on to simmer, gonna make myself a nice cuppa tea. Quote:
luckily, mi esposo had just baked a muy delicioso CHEESE CAKE !! lol, I scarfed, like, THREE pieces, man !! :D:o:D my update-thingamajigger-dohickey-dealiebopper: our friends with the Parrot Rescue and Rehab brought us a FINE pair of TURKEYS yesterday. they said the white female was too young to mate yet... but the TOM was just full of feather-displays this morning, and whaddaya know? today they walk the farm together, and promenade in circles around each other. looks like they're in LOOOOOVE !! and doing a mating/courtship dance right outside my window, it's so unbelievably COOL to watch !! oh, and at 6 am this morning, we had a visitor who wanted to barter. she (lemme guess, sixteen years old?) was clutching two HUGE bags of fresh picked bok choy from her mamacita's plantacione, and (it took 20 minutes to negotiate the deal with our limited Espanol) we arranged an equitable trade, 5 newly-hatched pollitos (chickens) plus one young rooster, plus a couple of little bags of dried fruit (papaya and manzana bananas from my dehydrator) AND a big bag of fresh-fallen mangoes. we just kept adding to her pile until she nodded that it was a fair trade... :D so, everybody was HAPPY with the outcome, and we're going to have yummy fried greens with our huevos for breakfast, lol !! CiaraMarie tossed a bunch to the geese, and they LOVED the fresh bok choy. and my bunnies and guinea pigs get all the outside leaves, so they'll be happy as well. ;):winky:;) |

I wanna see if I know the question... :p |

meeting with a friend (she's our age with vision issues) ... so I can share with her about the quilt corp .. .. and she'll be able to help me get my foot in the door to the blind schools, etc ... I know that I'm going in the right direction ... and, now with a fellow quilt owner/friend helping me figure out how to write grants ... okay - this is something I've always thought would be so cool .... buy an old-time tavern (with the old wood/victorian-type) ... or even an old vic-home ... so that I can have the studio in the front, and live in the back ... NOW, just to find a place ... and because I'm bringing a good thing to the world - hmm ... maybe someone would buy one for me and gift it to the corp and then be able to write-it-off as a donation .. wouldn't THAT be cool? sorry to blab on and on .. just that I'm excited (and better emotionally than I was LAST year at this time! what a basket-case!) ... I've said it before: MS has been good to me .. now I can do what I've always wanted to do - help others ... KAY .. I don't remember the answer ... just knew that the question was "what or where is Belize?" ... |
:hug:Vonn, you've got a heart of gold. I truly hope that your dreams come true. That would make you and alot of other people happy at the same time!! :)
|
Quote:
if not an old vic-home ... can always build my lighthouse ... and have an unattached garage/studio ...to have a place to display and work on quilts (and store inventory) .. NOW I'm onto something!! and all will be w/c accessible ... |
im so sorry last night got out of the hospital around 8 ish, got home talked to sandy around 930pm and was gonna come on and post but was so wiped out had been awake since 530 am sunday morning, i snoozed
ok good news its not my heart bad news the test put me in a spiral spin and was shivering for over 2 hrs was sweating and shivering was gonna stay but docs and deb, who remembered last time i had this test with same outcome, agreed it was an ms reaction I also got new meds for the cholesterol no BP meds cause my BP was 90 over 52, doc said thats good if you are an inch worm, har har. she feared the cadeut was too much and now we have a home BP tester and will check every day but for cholesterol i will take lipitor, anyways in the scripts was another one for all these mri's which i know i talked to one of my docs counterpart out of his office but for life of me i could not remember why the scans. Sandy you were right because this chest heart pain is not new, he wants to see whats going on and see if there is a new lesion or maybe an old one missed and its sitting on a certain part that may be triggering these episodes. oh yeah and thank god Deb and son didnt go shopping at sams club yesterday the freezer died yeah we lost a bit of food:Bang-Head: everyone that prayed worried and posted, dont ever think it doesnt mean much. it can be a life saver, especially when you are down and scared and unsure of what is going on, you all lifted my spirits and my heart so much, for this I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. |
Frank glad to hear you are doing well, I ahve a lesion that effects my breathing so it makes sense that yours could cause your problems.
I have tried calling Sandy 3 times today grrrrrrrr! No answer, thats ok my best friend in VA isn't answering today, nor is my exhusband! |
since Sandy is at the docs I guess its ok she didn't answer my calls LOL Tonight's dinner since it has been raining and damp for three days is a hearty Fagioli yall come on over..........
|
Renee, I'll even bring my own bib! Sounds yummy!
Frank, glad to hear you're home. Thanks for the update, and take care of yourself. Vonn, I love the idea of a harley quilt! If you could combine wolves and harleys, my hubby would buy one in a heartbeat! Two of his favorite things, LOL Kay, Cool that the animals are getting along. :) ~~~~ If anyone was praying - thank you!!!! Easiest MRI I ever had as far as the fear factor went. I usually have to keep my eyes closed too. I even managed to accidentally open them once without a panic attack, which is unbelievable for me. :) Of course being wound up and nervous has me experiencing some muscle fatigue right now, but it too shall pass. :) hmm. probably should come up with a dinner plan myself, lol. |
glad you handled the MRI easily, i too fear being put into a torpedo tube and shot out to sea:grin:
|
(((Frank & Deb))) Just so glad you are home!
|
Fin - Glad to hear the MRI went so well. You must have been so relieved afterwards as well as proud of yourself. That's right, you can admit you were proud of yourself. We all understand.
Frank - I am glad you are home and really hope you are on the mend. I do hope that you get some answers though so that you can understand it. I have had chest pains similar but not as severe as you with the hug (yuck, I hate that word! It is a vise not a hug). Like Renee, I also have trouble breathing sometimes due to those dang spinal lesions. Just getting settled in for the night. Maybe going to watch some TV, maybe just go to bed early. The stress of DD and finances is getting to me. I haven't been sleeping well and today took a 3 hour nap and now it is 7:30 p.m. and I'm ready to call it a night. LOL. |
Thanks Trish, how is DD 16 doing i hope some improvement, try not to over worry mom, I know easier said than done

