[QUOTE=Carolynj;203841][FONT="Comic Sans MS"][SIZE="4"][COLOR="Purple"]Hi Joyce! Fellow Jericho fan here!! I am looking forward to it starting up again - new shows to watch. It seems like that writers strike is killing all my other shows!!

I am also really hooked on Heroes - anyone else?

I tried watching Eli Stone last night - it looks interesting but I just couldn't stay awake. Thank goodness for DVR - I will watch it again when I have more energy!!

Hi Carolyn: I know this strike is also driving me crazy. Maybe next week
with the new shows that are supposed to start we will have something really
good to talk about.

Jericho was one of the shows that always had my attention to the end.

can't wait Joyce (Jappy):D:D

DM 02-01-2008 05:00 PM

Hi Jappy!! How are ya?

Survivor WOOHOO! Hope they vote out Johnny Fairplay first. What a jerk.

Big Brother too~

My name is DM and I love reality shows.

AZjanie 02-01-2008 11:44 PM

Yeah!! Vote Johnny Fairplay our first so we won't have to see any more of him. :D

I am so anxious for Survivor and it will be so nice to see NEW episodes of faves too.

I am sooo sick of re-runs!!:(

Jappy 02-02-2008 07:38 PM

VOTE OFF JOHNNY FAIRPLAY VOTE OFF JOHNNYFAIRPLAY

Do you think that they heard me? I agree with you DM. I couldn't
believe they brought him back. But maybe that is why they do these things
knowing it will bringpeople to watch the show to see if he or someone else
that is not to popular is put off.

I think it is going to be real interesting this season. Also with BB

Big Brother 9

Rumor is that there is no America's Player (not surprising) and that the theme is "Secrets". (Makes sense because they play "Dirty Little Secret" during the promos.) Apparently naming secrets was part of the interview process but it's unknown at this point how it's going to play into the game.

Survivor starts tomorrow night!!!!!!!!!!

Because of all the storms last night The Biggest Loser wasn't on. They are going to re-air it for us Sunday morning. I did peek over on the web site and found out who was voted off. I have tonights Project Runway on my DVR and I'll watch it later.

Cat_In_The_Hat_ 02-07-2008 02:45 AM

Watched a good one this evening with my son called "Moment of Truth" where contestansts answers questions on a polygragh and then all comes out in front on their family and friends. What a riot. I can see some lawsuits and divorces happening. Love it!

SallyC 02-07-2008 12:43 PM

Survivor tonight.....when does BB start?

sugarboo 02-07-2008 01:07 PM

I think BB starts next week! I noticed that tonight "Survivor" conflicts with "Lost". It's an easy decision...."Survivor" wins with me!! I may, however, TIVO one and watch the other on another TV....

Decisions! Decisions!!

DM 02-07-2008 01:59 PM

Thanks for the reminder about Survivor.

TBL was good the other night, so make sure you watch it, Doydie.

Next wk promises to be good ,too.

Jules A 02-07-2008 08:55 PM

That Johnny Fairplay is such a freak. Baby, maybe, but my money is on the fact that he was probably suffering from alcohol withdrawl.

doydie 02-08-2008 12:39 AM

I hope it's late enough for me to talk about Survivor. I don't think it would still be on for any of you. I had a scare today. My MIL is in a nursing home and usually has one trip a year to the hospital for pneumonia. Today happened to be it!!!!!!! So I set my DVR to record Survivor. We got home and there was still about 20 minuteds left of it to play but I was determiined to not watch any of it until I could see all of it.

Those fans showed the favs that they were in it for the money. I was so proud of them. I still don't understand the individual immunity. Will it be hidden again for next week? There are some hot and steamy romances! Goodby Johny Fairplay. I hope you enjoy your new baby girl. The older woman on the fans team freaks me out. I wish she didn't have the immunity idol.

sugarboo 02-08-2008 11:38 AM

HA HA!!!

Fairplay was toast from the get go!!!

Looks like a great game is in the making!!!

Can't wait for next week!

SallyC 02-08-2008 02:12 PM

At first I was glad to see Yau man come back, but after his performance last night, I'm not so sure. He was showing a mean (evil) side, I didn't like.

I had missed Johnny Fairplay, somehow, so I don't know why you all disliked him. I wish he had stayed a bit longer, but he was acting a bit idiotic last night.

