I feel the same way. He has a voice but is not ready. To confident of himself not ready to accept critical advice.
I put on BB in between AI. I don't think I am going to watch
it this year. I do not like what they are showing right now. The changes with
the couples together, I don't know. Also it seems to me that the people this
year are very rude, I mean in real life and it is showing real big on the show.
I know there is back stabbing in these shows, but most of them
throw out such a negative personality to me it is going to rob the show of
its fun. Well that is only my opinion.

What did you all think about Survivor tonight? The Favs brought their A game tonight or maybe Chet just lost the game for the Fans, i don't know. Exile island was different. I don't know if any other two contestants would have worked together liked they did. If the 2 couples on Favs saw what the Fans did to their couple, they might cool it a little bit. Felt sorry for her though. She had no idea at all she was going.

Wow, talk about fireworks. Ozzy and Amanda might have had one kind on Survivor but Piers and Omaroza (sp?) had another kind on Apprentice. It was so tiring to watch them. I think Donald did the right thing by not firing any of the losing team but I think he should have fired one of the others just to make a statement. But maybe that's what he wants to happen so he can sell his show and we are caught up in it like mindless puppets. I admit, I'm caught up in it.

But I won't get caught up in BB. I tried that last season and it wasn't worth it.

I fell asleep before the end of survivor....who got voted off?

My exact feelings. Couldn't have said it any better.

Piers looked like a little spoiled brat. His face expressions were something.
Armaroza was really wrong to bring his family into their fight. That was
hitting below the belt. Next week should be interesting.

Mary got voted off. She was really shocked. She was saying
before the vote that she felt very secure about the vote.

How are you Sally? :):)

Feel better Sal Pal~~~

I watched BB and it's starting out pretty dumb, but I will watch. I'm such a lost cause. Survivor was OK. I think the couples just look riduculous... Get a freakin room.

Hi Jappy! Boy, it's hard to keep up witchu guys.....:(

Yappy,
I agree, she was just super. I think the lot of 24 they have chosen this year are superb! This is going to be a tough year on AI! I'm very excited. It is one of the few shows that I watch every year!;)

doydie 02-15-2008 11:53 PM

What do you al think of American Gladiator? This is the first season I've watched it. My husband thinks I'm silly but he goes to the other TV and jsut channel surfs. The finale is this Sunday night. I can't see any of the finalists going on to become future Gladiators though. They would have to do some serious weight training.

doydie 02-18-2008 12:41 AM

Well my two favorites won tonight on American Gladiator, Evan and Monica. No one even had a chance against Evan. I guess I don't know how the game goes. Do they actually become Gladiators on next season? Do they retire others off?

reillymo 02-18-2008 11:07 PM

This Wednesday is the last for Project Runway for a few weeks - and I am going to miss it - its that time in the show when the finalists go back to their homes and work on their collections for the finale.

The Bravo reality shows - Project Runway, Flipping out, Real Wives of Orange County...have all kept me quite amused during the writer's strike! (so glad that is over!)

Biggest Loser tonight! Seems they are all going home for some reason....it's been a good season and Big Brother will just have to wait!

doydie 02-20-2008 12:59 AM

Yeah, they all went home for about a week to give them the ultimate challenge. They all did real god except Roger. He found his favorite hot wings and ate and ate and of course had to have soda with them. Then he had dessert. He ignored Jilllians calls when she called them twice a day. Of course he was the biggest loser last week so Allison announced his big win, a lifetime membership to 24 hour fitness.

They had a challenge as soon as they got back to campus and the black team won. Their reward was to pick 2 members of the blue team to do their weigh in immediately without the advantage of the last chance workout. The guys on the blue team all had big numbers and Bob looked like a proud poppa!

So the next day the rest of the players weighed in. The black team were going to have to lose something like 64 pounds to win. They knew they were picking one off tonight. Rogers still lost some good weight but they all saw his attitude to Jillian and voted him off. He had some health problems at home and had to be hospitalized but still did manage to lose some weight.

Tonight was the first night for American Idol. The guys sang tonight. I don't really know them well enough to form any opinion except I like the baby face 17 year old. They sang songs from the 60's but could make them their own. Tomorrow night the girls sing.

Koala77 02-20-2008 02:11 AM

I skipped back through some of the pages, but 38 seemed just a tad too many!

I think the only ones I really like now are the CSI shows and ones like it. I doubt whether they'd count as serials as CSI only follows on for 2 weeks then it's a new story.

Love CSI !

