I am 21
no family, friends, job, car
about to be homeless for the 4th time
kicked out at 17 after coming home from a mission trip
couldn't finish highschool
I do not have any sort of talent
I am below average at everything i do no matter how much effort i put into it
I just dont have it in me to go another year like this.

Hi and welcome to the forum....it isn't very active anymore..don't know where everyone disappeared to but I'm happy to meet you and listen if you want to talk. We have a member who calls himself Lonely 1 that would have a lot in common with the way you are feeling....I'm sorry that your life isn't very hopeful right this minute but trust me, you aren't alone..you only feel like you are.

I know that life can seem to kick you in the teeth sometimes. We all feel this way at times. Trust me I have been thru some pretty dark times. Do you ever ask yourself why you feel you have no control over what's happening. It may be at this very moment you don't ---or it could be just from depression blocking your thoughts of finding another solution. It could be combo of enviroment and genetics that enhance your depression. Have you talked to someone about your feelings a counsellor or pastor or PDOC ? With depression there is always hope but you need to first seek out the help. Im much older then you and trust me as dark as things can be they always get better --its life--- you just have to give it time--- and seek out help during the hard times. Coming to this board is a good start you will find people that feel similar as you---we all came here for 2 reasons information and support. I think give it time you will find alot of caring and supportive people.

I'm so sorry you are in this rough patch. You are not alone here. I'm not feeling very talkative but would like to say this. Have compassion for yourself...just as you would do for someone you love. Would you tell a friend/loved one that yes, they are worthless and have no talent? I would think not, so be compassionate and understanding to yourself.

And I always tell people...shop for a great therapist to talk with. They are out there. I found one that I wish everyody could see.

So many things I could say, but being loving to yourself is my first and foremost thought.

I am truly sorry to read of your current position. Remember this, most of us are here because we are not exactly where we would like to be. Myself, I am about to turn 36, have been diagnosed with 2 different back disorders and have to face the fact that I will probably never return to law enforcement again, let alone having to give up all of my hobbies because I can't physically do any of them anymore. This probably isn't the place to say this, but I have considered the "unthinkable" if you know what I mean, many times. Last night, thanks to neuropathy, I spent 2 hours on the floor! Find that one thing that keeps you going. It sounds like you haven't found yours yet - but keep looking, because when you find it, it will be enough to get you through anything.
