Everyone is different too, my dad has hardly any disks left due to degenerative disk disease , but luckily only some discomfort and muscle pains , no major nerve pain from it..
Yours mentioned "impression on the thecal sac but no cord impingment or spinal stenosis".
from what I have read that usually isn't a cause for pain..
but might be or might not be..

On avg what is your pain level?

Did you have any injuries- strains, falls etc- long ago from cheerleader or gymnastics?
Did you see anything interesting in the link I posted earlier?
I am going to my family doctor on Monday who said he wanted another mri focusing on my upper and mid back. Maybe that's where the problem are occurring. Pain differs from day to day. Some days it's a 3 some days it's a 7.. Always there even tho dull at times most days I can live with.. What's harder to live with is the numbness. I have had tons of falls during training.. Nothing that sticks out in my mind. I was in a bad accident in 96 where I fractured my jaw knocked out 2 teeth and buy a hole completely thru my tongue. 3 months later I was in another accident where my head busted out windshield. I was left with a concussion after that one. But had no pain or any problems after healing from those injuries till a month almost 2 months ago. I don't know what would have been better then not finding anything or them not finding anything I am also more scared to have this second mri done in fear that they still don't find anything and you can't find fix something that can't be found. Does that make sense. And Mri's are very pricy for me and insurance :-(