DM 02-20-2008 08:39 AM

I had to tape shows tonight, they were all on at the same time. I know what you mean, Doyd.... but it was Paul who was the naughty one. You just put the wrong name down. Roger is the football player who was teamed w/Trent.

I felt bad for Paul tho, cause I don't think he'll do well at home.

I am watching BB, and don't even ask me why!! I guess b/c I've watched all the past seasons. When will I learn????

Hi Koala! We need to suck you into the reality shows. It makes us feel somewhat normal watching them...:D:D`

Jappy 02-20-2008 10:54 AM

I only caught the end of TBL. Had to go to my accountant to get
the taxes done. Got sick doing that. This is the first time I have to file
single. It is terrible they should have something different for Widows &
Widowers. Sorry I know I got off track.

Paul has a bad attitude. I think that is why everyone doesn't like him.
I felt sorry when they said when he got home he caught Double Pneumonia
if I spelled it right. Have to agree with you DM I don't think he has the
willpower to keep on going. That has a lot to do with his attitude.

Didn't see AI. Will watch tonight. BB I just don't have the interest
this year. The change this year and the people that were chosen I just
can't connect with it.

Jappy :):)

doydie 02-21-2008 12:31 AM

Thanks for keeping me right DaisyMay! My brother's name and my son in law's names are both Paul. I don't know why I got that wrong unless I just didn't want to think of them in a bad way. Anyway that sounds good.

AI proves to be good this year. Most of the girls were good. The only one I didn't like was the rocker. I'm like Simon, couldn't understand a word she sang. But I also know that AI isn't just to meet the needs of one person but a lot of people so the winner this year may not be what I like. Well I'm off to the website that tracks the phone votes to see who is safe. It doens't track text voting so it can't be accurate.

doydie 02-21-2008 12:34 AM

I read somewhere the contestants on Dancing with the stars. Sorry, I don't remember what ti was. The only two contestants I remember were Kristi Yamaguchi and the deaf actress that has won so many awards. That will be interesting to see how she feels the movement of the music.

DM 02-21-2008 10:54 AM

I haven't even watched AI yet, and didn't know that they were already down to the guys/gals singing. YIKES, better get catching up.

BB is stupid, but what can I say....
I love DWTS's. I think Kristi Yamaguchi has a big edge as she's so graceful on the ice and such an amazing athelete.

Let's see, Priscilla Presley, who is 61, Penn Gillette (from Penn and Teller), He's 50 something and a big guy, Marlee Matlin, (deaf actress) , Mario (singer) Jason Taylor (MI Dophins football player) Steve Guttenberg (actor) Monica Seles (tennis) Hope she doesn't grunt on the dance floor like she does on the court.

Christian DeLaFuenta (Chilean hearthrob) Adam Corolla (The Man Show)
Shannon Elizabeth (actress) My $$$$$'s on Kristi.

Anyway, It should prove for a good season..

Later Doyd......

MSacorn 02-21-2008 02:07 PM

I'm watching AI for the first time in 3 years Yes! I voted for the guy who Simon said was forgetable. None of the girls stood out for me. I used my cell and it felt good to be a part of something. Geez I need a life.

TBL was strange. I can't believe the blue team lost SO much weight. I hope they have a bad week, next week. I'm hoping the underdogs get their collective acts together. Paul, seemed to regret not staying in contact when he went home. I hope for his sake he gets it, and loses his weight. His whiney worry wart ex-wife is such a downer.

This is the first season I'm not watching BB. It sounds like I'm not missing much. That's good. Maybe it's because they had to put it together so quickly because of the writers strike. Or maybe it's just better in the summer when nothing else is on.

I'm looking forward to the PR finale and the new TC in Chicago starting soon on Bravo.

SallyC 02-21-2008 02:18 PM

I'm watching BB and AI...which is difficult, because they are on at the same time. But I manage, without missing too much of either.

BB is strange, this year, with the couples = one, type thingy. This one doesn't seem as much fun, so far.

There is a bunch of good talent on AI, this season. I'm enjoying it a lot. There are Two Women and One Guy I love. Can't remember names right now, but will catch up later and maybe even change my mind..LOL.

When does DWTS start?? I do want to watch it, if I can. It sounds like it may be good this season.:)

sugarboo 02-21-2008 02:44 PM

I watched BB last night...talk about DRAMA~Don't think I've ever seen so much fighting and back stabbing this early in the season. Can't wait for the BF (forget the name) to see that his GF really DID call him a Racist. Anyway, last night got my attention...but Biggest Loser will win out every time...I have a DVR, but hate going to the other set while the DVR records the other

For sure!! She was so sure of herself and trying to WIN at the cost of her relationship with him. She seems pretty self-centered.