Bring on BB..:D

JessieSue 02-08-2008 02:19 PM

Oh No!!!! What am I gonna do?? I think BB and House are on at the same time!!! Oh the cruelty of having to choose!!! LOL

Jappy 02-08-2008 02:20 PM

I was so glad to see Johnny Fairplay Goooooooooooooo :D

He is just a big liar that doesn't care about anyone. I can't forget the lie he used about his grandmother on his Survivor quest.
This time it seemed he was trying to use his girlfriend (poor thing) for sympathy. But everyone had him pegged.

Jappy

Jules A 02-08-2008 02:29 PM

I also think its going to be a great game. How cool that the fans won last night.

I didn't think Yau was being mean. It didn't really look to me like he actually slammed Fairplay's head into the boat like he whined about 10 times. They were both running for it and a collision was the result from what I saw but maybe I missed something.

In a way I feel very sorry for Johnny Fairplay it seems like his life is spinning out of control. His behavior last night was very unstable, imovho. Without professional help and some good medication it wouldn't surprise me if he has a very unhappy ending. Don't wish that on anyone. :(

sugarboo 02-08-2008 02:34 PM

Jules,
I have a DVR and did a quick rewind....Fairplay was a foot short of reaching, sprug ahead and slammed his OWN head into the boat. Yao Man had nothing to do with it!!! The only thing that made contact were their hands!!

I think once he realized he couldn't get thru his lies this time, he wanted to leave by his own hand. So glad he's gone! GAME ON!

Plus he already had an idol didn't he?
Good riddance!
:winky:

DM 02-08-2008 04:46 PM

*doing happy dance that Fairplay is gone. He's a nasty lil man.

I saw him on an Entertainment channel a while back and he was fighting w/someone and got thrown out of a club. I feel sorry for his baby......

*if that is indeed not a lie*

Looks like next week, they will be showing some romantic hook ups. Blech, just what I don't want to see. I think Jonathan tells a couple to "get a room"..

Go Fan Faves...

doydie 02-08-2008 11:57 PM

In an interview Jeff Probst said that this the first year they actually had to use the condoms that they have always provided. I bet it's Amanda and Ozzy. I'm disappointed in Ozzie and James. I hope it doesn't affect their ability to compete at the level that they have shown before.

Jappy 02-09-2008 10:17 AM

I am not a prude far from that. But if I want to watch a show with
sexual encounters that should be my choice. This is a show that is supposed
to have excitement, challange, friendships, competion yes of a physical
encounter but not one of sexual. It takes away the whole meaning of the
show I feel. Maybe I am wrong in my feelings but, that's the way it is.

Also it is on early in the evening and a lot of young ones can be
exposed to the show.

Jappy

Jules A 02-09-2008 11:19 AM

Yeah, its TMI, imo. I guess we will see how much the show.

The making out doesn't really bother me but remember that episode of Big Brother where they went at it? That is just inappropriate when you are on national TV, imo.

sugarboo 02-09-2008 02:09 PM

I'm thinking the stars team will ruin their own game by getting off track (rolling in the sheets, if they have any:rolleyes:).

Go Fans!!!!

Jules: The first idol that Fairplay got was the other teams, so he threw it on the ground and dived for his teams idol...thus the 'head in boat' incident :)

Now that whiney woman has the idol  I saw the preview where she is bawling her eyes out that she does not belong there...she should give the idol to someone else so they can vote her off! People who get there and want to leave had NO CLUE to begin with...what did they think? Presidential Suite when 'off air'???

I think they could only use the idol at the first t.c. It always suprises me when they say they didn't think it would be this hard, and this group should really be aware. My bet is that it is even harder than it appears. That was the same lady who had no tact at all in finding out about the others. Ta ta

reillymo 02-11-2008 02:54 AM

I didn't realize what a reality-show freak I was until I saw this thread!

I love Project Runway, Top Chef, Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, Make me a supermodel, Design Star, ....yikes!

And I am addicted to Animal Planet's shows - Animal Precinct, Animal Cops/Detroit, Houston and Phoenix!

With the writer's strike it has been slim pickings and I am so grateful for Bravo, HGTV and Animal Planet!

Mo:cool:

Bearygood 02-11-2008 09:51 PM

Somebody Help Me!!!!

WHY am I watching Paradise Hotel 2???!!!????

As for BB, I am NOT ready to become consumed..sniff, sniff.

sugarboo 02-12-2008 08:39 PM

First BB Winter starts tonight!! w00t! I thought it started Thursday but saw it on the guide 8PM AST :)

Hope it's a good game! Stay tuned.....

