Hey all,
Well...my mom and sister when up north at hospital saw the surgeon. So far more is being pathologied... so far, they were told, two of the lymph nodes had cancer in them..or however they put it. uGGGGG

Then, they told me his knee is swollen, so when I was there, wow big swollen knee. which is hurting him a LOT, he was taking walks last few days, but I tried with him today, the nurse brought us a walker even...(that is how bad his knee hurts). we took a very short walk in hall!!

but he still no bowel noises so they keep the tube to tummy in nose..uggg he is sooo wanting it out and foods...

they said his knee might be gout!!?? not sure what that is, he has never had it before.

He is looking so much older than he is, or actually he has always looked younger than his age, but wow..hard to see him, suffering..and bothered.

So, I am thinking once they get the rest of pathology report, he will eventually see an oncologist, to make a game plan, as if in lymph nodes..I believe they will do some kind of chemo soon enough.

Not expert here, but funny thing his nurse tonight, a guy, has had this colon cancer and surgery just back in fall. Now he is on chemo himself. So we had a long talk, about the best things for dad right now...(which is walking, for bowel noises to get going) although his knee is hurting so much.

my mom is going up tomorrow, if not too much snow falling...she might take a few of my sisters kids, might pep dad up more.

I dont work till evening (long story but I can tell you after sometime)

I was thinking of going up quick in morning, to hospital, but maybe should take a day off. Just find it hard to think of dad in the bed, without what I find much care there. If I dont go for a bit, I will make sure my mom knows how very important it is for him to walk, and that she can ask nurse for help for him out of the bed, and the tubes and all.

ok sorry long, hugsssss and burrrrrr, sarah
