Trish, hope ya get through that list

Sarah, sorry to hear your right side is being stubborn. Hope your new doc can help ya out.

Frank, definitely agree with the others. This is one time to let the MSbs shine through so they can see what's going on. Keeping fingers crossed for ya.

Weave, thanks for checking in.

~~~~~~~~~
Snowed than iced than snowed again, so our roads are a mess this morning. Lots of hazardous road warnings. Glad I went to the store yesterday. They are running out of salt in a lot of places nearby since this is the most snowy winter in a long time for this area. Come on, spring!
So sitting here sipping my morning cup of coffee. Been sniffly and not feeling too good. Got some meds on standby for that (also picked up from store yesterday, thank goodness). Really not expecting to hear from doc's office at all today because of the weather.
Stay safe and warm everyone.
I've just been in lurk-mode is all, dearie!
got the bathroom cleaned, and then conked OUT for the rest of the day, got up, had dinner, and went back to bed.
next day, got the house swept, and zzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
I'm just so gosh-darn tired... sniffly, and (dare I say it?) COLD !!!
I'm really *glad* we snagged half-a-dozen blankies last year - some enterprising Mennonites brought in a truck-full of nice thick warm "stripped" electric blankets, with all the wires and controls removed, and the bottom seam hanging open, lol!
I'm guessing they got a pretty good deal on 'em, eh?
they were on sale for only $5 each, and I couldn't resist, thinking that perhaps during hurricane season, we might have unexpected guests, seeking safety in our sturdy concrete-block house.
anywayze, we've been using FIVE of them on our bed !!
normally, all that's needed in the tropics is a SHEET, or perhaps a light cotton blanket, so I'm grateful for my preparedness, hee hee hee...
in the EXCELLENT news department, check THIS out:
[IMG][/IMG]
Barb, do you know what any of those arcane/obscure course titles and descriptions mean?
lol, 'cause *I* sure can't figure out some of 'em...
but I have to say, I am INCREDIBLY proud of my little girl!
Kay, sorry to hear it's still chilly your way, but kudos to you for being prepared.
It's awesome to see how well your daughter has done. Really Cool!! You have every right to be one proud mama.
Kay, your daughter's brilliant! I'd be so proud of her. She must have inherited your side of the "brain genes"!! I'd frame that report card for all the world to see!
I hope it warms up for you down there. It's been unusually cold everywhere this year.
Take care of yourself.....going from warm to cold like that plays dirty little tricks on those of us with MS.
Snow then ice closed DS's school and delayed DH's work by two hours. It appears as though DH did go to work this morning. Now he did sling verbal mud at me before leaving. He could make an appointment with a divorce lawyer, and quit his job today too for all I know. Anything could happen and I'm sure it will. We are scheduled to meet with our pastor tomorrow but the time will need to be changed a bit. Keep us wrapped in prayer. The warmth and caring are sanity savers right now. Time to go shovel the frozen carp.
Good Morning! Well we got about 8 inches of the white stuff. Roads and streets are still horrible around here. I have not seen a snowplow yet on my street. I really hope they come to do my driveway and walk before the visiting nurse comes this afternoon. Everything is canceled around here except for classes at my university. So I canceled my own classes and sent emails to the students. I hate using sick days for this, but I was not going to take a chance on getting caugt out in the snow in my car or falling down. The temperature is 15 degrees, and people are getting stuck in their cars everywhere. The snow drift in front of my porch is about a foot and a half. It took my secretary one hour to get to school; usually only takes 15 minutes. Plus they are just starting to plow the parking lots at school.
Frank, I am scheduled for my first injection today. Good luck with your meeting!
Governors can be removed from office for wrongdoings in the the office. This usually means crimes that you can be prosecuted for in the courts, but can also include ethical issues. It depends on the state constitution. The prosecutor that they are referring to is a member of the House -- not a federal prosecutor. The house votes to bring charges; the Senate tries the case.
Criminal charges are separate from the impeachment proceedings. From what I understand the FBI is not releasing all of their information to the Senate because they are taking it or will be taking it to a grand jury to file criminal charges against him. They are not going to give away their case against Rod until they can bring formal charges against him. Then during a criminal trial all of the evidence that the judge allows as permissible will be brought forth. He has been under investigation for two years and they did have to have evidence to get permission to wiretap him. It is well known that Rod has been using "pay to play" politics in his campaigns and appointments, etc for several years. Of course, he is not the only one in our fair state that is guilty of this.
Kay, I love seeing transcripts like that.
I hope everyone is having a good day. I am going to use part of my sick day to do some cleaning and laundry.
Morning all! The water heater is in and minus a few leaks and scratches it's working. LOL We will divert a pipe later that the old owner put in. Weird contraption for sure and not sure how it passed inspection. Anyway, it's in and no more orange water!!!!
Barb be careful out there! 8 inches? We only got about three here.
Update on Renee. She iced in big time. She can't even get out of her garage because she has no power and is iced in. She has no power, no heat, no nothing and the city says maybe Saturday before they can get power. Please keep her in your prayers. Her b-day is Saturday and so far the days leading up aren't so good for her.
Frank, good luck today!!!
Weave, stay with God through this. But seriously, be careful around him. Please also tell your pastor your fears.
Trish, 40's can be cold for those of you not used to it. I agree it's better than the 80's! Go Cardinal's this Sunday!!!!!
Jenn, glad the ct was easier for you. I hope they come out OK.
Sarah, I hope you get the results soon! I am anxious to hear how they come out.
Kelly, you may want to borrow duct tape from jmiller. lol
Gma, Your posts are always so sweet. We're here for you too.
Wiz, I agree about Blago. I do think they should have done the criminal charges first so not to stir up doubt. I actually started to feel like the tapes they allowed didn't prove enough. But because they wont allow the whole tapes to be heard, they are stuck with assumptions. However, with that being said, I did listen in and they have far more than the tapes on him. For example, the Children's Memorial pressure charges. Rod and his brother are something else and you could tell they chose their words carefully on the phone. Not to mention the teachers retirement funds and medicare bills not being paid. He hanged himself.
Kay, thanks for popping in. You are glowing with pride of your daughter!
Have a good day everyone and if I left you out I am so so sorry. I try to get everyone in. To those who are only here once in awhile we hope to see you soon.
Kay, I assume your daughter's degree is in psychology or counseling. I am not sure why she took lingiustics courses. Is that her minor?