Smiles: On Survivor, you are right...but both teams have it to use at their first Tribal Council....so that woman still has her's to use....This has to be my favorite show :)

doydie 02-13-2008 01:32 AM

Who kidnapped Simon Cowell? He was actually nice tonight. They had the first night of Hollywood auditions tonight and will announce final 24 tomorrow night. They sure did it a lot differently this year. Maybe tomorrow night they will have all the drama of people having to come up with group routines and all that but I suspect not.

Biggest Loser was good tonight. Of course the people that have done poorly sometimes get the breaks and get immunity given to them before they know they need it. Trent was a good man to tell his team to vote him off so he could get home and get his bumb knee taken care of.

Good luck to all you BB fans. I watched it last year for the first time and there is just to much lying, decieving and backbiting, not to mention all the under the sheet activity that goes on.

Bearygood 02-13-2008 09:26 AM

Big Brother 9

Well, to me it doesn't appear to be that interesting a cast of characters, at least so far -- hardly any diversity! All young adults except for one single 46 year old mother??? We'll see how it develops. And so much for the "Dirty Little Secrets" concept! Just goes to show you that everything you read on the internet isn't necessarily true. :D

One thing I didn't even think about is that they've been in the house for longer than a night! It felt so "live" to me but when I tuned into Showtime it was obvious they'd been there for at least a little while longer. I only watched about half an hour but picked up on a few things. If you want to know, highlight the text below with your cursor and if not, skip to the next post! SPOILER ALERT BELOW!

So much for the long lasting secret of Jen and Ryan being together. Don't know if anyone found them out or if they spilled the beans. There seem to be two separate camps of group alliances, with Jen and Ryan being on opposing sides and all being very open about it. (Ryan was shown discussing the nomination with the opposing group.) Jen is breaking down and doesn't want to put Ryan and his partner up and her group is trying to reason with her. (They think he should be voted out.) She seems to be exhibiting some early "princess like" behavior and is not getting along with her partner. Also, I didn't see anything on this on screen, but there was a blurb scrolling across the TV about 2 of the women (sorry, I don't know all their names yet) forming the "lesbian alliance", pretending that like Jen and Ryan, they are a couple and have been dating for 14 years. I believe that one of the women involved in this is the 46 year old but I don't know the other one.

AZjanie 02-13-2008 11:16 AM

Thanks for the info on BB. I taped it and watched Biggest Loser. Yeah; Trent is a great guy and I had tears rolling with him.

That is such an emotional rollercoaster show!! I can't believe how hard they train and no way could this old lady ever hope to win a challenge!!

Mom and I always watch Biggest Loser and out of respect for the contestants we only snack during advertisements!
:D

sugarboo 02-13-2008 11:22 AM

I found myself in a dilema too when I realized that BB was on at the same time as Biggest Loser...I went with Biggest Loser and popped into BB9 during commercials. What I did see didn't draw me in......

Whenever I snack, I feel guilty!! I like the commercial idea!! LOL!!!

DM 02-13-2008 12:48 PM

I feel faint!!!! I forgot all about BB last night! Tell me I'm wrong and that this is just a bad dream. Rats!! I did watch TBL tho, and got all teary eyed about Trent. What a cool guy.

*stomping feet like my avatar* Dagnabbit, I hate missing BB, esp on day one......

Agree with you DM. To me this year everything seems to be
"BLAH"

Did anyone watch JERICH? That show makes you wonder about
the events of this world.

Have a good day.

Jappy http://dl4.glitter-graphics.net/pub/...ocrullobw6.gif

AZjanie 02-13-2008 02:16 PM

We watched Jericho last night!

I keep saying it's only a tv show; none of this is real or will ever happen....or will it??

Curious 02-13-2008 08:33 PM

 shhhh...no talking...american idol is on. :D

doydie 02-14-2008 12:50 AM

I was pleased with the 24 on AI. Over on their message board a lot of people are in an uproar because they turned away the young guy that lived in his car. I think my favorite so far would be the 16 year old boy. Of course it's a little to early to call!!!!!

Oh, I forgot all about Project Runway. They iliminated 2 tonight. Well acatually it ended up only one but the final 2 will have to take their designs to Fashion Week in New York and they will be judged and only one will be let in. The 2 in are Chris, Jillian and then The big heavy guy and the one who always drapes (sorrym names escape me) are the ones who have to still be judged.

Curious 02-14-2008 09:49 AM

we liked the young guy too. the guy in the car...well..felt sorry for him..but wasn't impressed.

some of the girls are pretty good. i think asia'h stood out because of her dad passing away. but she sure has some pipes.
