Fried corn is simple to make and so good. You take a bag of frozen whole kernel corn or canned if you prefer but drain it good. You melt about 3-4 tbsp of butter or margarine in a pan and add about 1/4 cup of chopped onion and sprinkle with garlic salt. Add the corn and fry it until it starts to brown. I use a 16oz bag of frozen or two cans of corn.

Happy New Year everybody!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: After working yesterday until 5:30 and staying up past midnight I was extra tired today. I slept until 11:40am, lol. Then I vegged for several hours before getting dressed. I did some overdue exercises and after supper now I'm in my chair again with Rocky sound asleep on my lap.

I work tomorrow (alone, thank goodness) to finish up some end of year accounting. Next week I work M, T, TH & F then early in the wee hours of Saturday we head for O'Hare for vacation! Our flight leaves at 5:45am, so I'm hoping I can doze on the plane.

I really need this vacation but I'm going to miss everybody here! Last year they had computers for guests to use the Internet but I don't know if they do this year or not. I guess we'll find out.

That would be so much fun Sandy, lol. You and I could try to do the limbo at night. Last year they had guys doing it under a pole of fire that was less than a foot off the ground. :eek: They have some good entertainment, other is a bit cheesy but we love every minute. A lot of the staff there remembers us. :D We're the Jamericans that arrive in January. :D

Hello and Happy New Year...I didn't make it to the bon fire last night...a migraine hit in the afternoon. I did get Lasagna made for the others though...then I went to bed. I did manage a small glass of wine before I finally went to sleep. Tonight my DH and I watched a movie while we ate more lasagna and I had some blackberry wine..

anyhow, as I could pop a pill while busy then not remember if popped it or not...:eek: many here probably have same issue with memory on that.

made my son wake, to turn the water on, just so I could fill some pitchers and get water to make my coffee, oh and to give the dog water. We have it off..so kids dont accidentally use it and let it down drain.

When will I hear from the drain guy...hoping soon, I might dial another place and see who I reach first option.

Good morning! Oops, I guess it is afternoon now. I ran a few errands this morning -- drugstore and grocery store. I am going to see a movie later on this afternoon -- "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." It looks different.

I have noticed the past week that my right hand is getting that numb/tingly/ going to sleep feeling more often. My neuro said it is carpal tunnel, but I am not sure I agree. I will have to mention at my appt on Wednesday. I am right handed so I hope I do not lose feeling in it.

Hope everyone is doing well...we had a really good time at our friends' house on NYE...played Xmas Bingo, and someone had brought a bunch of cheap gifts for those who got bingo...then we played Pictionary, boys against girls. We got trounced for a change...usually, the boys are awful at it...

shots are getting easier to deal with. I'm pressing a cotton ball onto the site right after I inject the copaxone, and it hurts a lot less now. Thanks again all for my dads prayers! He seems a bit worried about it all, not surprising, and I think he is feeling the why be positive about it being found early..as Madeline was always full of positiveness and we lost her feeling. I think I know what his scared feelings and worried feelings are about...just never been thru it..

He is over getting bloodwork done today,and my sister took him, so she can help grab the orders and stuff he needs for CAT scan on Monday. She also took him out to lunch I think. Wish they called me..hehe

We now have plumbing, there was roots growing into the pipes or whatever but like 90 ft out..so we wouldnt have ever reached that to clear it. It wasnt too bad of a cost.

Well all, we have tree down, living room a bit more organized, stuff away, just want to try to deeper clean around house. (I never get enough energy to get stuff done around here) Using my oldest two for a lot of the moving stuff around. We also will have to soon, not for sure today, go down to the basement side that the leaking that got floor wet..and as it is almost dry...clean floor and are with bleach or something. But also check thru what is down there..and clean up...uggggg

I am feeling blahhh, as hubby asked me today, and I said well gotta be as happy as I can thru it...that is why i try not to talk about all the pain, numbness, and all to him and kids. live with what you got...get thru it I guess.

The prednisone I think now that took second dose is helping, lots less numb,
and of course didnt hit me with as much as last time energy with it...but hoping as I want to get more done today. Sun is shining..but cold out there.

I did manage to take a walk yesterday, as the snow flurried about me, with numb legs and all. Felt good to get outside, always a good for the mind thing to do, I love walks and miss them. Going to try to get mroe in even if short ones.

Ended up not going to the movie. I found out that it was 2 hours and 48 minutes long. That would have meant about 3 ours or so of sitting, and I did not thiink my legs could handle it today. I would have gone if I was only going with one person due to guilt, but two of my friends are going. The interesting thing is that I could understand that neither of them could understand why "just sitting" hurts my legs. "Big Sigh!"

barb, right now I so know why!! something is going on where once I am sitting or in bed laying down..my body from hips down the butt thru both legs are going so numbish..and then also at night arms too...:( not having too much fun of it!!

but at same time...started the prednisone, hoping it helps more. I am trying to focus on fun in life no matter my body!!

I made it to the store, and actually bought products to make lasagne...(my kids are hinting for real meals...I have been so lacking in that department for many years, having cereals pancakes, anything easy ..help themselve nights)

I know they enjoy real meals, and I should be able to put together simple ones on work days, and all. I love lasagne so when My daughter got on me about dinners, and she said she would help....we decided lasagne...
we have some french baquette bread to bake in a moment, and heating up some corn too.

Then, one of my friends, who is a mom of Kaylas friend, called and asked if we are up for company, so I invited her over after dinner time. We can have some apple pie my mom sent to my house last night. and we plan to play some Wii. Even if feeling cruddy, might as well enjoy the time, instead of sitting patiently waiting to get to bed..and still feel cruddy right.

I wont overdo anymore tonight, and a lot of the cleaning I did today, was totally with the kids working hard...

Got the decs down in the living room and rearranged some furniture. Still waiting on bins to come in so everything is piled in the basement. It's amazing how large the room looks once the decs are down. It's like a new room. lol

duhh Sandy I so read that wrong..I read it like Decks...and wondered wow you have so much decorations you set up some kind of decks to do them up...hehehehehe lol..

Good morning! It is kind of gloomy here right now, but the temp is supposed to go up to 45 today. I just went to take my am pills and realized I took them last night. That means I took my bp med twice yesterday and skipped my cholesterol.:eek: (I think) Luckily, the ambien I take at night is beside my bed. The problem is that the bp and cholesterol meds are the same size and close to the same color. I guess I could not read am and pm last night.:Scratch-Head: I do have a pill container.

So I am just going to skip both for today, and get back on track tomorrow.

I have a plastic Rx tray, and fill it once a week.

there's Morn, Noon, Eve, and Bedtime slots for each day, which is very helpful.
