Good morning everyone! Hoping those of you where it is so cold are staying warm.:grouphug: No snow here. LOL It's supposed to be in the lower 80's today.

Kelly - I get my printer ink at Office Depot or Target. I get the generic brand and it so far seems to work. I also have a printer that each color is it's own cartridge as I find I save more money (and ink) that way. You can check out the prices online for your printer. (Mine are $8.99 per cartridge).

Vonn - I am glad you had a good trip up north. With all you have going on it sounds like it was a much needed get away.

DebbieD - Was the baclofen you took the 10 mg and you just 1/2ed it? I tried the 10mg a week or so ago and I woke up hung over and in a daze all day long. I wonder if doing 1/2 would work better. Anyhow, I am glad it worked for you and you felt better. Yeah!!!!

Congrats on your DD's engagement. How exciting. As for DH, hopefully he will come around. Wasn't it the movie "Father of the Bride" where the dad was freaking out about the money and all the foo foo stuff? That is what I thought of when I read you post. LOL

Tara - Isn't it fun have the little nieces and nephews around? Mine just crack me up and while it is a lot of work babysitting them, it is sad to see them leave. I am glad you had a good time with them.

Renee - 3/4 of you Christmas shopping done! I am impressed. I haven't even thought of it all.

B2Y- I hear you. It would be just my luck I would stock up on printer ink and my printer would stop working and the ink won't work in any other printer. LOL Saying a quick prayer for your brother.

Ok, please forgive me, that's all I can remember so far. UGH!!! This morning I decided to just try doing this from memory. I remember wanting to say something to some of you (Frank & Sandy) but for the life of me I can't remember what I was going to say or what was posted. :o :D

Hi to anyone I may have missed. I am thinking of you as well.

tkrik 11-16-2008 09:50 AM

Ironically, I was going to post to Sandy & Frank that I often forget too! LOL

Kelly - I would hit the chocolate isle too!!

Wiz - I hope you are feeling better.

Weave - Good luck on the job prospect. Saying some prayers for you.

Hi all, I'm the local lurker with a little printer tip. My habit for the last few years has been to take advantage of the advancing marketplace & technology. I have one "serious" printer that I use only for important stuff and one uber-cheap one that I rotate out.

Since a cheap printer is always available now for around $20, it makes more $$ sense for me to buy one with one extra black cart and only use it until it runs out of ink. Then, I donate it to the elementary school and take the tax deduction.

For drafts and non-essential/file copies printing, I always print in grayscale only, which saves a ton of black ink and uses no color.

NEVER run the "clean print heads" option if it can at all be avoided, this requires a significant amount of ink. To correct many printing issues, stick your nose in the compartment and look for lint deposits, carefully pull them out with tweezers or hemostats. Never stick a q-tip or anything fuzzy in there.

Unless you print on a daily basis, do not store paper in the feed tray where it can collect dust which is then carried into the printing mechanism. Keep paper supplies in original sleeves and only load paper as it's needed. Most printers have a door that doubles as the feed tray, keep it closed when possible.

It's much cheaper to put photos on a jump drive and print them at a photo stand in a drugstore or bigbox store. The ink and photo paper are the bread and butter for the suppliers.

LOL, sorry for the lecture! Apparently, I'm passionate about my printing. :o

Good morning to all from the cold state of ohio. Brrr. Hoping this finds everyone well :)

I read through the posts and can't hold a thought longer than 5 seconds right now. LOL, I think I need more coffee. :D

Good morning everyone! Hope you all have a decent Sunday! I slept in today until about 8:00 and I have been grading off and on since then. I need to finish these exams today, because tomorrow one of my class turns in their research papers. I am so happy that I have next week off. I just need to get through this week.

Well, I need to get back to my grading. Will check in later.

Hey all, been a busy morning. Phone's been ringing with relatives telling me mom shouldn't live alone. I know this, they know this, mom doesn't know this. ARGH She cannot remember yesterday and thinks she's OK. She claims until we eliminate my cat, she's staying where she is. Ummm, no, not gonna happen. Every since her surgery she is scared of everything. She's been here before with two cats in the house. Now we have a declawed, front and back, and she's scared. Go figure.

Anyway, hope this finds everyone doing well. I am cleaning the living room and kitchen later. I think I have a cleaning problem. haha

Ok, not to make anyone sad but I have to share this song. I heard it on the CMA awards and bawled like a baby. Even Jim teared up. You have to hear this. If you cry, I am sorry.

Just A Dream

Hello All! Well, I've been on slow mo for the past 3 days. Guess I overdid on Wed, and I've been running a low grade temp for a couple of days. I blame everything on the weather. ARGHHHHH!

It's cold here, but the sun is out.
On a good note~ The tornadoes in NC were in my DD's county and she said they had a horrific storm, lightening and all, but they were untouched. I'm very thankful for that.

Well, today is the last Nascar race and I will be glued to the screen albeit in a horizontal position on the sofa. Did put a pot roast in the slow cooker and will add potatoes and carrots later. Now, that's an easy meal.

Take care all and keep warm.

SandyC 11-16-2008 01:26 PM

DM, hope the temp isn't something serious. Take care and stay glued to the couch.