I really like Biggest Loser best. What those people go through is unreal. Mom and I watch it and snack during the commercials out of respect.
:)

sugarboo 02-21-2008 03:07 PM

LOL! I made a thick Chocolate Banana shake a few weeks ago during a commercial, then as I licked my spoon, and sucked on my straw, I got this overwhelming guilt about what I was doing when TBL came back on and they were sweating and running! I've gained 10lbs since Thanksgiving, and I really need to STOP the Milkshakes!!!

Hey you!

How about sharing the milkshakes; then you won't have to feel guilty??

Anyhow; tonight is Survivor!!

sugarboo 02-21-2008 03:21 PM

ROFL!!! Splitting my Extra Large Milkshake with AZjanie!!

DD (19 tomorrow!) just informed me that she may choose ASU instead of Texas A&M for college. She was born at St. Joseph's in Phoenix and thinks she might want to go to the town of her birth :) I moved here from there when I got bored (15 winters ago) but now, all I want is warm sunshine...I know Phoenix has that :p ...but think I'd end up more at the boarder near Nevada....at least within reach of DD :D

AZjanie 02-21-2008 03:26 PM

We are just down the road a ways from Vegas!

AZjanie 02-21-2008 03:26 PM

doydie 02-22-2008 12:40 AM

So is it late enough to talk about Survivor? Ok, I guess I will! Oh man, Yau Man is gone. How I hate that. What i hate mote is that they talked about others much more deserving to go but somehow Cerie convinced the majority to vote him off. Was wondering about the reward and the immunity challenges. If you knew you were going to win one and lose one, given tonights rewards which one whould you pick? I think the fans really needed that reward, shoot, they needed last weeks reward to. They need to completely rethink their game plan at their base camp. They have no decent shleter, haven't been able to accomplish a whole lot to eat, not even any unity in the camp. I would give up a team member to get some of those rewards.

American Idol. My least favorite is still in. I was really hoping that Amanda would leave but I guess there is enough people in America that still likes her brand of music. When Ryan gave Garrets name as the first of the guys to leave, they showed a lot of the young guys faces. It really sunk into them at that time that this fame could be short lived.

I'm tired tonight and not very talkative. Maybe towmorrow night I'll talk about the new girls in Americas next top model. what do you all think about them?

Koala77 02-22-2008 12:55 AM

There is (or was) an Australian contestant on American Idol this year.

His name is Michael Johns. Can any-one tell me if he's still in, and is he any good? I think he auditioned in San Diego, but I could be wrong.

We don't get to see the program here as we have our own Idol, but there was a bit about him in our local paper.

Two songs I know he sang were "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Light My Fire".

babs954 02-22-2008 10:30 AM

He was on our local news last night (Cleveland Ohio). They did an interview with him because he has some ties to our area. I know this is only the beginning but he is probably going to go quite far into the competition,,,,,He is good and everyone loves him!

Jappy 02-22-2008 12:12 PM

Doydie I was just as surprised as you that Yau Man was voted off.
After the way Johnatan was rapping against everyone I thought that
he was going to go. That his attitude would change their minds about
yau man..

I didn't like Johnatan when he was on before. This year he seems to have
picked up a more outragous attitued.

I feel the favs. are walking around with swollen heads thinking that because
they were on before that they know everything there is to know about
winning this game.

The fans better get their act together.

Didn't pay to much attention to AI this week. So can't give an
honest opinion.

Jappy :)

Yes; you are right:
Johnathan is being sooo obnoxious and that tribe better get their act together. I was just shocked they voted out Yau Man! It is too early in the game to do that; I would get rid of the dead weight now.

No way could I ever play that game let alone be out there.

If I were going to an island; I want fancy drinks in pretty glasses, good food prepared in a clean kitchen and fun activities instead of challenges. The biggest challenge for me is what to have for dinner??

DM 02-22-2008 03:20 PM

I was so mad they voted Yau out. I was going to root for Cirie, UNTIL she talked everyone into Yau Man.

But, I will watch. I'm a groupie.

I taped AI and watched it later. Boy, they really have some great voices.

Anne... I haven't been following AI until this week; thought they were stsill auditioning. So, can't answer your question.

Hope you got some rest Doyd!!

Hi Jappy!!!!

Hi all!!!!

SallyC 02-22-2008 04:19 PM

I'm still kicking myself for not knowing that AI was on last night...Grrrrrrrr. I'm glad that Yau is off, but I hope Johnatan is next..:icon_twisted:
