I feel silly responding to talks about weather. Winters are great here, summers are brutal. However, I did want to say that I pray for all of you that you stay safe and warm.

This second batch of cold came down from Manitoba. I'm not naming names, Erica, but you have more experience. You all keep it next time, OK?

Actually, I like "Saskatchewan" better. I love to say it.:)

ANN - amusing myself.

We have enough heat down here. Wish I could funnel it up north for all of you. xxxginnie:grouphug:

It just started to snow...again. We're forecasted to get a foot of the white stuff by this time tomorrow....with more to come on Thursday to Saturday.

Given that Ann, we'll have lots to keep on hand for ourselves; so can send some down your way, and not even miss it :D.
Just kidding.
I hope that everyone gets just enough to have it feeling a little "festive" for the season, but please don't let it build up on the roads, or cause problems for anyone. :winky:

With love, Erika

It snowed all day. Small flakes but they accumulated on the branches and branchlets and everything looks so pretty w the dusky sky behind. Ahhh.

Hard to believe I will hate it and soon enough!

Glad you are warm, Ginnie.

Good one, Sally.

This actually happened to a friend of mine recently when she left her car in a shopping mall parking lot for a day of shopping (at 15 below zero). :D

One good thing about my husband being retired. He likes being active and outside so he keeps the cars cleaned off. Right now everything is OK. This weekend we may have another winter event. But the one we were supposed to have this week kind of fizled out so I hope this weekends is the same.

We got 18 inches of snow yesterday...and its still snowing.

Those road crew people better not be hanging out in the donut shop again today, or there's going to be a snow ball fight...inside the restaurant.
Town folk were really mad because the crews didn't do a very good job of clearing snow.
We're all sort of scratching our heads as to why they only did the main highway that goes through town because now it is a real mess on the side roads, with some people snowed in.

Some people are using their snowmobiles to get around. One fellow who lives up the road from me was out on his yesterday afternoon and stopped to chat while I was out in the yard with Willy.
He was heading to the supermarket to get some groceries and to the pharmacy to pick up scripts for a couple of homes that were snowed in.
He took Willy for a run around the block...with him on the snowmobile and Willy bounding through the snow along side of him. Willy was very appreciative and so was I :D.

A couple of friends are coming over at first light (its 2:15 AM right now), to help put the snow plow and chains on my truck. We'll get my driveway plowed out and then she'll drive me to have my surgery and he'll take my truck and get to plowing out some of those people that I usually do (mostly pensioners and the disabled).

Those folks need to be able to get out and emergency/ambulance crews if needed, as well as their care givers, like Meals on Wheels need to be able to get in. They can't afford to pay the pro's to plow them out, so people like us chip in and get them plowed out for free.

Its one of the reasons that I like living in a small town like this...most of us look out for and help one another. :)

Hope that everyone is doing OK with whatever weather and circumstances you are in.

With love, Erika
