Frank, I do have a low grade fever. 99, but for a person whose normal body temp is 97.6, I guess that would be equalivant of having one of 100? No wonder I'm hot.

Of course, the question is now why. I don't think sinus infection, because I almost always know when I have one of those. Been having those things since I was a kid. Hometested for UTI yesterday, nadda.

LOL, you made me hunt down our themometer - Thank you. Neither hubby or I thought about that. ;) Now I need to hunt down some tylenol and see if I can break this fever. Pass the pitcher of water. :)

Aw, Fin. It could just be some sort of virus or even allergies. Sometimes I run a slight temp (around 99) when my allergies are acting up.

Although, I too, have a "normal" body temp of 97.1 it really doesn't mean that I am running a fever. The 98.6 that they say is normal is just an average they came up with based on a group of people. Most people run somewhere around 98.6.

Drink lots of fluid and get some rest. Keep your body cool. If you start getting achy, try a cool bath to keep you body temp down. If you are like me, when my temp goes up so do my symptoms.

Hoping you feel better soon, my friend.:hug::hug:

sorry Fin you are feeling crappy - hope it passes soon. I am one who runs low also... so when I do go to the doc and it is only 99 they say "oh you don't have a fever"

Hey all, we're home! The gastro doc was very nice. He really can't do anything for Jim because he said unless we fix the problem that causes his gastro issues his problem will always be there. He thinks Jim's issues are from his meds and unless he can give them up, there's nothing but a temp fix for the problem. I know I am being vague about what's going on but Jim would not be happy if I let you guys know what was going on. lol

He did suggest we see a colorectal surgeon just to get a more informed opinion but said surgery should be a last resort. In other words if Jim is not uncomfortable and not having major issues, then leave well enough alone.

He said we did the right thing by coming in. Better safe than sorry.

OMG, something really funny. When we went into the exam room Jim got himself settled in with his wheelchair. He wasn't really paying attention to the room decor. I told him to look to his right and his eyes bugged out of his head! There was a complete set up for an endoscopy and colonoscopy next to him! LMAO! Not neglecting to also tell him there was a life size rectal sculpture looking right at him! ROTFLMAO

The doctor was truly prepared to do the test if he felt it was necessary. I know, it's not really funny but if you had seen Jim's face you couldn't have helped but laugh! :p

Char, just caught up and I am so sorry. I like the idea of setting up an account if you have your own bank account. Use someone else's picture!
