Kitty - glad it's not just me!! Doesn't it feel great to get rid of all that stuff? I won't bother having a garage sale though because I vowed after our last one to never have another. We made a lot of money off our daughter's toys but our household stuff didn't sell so it's not worth the work for me to have another one.

Having a date in mind works great. You have plenty of time so I wish you the best in getting it done. Mine was by the end of November (I'm way ahead of schedule!) because we are having Christmas this year. Too much clutter gets me stressed. Plus I knew I'd never find half the things we'd need to host it!!

And we took 2 trailers full to the dump, and a garage stall af goodies went to Salvation Army. (It's a big house, and boy did we pack it full!)

I still have thigs to get rid of. But it feels SO good. I have 2 empty closets! 2 painted bedrooms! Even painted my little corner cabinet in the front room.

I don't think it's some illness coming on - unless watching too much HGTV is an illness.

No HGTV is not an illness, just an addiction!

Wow! And I thought I did a lot. Now you have all that empty space, wonder what HGTV ideas you can get to fill it back in.

I hope it heads to my house, I keep snapping at DH to move his tools out of the kitchen drawers. We dont need keyhole saws, or allen wrenches in with the spoons.

After I get this cleaning frenzy, I always get sick. Then I get lazy and it takes a while to get back into carrying about cleaning again! Wish I could get the urge to clean afterwards since usually by then everything is a mess.

LOL - tools in the kitchen drawers. We don't have enough drawers to hold tools so I got myself a tool chest years ago. My DH is always taking tools and not giving them back!

So I finished the basement today. I worked on it for 6 hours and my donation pile grew and grew. My trash pile was even bigger. Luckily I go everything out there before the garbage truck came. They took everything away. I never realized how big my storage room was before. Everything has a place and every box and tub is labeled. Now I will crash for a few days before I have to do the regular house cleaning!
