Sandy, thanks to you and your thread, I've had this song in my haid for days and daze now:
Jacob Joseph's mother, she was quite my favourite wife I never really loved another all my life And Joseph was my joy because He reminded me of her Narrator Through young Joseph, Jacob lived his youth again Loved him, praised him, gave him all he could, but then It made the rest feel second best And even if they were - Brothers Being told we're also-rans Does not makes us Joseph fans Narrator But where they had really missed the boat is Brothers We're great guys but no-one seems to notice Narrator Joseph's charm and winning smile Failed to slay them in the aisle And his father couldn't see the danger He could not imagine any danger He just saw in Joseph all his dreams come true Jacob wanted to show the world he loved his son To make it clear that Joseph was the special one So Jacob bought his son a coat A multi-coloured coat to wear Brothers and Female Ensemble Joseph's coat was elegant, The cut was fine The tasteful style was the Ultimate in good design And this is why it caught the eye A king would stop and stare Narrator And when Joseph tried it on He knew his sheepskin days were gone Narrator & Female Ensemble & Children Such a dazzling coat of many colours How he loved his coat of many coloures Narrator In a class above the rest It even went well with his vest Such a stunning coat of many colours How he loved his coat of many colours It was red and yellow and green and Brown and blue Joseph's brothers weren't Too pleased with what they saw Brothers We have never liked him All that much before And now this coat Has got our goat We feel life is unfair Narrator, Female Ensemble & Children And whe Joseph graced the scene His brothers turned a shade of green His astounding clothing took the biscuit Brothers Quite the smoothest person in the district Joseph & Female Ensemlbe I look handsome, I look smart I am walking work of art Such a dazzling coat of colours How I love my coat of many colours Narrator, Joseph, Ensemble & Children It was red and yellow and green and brown And scarlet and black and ochre and peach And ruby and olive and violet and fawn And lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve And cream and crimson and silver and rose And azure and lemon and russet and grey And purple and white and pink and orange And red and yellow and green and brown and Scarlet and black and ochre and peach And ruby and olive and violet and fawn And lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve And cream and crimson and silver and rose And azure and lemon and russet and grey And purple and white and pink and orange And blue I do fairly good with the lyrics ... until it gets to naming all those colors! I sang MY version to my daughter yesterday. She laughed. We both love this play!

We were going to see Footloose with one of my husband's co-workers but at the last minute my dh had to go out of town. Soon after he came back, that guy & his wife, took us to see Dirty Rotton Scondrels. It was really good.

Footloose sounds like lots of fun. I saw Moving Out several years ago when it first was on its trial run in Chicago. I loved Wicked -- saw it up on Chicago about 3 years ago. I really want to see Jersey Boys.

Footloose was a great musical. The first half was bleh, the second half blew the roof off the place! We're really looking forward to Moving Out. The Paramount Theatre is a great place stuck in the 70's with wallpaper and shiny stuff all over the walls.
There were serious moments like when they had to let go of the past and focus on moving on. The church scenes were amazing and the dancing was out of control. The acting was great! Here's a pic of Jim and I before we went in. Sweet Jim. Willard learns to dance!!! Prom!! Parents and townsfolk enjoying it too. Finale, confetti everywhere.

Great pic of you and Jim and of Mr. Hotstuff alone!!! Now, if only Kevin Bacon was there. *sigh* Glad you had a great time; you both deserved a great night out.

Didn't Kevin Bacon meet his maker down in Belize on Kay's farm??? Shows how warped I am that I think of THAT Kevin Bacon first rather than the one that is relevant to Footloose. Many degrees of separation between the two, I am sure.

Moving Out was amazing and I encourage everyone to go see it if it comes near you! We were tapping our feet and singing to it all. It is pure musical. The actors never said a word. They had a real band up above that resembled Billy Joel and the dancers did their thing to the lyrics. AMAZING! You know it's good if you find yourself getting emotional. I had a minor tear fest right before intermission. The story has a military storyline to it and it's pretty intense. Totally unexpected. The lighting was amazing as well and it was choreographed so well that you felt you were a part of the show. The war scenes made you feel like you were in the trenches with them. The group of friends takes you back to simpler days when life was all about your friends and first love. *sigh*
We didn't get pics because they were not allowed at all. Just trust me, it was amazing! We bought raffle tickets to win tickets to Billy Joel and Elton John at Wrigley Field. The drawing is tonight! Wish us luck. To top off the day we ran into an old friend from way back. We haven't seen our friend Jim in about 24 years. He lives right down the road from us! How cool is that? Jim and Jim were best of friends. My best friend was dating Jim (our friend) when I dated my Jim. Her name was Candy, me Sandy. LOL

Glad you had a good time. I did not want to tell you that the actors did not speak and it had a rather loose storyline.

Yea, you definately had to keep up with the lyrics to understand what was going on. The actors did a great job helping us understand what was what. I did find myself fixated on the band at times and lost where the musical was at.
