Default Massive headache

So far it's an over 24 hour headache. I live for 4 hours to come so I can take some more Tylenol. I have some Lortab I will take at bedtime. I have worried that it might be optic neuritis again but it doesn't seem to be in the eye at all, just completely surrounding the orbit of the eye. I was kind of nauseated earlier but supper helped that. I know I have a lot of sinus problems and a good many of my headaches stem from that but there is no other place on my head that hurts as around my right eye. I do have a sore throat. I guess tomorrow if it isn't any better I should call my family doctor.

Ambien and Lortab make a good combination! Feel much better, just a tiny headache but it isn't focused around the eye today

Well I am starting out with a sinus xray and a trip to the dentist. I have had a bad tooth ache for about a month. I no longer have dental insurance since my husband retired so I always put off making an appointment. You know if you wait it will go away!!!! I have had problems with my sinuses for years and I don't know if the tooth is radiating to the eye or the sinus around the eye are radiating down to the tooth. I am putting off calling the neuro until the last. Can you tell I don't like calling the doctor for anything!!!

Plus I don't like going out in this horrible heat.

Well I had my 2 appointments today. The dentist was very concerned that the tooth in question was one that I had a root canal done last year but the xray was negative. The only thing it showed was sinus congestion. He agreed with me that it was more than likely referred pain from the sinuses. I also had regular sinus xrays of which my docotr got the reports but didn't get back with me. GRRRR!!!! So i guess I will give them another call tomorrow. As soon as I got back from the dentist I called my doctor to let him know that everything was fine with my teeth. So again I am sitting here with a bad toothache and headache.

Nurse finally called me today. As expected, infected sinues. What I did not expect was that the left maxillary sinus was the worst. I have no pain there. I frequently have this pain that incircles my right eye. I just sit and hold my hand over my eye, thinking that if I put pressure on it that it will be better. So now I have to decide what to do about the orbital pain if my usual antibiotic doesn't work.

I hope you feel better. Have you tried a Neti pot? its a way to rinse out your sinus cavity and it helps soooo much!

Thanks Dejibo, no I have never tried one of those. My son in law swears by his. I just remember the news article on TV about some one who had a terrible brain infection because he didn't use sterile water and keep his Neti clean.

You MUST keep them clean or at least sterilize it with boiling water before you start using it again. You can also microwave the thing with water in it for 3 mins and its good to go for a week of use. PLEASE be sure to use the salt packages. Plain tap water HURTS! you will not want to use it again.

I swear by mine! it has saved me from antibiotics several times as it flushes out all the bacteria, mucous and phlegm. I can breathe again! cheap and cheerful.
