Very impressive Mom!! Put the tree up today and it smells wonderful. Everytime I talk about getting an artificial one Mr.Alffe reminds me how much we would miss that evergreen scent...candles can't hold a candle to the real deal. I almost had a melt down over the huge WAD of little lights...thought I'd never get them untangled. I must have been in a hurry last year when I took them down.

Harry Potter movies... the last 2.

Christmas tree will probably go up a few days before Christmas.
Can never have a real one... I am allergic to the pine oils.

Yesterday I helped Grand-Addy's family move into their new digs - it was fun to help organize all her toys. She had fun dressing up in her princess clothes and finding things she hadn't seen for months... who needs Christmas?!!

I'm going with friends to watch a Gospel Choir's Christmas show this afternoon. We'll go for dinner afterwards - I'm really looking forward to it. These are my friends that I only see around the pool in the summer time.

I hope you had a great time Addy...I love Gospel music!!

I can't think of any Mexican recipes that you aren't already making Abbie...refried beans & rice I'm sure. Do you make soft or hard tacos? Cheese Tostada is an excellent way to start.

We are having waaaay too much food for Christmas but that's half the fun...everyone bringing a dish so there should be a favorite something for everyone.

I am making Swiss Enchiladas with Lobster and shrimp...my brother loved this so will thinking of him when I prepare it.

Default Dear Abbie

Several people have mentioned good mexican food. I have a good one! Use a soft burrito, The filling is yummy. Corn, and black beans cooked the old fashioned way inside, topped with chopped tomatoes, onion, salsa and a dab of sour cream and lettus shredds. the black beans and corn is really a good combo and one of my favorites to make. when I make the black beans, I portion it out, and freeze as I do with leftover corn. It can be put together in minutes with just the origional time for cooking the beans. Hope you all will try this one, you will go back to it time and time again...ginnie PS, I hope all of you have the very best holiday, full of peace and love

I loved the gospel choir yesterday but their band was too loud - they actually overpowered 150 singers! geesh!!!

THEN I got sick all night and am still sick today - am thinking its food poisoning but haven't heard from the other girls to know if they are sick, too. We all ate the same food

So, I took the day off and will make up for it tomorrow...

Abbie... what will you be making for your Mexican dessert? I don't know enough about the food except that its delicious.

I'm not putting up a tree - its weird when you live alone... and I'm having very little company (I'm invited out instead) so.... easy excuse not to worry about it.