BTW: the cannabutter is now simmering away upon the stovetop, imparting a delicious aroma to my humble jungle abode. :):D:) |

I wanna be pain-free, or at least, with less *acute* pain. how do I DO that, and not be all trippy and estupido ?? :o:rolleyes::o I've got the usual leg-tightness, and hobble, combined with NEW and utterly abysmal severe spasms that make me moan aloud... and remember, I gave birth to *3* children, quietly, at home, and unmedicated, (using meditation and breathing) so I'm kinda tough as nails.... so if something is making me CRY out in agony, ya gotta know it's gnarly... seriously, Baclofen is unknown here in the jungle, and MS is so rare that I believe there's only 2 or 3 others besides myself who have it, and they're expats too. I just want some friggin' pain relief, and any suggestions are welcome (except for those who'd say "move back to civilization!" LOL !!) :D:p:D |
Quote:
it takes a bucket-load of concentration to hold perfectly still and relaxed. Finny, glad your MRI went exceedingly well for you !! me too, I bring my own CDs... I find I can relax better to the Moody Blues than Mantovani, lol !! |
Quote:
and yeah, without the MS pushing me, how ELSE would I have had the courage to follow my dream to the ends of the earth? “If the world had any ends British Honduras would certainly be one of them” (Aldous Huxley, 1934 - British Honduras is now named Belize) :D |
Morning, Morning. Dinner went well last night. Baked some chicken tenderloins in honey mustard, and it actually worked out. Yum! Chicken fingers without all the bad stuff. :)
Got a lot to do today. Some clean up stuff around the house and finding room for my new art desk. My dad sent us some money for our anniversary and I found this one on sale for a very good price. Yipee! I love sales! Frank, I'm not as afraid of being shot out like a torpedo as being left in the thing, LOL. But I do like your analogy. :D Old irrational fear of being trapped. I know where it comes from and have gotten better, but still hits me every once in awhile. Hmm. Maybe I need Kay's secret recipe for relaxation. :D |
Mornin' all. I tried to fix DS's PC last night but sadly that didn't work. Tried to use it first thing this morning and it promptly froze up. :hissyfit: So here I sit at DH's 'puter wondering what to try next on DS's. A sledge hammer is one option but I think DS might have a fit if I did that.
Anyhoo... Plenty to do today. Dishes, laundry, planning for this and that, shopping... Hope everyone has a nice day. |
I think I really, really need to go to Belize. That ocean is whispering my name.
:thud: Hope you all have less pain today. |
the gently lapping surf is sweetly serenading you with a rendition of "Howdy Doody" ??
 :D  |
