Woke up this morning with a bad headache, very dizzy and cery unsteady gait. I didn't sleep well at all. We were going to have to drive about 4 hours to see my sister in law, her Dad died. We would stay there an hour and drive right back. So that was cancelled.went back to bed. I'm not sure how long I slept but I got up 3 hours later. Most of the dizziness and unsteady gait is gone. Lunch, at 2 in the afternoon, tasted good. I'll just have to see how things ho. I'm just upset that we couldn't go to the funeral home.

Sorry that you are having a hard time Doydie.
Sometimes I find that recalling what someone left behind rather than going to their funeral is more meaningful. Things like appreciation and gratitude for others efforts in the minds of their children, knowledge in the minds of 'students' that they may have taught, faith & devotion in the minds of those whom they may have comforted spiritually and most of all, what they demonstrated throughout their lives as something which many may continue to aspire to long after their passing. Please take good care of yourself and be well. In my thoughts and prayers. With love, Erika |

Thanks Erika. I barely knew this man but I know what kind of daughters he brought up. They lived in the same town that my brother and his wife lived so they were like second parents to my brother especially when my parents died. he called them Mom and Dad. My brother said he wasn't expecting any of us to get over to the funeral or for visitation so he doesn't even know we were going to be there. Sometimes I just hate it when MS gets in the wway of my MS.But I also know what we learn from it helps us grow and how we react gives other inspiration. But darn it, sometimes I just get tired of being some one elses inspiration.

A 5 year old child with no immune system I taught at his home died and head of Board of Education told me I did not belong at funeral, he would attend, so I did not go. A decision I regretted listening to when I saw his Mom later and she asked where I had been. Micheal was a kid she knew I had a relationship with. So she and I got together later. Remembered and talked about Micheal. And cried. It's really lonely after funeral stuff is all over. Maybe later worked for us both.

Well after supper I am almost back to normal. I just don't know what normal is! My sister has numerous , and I mean numerous health problems. She was going to go with us. Then tomorrow they were going to Arkansas for 4 days. So it is kind of like of an omen that she wasn't supposed to go today. I din't know how she would have tolerated going today. It would have been an 8 hour round trip.

I'm glad you feel better and agree that an 8 hour round trip is just too much in one day, for anyone, MS or not! Sending my condolences for your family's loss.

Sometimes you have to do some thing that otherwise may not be wise. A sister in law of many years is an important person. But she understood. She and my brother are the kind of people that you want to know.

Sally I was wondering if it was part of a flare but I felt netter after a nap and it was completely gone after supper. So it wasn't a symptom that lasted more than 24 hours.

Doydie, I get the same exact thing. Wake up, very dizzy, very unsteady gate, etc. Go back to sleep for a few hours and its pretty much gone. Mine lingers alittle, like the dizziness lasts all day every day, but the gait improves if I get more sleep. Glad your better.
