still numb about the denial ... but emailed my MS chapter about how the disability (from work and SSDI) have been treating me ...

I'm being denied because I have a brain that I'm trying to use to do something that works for me ...

talked with my doctor about this ... and the nurse said that she's been doing this for over 30 years and don't understand why one is approved like "that" and another is not ... and that its the government we're dealing with ... and to "hang in there" .. let's just say that my arms are tired of 'hanging on' anymore ... :stirthepot:

but, they haven't heard the last from me ... MARCH ON!! :mf_swordfight:

It has been raining off and on here since last night, and is warm and humid. I think we are supposed to get rain until Monday. Then the temperatures are supposed to fall. Don't you just love my weather reports? I am such a geek!

I just talked to my sister in Austin, Texas and she said it is starting to get windy there, is really humid, and 96 degrees. She said that traffic is horrible (lots of evacuees) and the grocery stores are packed. They live about three hours inland from Houston so they should be fine. I think they are under a wind and rain advisory.

OK - serious stuff here.....I want to retract my whine about Kevin's girlfriend. I feel terrible about it and feel like I've been talking ugly about her behind her back and then turning around and being nice to her face. :( Which...I have. Inexcusable.

They have gone out to dinner (and invited me but I was just not in the mood to go out). She got here about an hour before Kevin got home from work and we talked and visited and it was very enjoyable. She's a sweet girl and I really do love her....I guess she just gets me on days when I've had too much stimulus! :o

Anyway, I have felt bad about whining about her ever since I posted the two (or was it three??) updates about her. Shame on me and 30 lashes with a wet noodle...or whatever is available. I deserve it!

I should be counting my blessings that he is dating someone as kind and responsible as she is. I've seen what's out there and if any of it ever walked through my door I'd probably faint.

So....tell me what a grouch I was (am) and how bi***y I was being. I have no room to complain.

I have done so good on my diet these past few days I think I need to go have a big bowl of ice cream as punishment...what do you think? Harsh enough? :o :p

Chris had a gf once, his first love and I hid my feelings well when she was around. But after awhile, I couldn't anymore. They did eventually break up and low and behold my son agreed with everything I thought about her. lmao That was a once in a lifetime thing!

There were prolly 100 people in line at walmart gas station and 40 plus at our little tiny corner store!

I have needed to get gasoline all week and have been putting it off. I even told my sister (yesterday) in Texas that they needed to go fill up their two cars. I finally just went and paid 3.99 a gallon here. It was 3.59 at the beginning of the week.

My brother has been scanning old slides that are from as far back as the 40's that we found in our late Aunt's things.

Yesterday, he came over and I gave him 2 slides of me taken in 1976 when I was about 25 that were supposed to be in a photographers portfolio. I'm doubtful it made it. LOL There is an old faded portrait picture taken in 1973 of me at age 22 hold my son at age 3. My hair was past my waist in the one with my son. That's about as hippie as I got in the 70's.

It's hard to believe these pics are over 30 years old. I don't feel that old until I see these.:p
