yes after the movie, I am sooo very stiff!! I get that badly. anything anyone knows can help that part!!

Like even when I worked the double shift, I wasnt hurting really at all during the shifts, but could feel in my body that the minute I was to sit a bit..I might be in big trouble...

I was, after driving home hardly could walk so stiffened up..then after laying in bed...overnight troubles and in morning looked 102 years old..ugggg

anything or any ideas for the stiffness??? hugss all, sarah

tkrik 12-30-2008 12:45 AM

Sarah - I will keep you and your family in my prayers.:hug:

Sandy - Sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope you feel better tomorrow. Also, that is great news about Jim. Yeah!!!

Working Woman (Weave) - Glad you enjoyed your paycheck. I am so proud of you!

Frank - It is sad when all the decorations come down. It always looks so empty and bare; like something is missing. :(

Some work came in for me today so I was pretty busy. Just checking in with you all before heading to bed.

sabimax 12-30-2008 06:27 AM

Kitty 12-30-2008 07:43 AM

Good mornin'.....got several errands to run today so I'm having my coffee and trying to wake up. I took some Baclofen before I went to bed last night due to pain and stiffness.....it knocked me right out and I slept pretty good.

I found a recipe for Frozen Cranberry Margaritas that I think I might try. I never drink.....ever....but I have a bottle of tequila that's been in my cupboard for years. And I like margaritas so I might just have to try this one. I'll post the recipe for anyone who wants to try it.

Frozen Cranberry Margaritas

1 can (11 1/2 ounces) frozen cranberry juice cocktail concentrate, thawed
2 cans (12 ounces each) lemon-lime soda pop
5 cups water
1 cup tequila
1/4 cup lime juice

1. In 3-quart plastic container, beat all ingredients with wire whisk or spoon until well blended.
2. Cover and freeze at least 24 hours until slushy. Serve in margarita or cocktail glasses.

It's gonna be warm here today but supposed to get really cold for the rest of the week....and rainy and high 30's on Friday!!

Hope everyone in the mid-western states are doing OK...looks like ya'll just can't catch a break with the weather extremes.

I read all the updates but cannot remember each one so I'll just give a :grouphug: so I don't leave anyone out! :o

Have a splendeferous day! :D

DM 12-30-2008 07:54 AM

Blues Girl 12-30-2008 10:56 AM

Good Morning!!:)

I'm so happy to be back and feeling better! I've been sick since the middle of November! I had a respiratory infection that eventually advanced to pneumonia and I ended up spending a few days in the hospital. Still have a nasty sounding cough and fatigue, but feeling much better than I have in weeks.

I've really missed you all. We live just outside the city and dsl is still not available. We've been on dial-up for almost two years and when I feel bad or am sick, I just can't sit at the computer desk for any length of time. So since this episode, we've started shopping around for an internet service in which I can use my laptop.

We're checking into Alltel since they're already our cellphone provider, We're hoping to have it all taken care of before February. I'm really anxious to use my laptop again. I won't feel so isolated when I'm sick or tired.

Sandy, I hope you're feeling better today.

My pillow is calling. I need to lay down for a while. Hope everyone is having a good day! I'll check back later this afternoon.:grouphug:

tkrik 12-30-2008 11:00 AM

Hi-Ya, Tara!!! woo hoo!! :yahoo: nice ta-C-ya!!

Great to see you Vonn!!! I was sick when your postcard came in the mail. Darren brought in the mail that day and I remember hearing him say "Evangel College"??? and going on about how nostalgic the picture was and asking who sent it to me......and reminding me that it's now Evangel University. I reminded him that you attended Evangel College during the same four years that he and I attended Central Highschool. I believe that postcard might actually qualify as an antique!! I love it!!!

How long has it been since you've seen the campus? I drive by it now and I'm amazed at how much it's grown over the years. Same with MSU and Drury.

Thanks for sending it to me! It brings back a lot of memories!:)

I've been careful what I eat since the spicy Chimole didn't set too well.

here's what I had for breakfast:

http://www.papayatreenursery.com/gal...serialNumber=4

it's called a Cherimoya, and the one I polished off was a little smaller than a football.

there's no dishes to wash, the peel forms its own bowl, just grab a spoon, and scoop.....

Imagine the flavor combination of white nectarine, mango, banana, with a hint of pineapple to boot!

http://www.papayatreenursery.com/gal...g2_itemId=2021

this was my very first Cherimoya, a gift from our neighbors...

Momma's Kids 12-30-2008 01:20 PM

I drool just seeing the picture...I love papaya, especially dried and it is just tooo hard to find in these here parts.lol

SandyC 12-30-2008 04:34 PM

Hey all, still hanging in there. The tummy is better but gets to hurting if someone gets me agitated. Hmmm, I may be onto something here. If I say my tummy hurts because I am getting upset the house is quiet. teehee Shhhhhh...

ewizabeth 12-30-2008 04:46 PM

Did somebody mention tequila? :p Anyway, Sandy, DM and Blues Girl, you all get better soon...:hug::hug:Anybody else under the weather too...

Working on end of year at the office, I wish tomorrow was already here so I'd be able to get more done!

Vonn07 12-30-2008 04:53 PM

KELLY KELLY ... I was going to make a 1/2 batch ... (only a 2 quart container) ... then I figured I could make it ... well, everything except ONE can of pop ...

NaeNae 12-30-2008 08:51 PM

Happy New Year's Eve everyone!! Hope everyone has a nice day and if you're going out tonight please stay safe.....and have a designated driver if you get too happy!! :D

I'd be a great designated driver.....I should start my own business....."designated driver for hire". I think it would do well! But, it would help if I could stay up past 9 PM!! :o

Blessings2You 12-31-2008 07:29 AM

I slept in until 6:15! Whoa! I'll be off kilter the whole day.

This is Lame Joke Day! This is the day I always said to my customers, "See you next year!" I look at Bob with a fake mean expression, and say things like "This is the last time I'm going to make you breakfast this year! You can make your own breakfast for the rest of the year!"

We're expecting wind chill tonight down to -35. Guess we'll stay home. Oh wait, we were going to do that anyway.

FinLady 12-31-2008 08:44 AM

Morning all! Coffee brewing in the background. There's a lot of wind and some dusting of snow on the ground.

Ten to one, we're gonna stay in and celebrate at home. Hubby got a bottle of champange from a client of his as a "thank you" gift before the holidays.

I need to remember to brown sugar the sauerkraut overnight for our traditional pork dish for New Year's Day. Takes some of the kick out of it.

Okay, need to get some coffee. Feel like I'm rambling. :o

Hope every one has a happy and safe New Year's!! :grouphug:

CayoKay 12-31-2008 08:52 AM

Not according to Forest Gump. "Me and Jenny goes together like peas and carrots". That is one of my all time favorite movie quotes. Along with one from "Steel Magnolias" the one where Ouiser says to Claireee "You know I love you more than my luggage".

weegot5kiz 12-31-2008 09:58 AM

Those are my two all-time favorite movies. I've probably watched them both fifty times. I can even quote the lines right along with the actors as they're saying them! I just love Forest and Jennay! And, even though I've watched them over and over and know what the endings are.....I still cry! I'm such a girl!! :p
