I can't believe how young I look.:) I don't know about sexy but I was divorced, young and very poor. I think that Olan Mills offered the pictures for free to lure you in.:p I got the free one and couldn't afford to join up. It was rough raising that adorable child by myself. He was the sweetest child. Who would have thought it???

He was the cutest little baby in the world.:) I do not know how in the world I managed to raise him all alone. That pictures makes me think about my David and I against all odds. LOL He's has been missing for one year as of yesterday.:(

I know the weather is going to be wild! There are a couple of weather problems that are going to meet in Oklahoma tomorrow. We are supposed to have a lot of rain. We always have wind so that's not unusual for us. It will be higher than normal. I love taking my naps on rainy days so that's a great excuse for me to be a total slug tomorrow.

My loss is temporary I hope. Bad choices and a lot of time will tell.

Trying to wake up a little. Up earlier than originally planned, but that's ok. Hee hee, have the coffee all to myself right now. :D

Been keeping tabs on Ive. Habit learned from when hubby was a tech for a CAT team. All started when once he called me on his cell telling me he was driving through a hurricane to get to their staging area. :rolleyes:

He still kind of misses it, and because they also provided some food and water to people in the storm hit areas, he felt like they were helping out. Prayers still going out.

if you have direct tv they have the KHOU station from houston on for me its one channel before the weather channel 361, its more detailed than the other channels

over 2 million without power may be 2-3 weeks before power is fully restored, wots and wots of wawa:eek:

Not sure what I am going to do today. We were going to go to DBF's yesterday but since he is going to his sisters (lives on my side of town) today to cat sit over the next week, we decided not to. Gas is too expensive right now and to drive the 15-20 miles out to the rental only to come back to this side of town today didn't make sense. We are trying to conserve on the gas.

I did fill up while the prices were still down. DD17 told me that she heard on the radio on her way to school that prices were going to increase quite a bit. So, we topped off the tank (had a 1/2 tank in there).

I have a boat in the garage, I just got back a 20 minute round trip to take sean to work took almost an hour and a half all the low lying roads are totally flooded out and being detoured everywhere, the spill ways are all filled and flooding out into the street, I sure hope this IKE turns north soon the further west it goes the more likely we are gonna get hit with it here, debs mom is ok so far inbetween little rock and hot springs,

Hi everyone....I'm late today. Slept until 8:30 AM which is super late for me! Got up and made French Toast, bacon and coffee for Kevin and Jessica. He was going to do it but I asked if he'd just let me....#1 for the sake of my kitchen :p and #2 I really just wanted to do it. I haven't fixed breakfast like that in years and I enjoyed it. They chowed down and there wasn't a crumb left!

They've left to go garage-sailing and then to the county fair. Matt left early to go to the gym and then to a GA Bulldogs pre-game party. I swear that boy has such a social life!! I hardly ever see him but that's OK...he's happy.

I watched hurricane coverage until late last night and then it was on all morning. What a huge storm Ike is. I'm praying that there isn't any loss of life.

Not doing much today...gotta run to the post office and then by Kroger to pick up some milk and bread....ya'll pray that I can get in and out with just those two things!

Hey all! We're doing fine. The rain was drenching the area earlier this morning. Jim and I woke up around 3am and turned the tv down to listen to it. There is nothing like falling asleep to the sound of rain. We should be Ok as far as flooding at the house. The guy who used to own it installed two sump pumps and an alarm in case they both fail. Talk about over doing it, but good for us.

Jim wasn't feeling good last night and said he wants to get antibiotics. I gave him a bath and he started to fee better. We'll see by Monday how he feels. At least we know he can come in as an outpatient. Bad for cc but good that he doesn't have to sleep there.

I was going to paint today and probably will even though it's raining. The doors are shut and the air is on as of last night so the humidity is lower in the house. Maybe I can get at least one coat on and see how that goes. The green colors freak me out because I am so not a green kind of girl. BUT, I have to say it looks so nice next to the wood. Changes are a happening at the Champion house. lol

Everyone have a good day and stay cool and dry. Looks like Ike will be hitting us tomorrow. My grass will be ten inches high by the time this is all over!

Good Morning! I also did not sleep well last night. I got up at 1:30 to check out Ike and then woke up again about 5:00. I finally gave up at 6:30 and got up. I am really envious of you all that can nap. I will lay down and rest, but I cannot fall asleep. I am afraid that I am totally dependent on ambien now (have been taking it since March 2007), and it has not been working that great for several months. I also find myself getting up in the middle of night for a snack. I know I am doing it, but cannot seem to stop it. If I do not get up, I cannot get back to sleep. Once I eat something and go back to bed I fall asleep again. I assume it is the ambien that is causing it. This happened to me last fall when I was teaching too, but I rarely experienced this during the spring and summer. I suppose I should tell my doctor.

Right now we are under a flood warning, but it has not rained for a few hours. I think we are supposed to get between 3-5 inches tonight and tomorrow. I talked to my sister in Austin and they have not gotten any rain at all. Of course they are in a drought there and could have used a little. She said it was just a little breezy (they were going to go fly their kites), and they only have a 30% chance of showers this afternoon. They did not get any rain from the last storm that hit Louisiana, but we did here. Strange weather! Oh no, I am talking about the weather again.

Hi Everyone - been a busy week around here with school starting and trying to make a few slate sales.

I did finally apply for unemployment and got approval letter this week so that is good. I also got a letter yesterday saying that if you are starting a new business you can get unemployment while getting your business off the ground. I am going to a meeting on Wednesday to find more about it. Plus, just maybe they will help pay for my schooling! That would be a bonus!

I have been really tired - stressed to the max but I am hoping that may be relieved a little this next week.

Please say a little pray for things to work out for the best this coming week for me. I have some personal issues coming up that I am VERY worried about - I just need to get through them and move on with my life.

Alot of my students wear galoshes. I guess they are fashionable again. They come in alot of different colors with designs on them.

It is getting windy here, but the sun is also shining. May not make it to the movies if it get bad.
