Dancing w/Stars is on three, count them, 3 nights this week. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I believe. I know it's an 1-1/2 tonight. I've got that show set to record.
I watch BL with my Dad, if you can believe it. I think that's what has got him on a health kick. We started downsizing our portions today, and he wants us to eat the chips and candy so we can go gang busters on the weight loss. He's too funny. Nothing wrong with reality tv if you enjoy it and it's not causing harm to your life. I find it a nice diversion from my own reality for a bit, anyway. |
Tonight was my first time to actually watch a whole episode of DWTS! Yes, I'm hooked. Being 57 myself and an avid fan of Dr. Quinn, I love Jane Seymour. My husband said she would have been his second choice for a wife if he hadn't found me. She is so beautiful, graceful, just everything. I didn't like the spice girl and cheeta girl. I think they had to much hip hop in thier style, not that I am an expert. Only expertise I can claim is two seasons of SYTYCD.
|
I enjoy dancing with the stars.. I didn't see the whole show but I thought Marie Osmond didn't stink...LOL
|
Tonight I think I hit an all time record. I watched The biggest loser, Dancing with the stars and The beauty and the geek. I recorded the first hour of TBL, watched the 90 minutes of DWTS and during commercials and long introductions, I watched TBATG! After the 90 minutes of DWTS I turned TBL on and watched the last hour. So tomorrow I will watch the first hour and the season premiere of House. All this is getting hard to keep up with. I feel I am really turning into an ADDICT!
OK, how did I think the shows went. I felt so sorry for Wayne Newton, I don't see him lasting long, I hope he takes it OK. I don't know how the millionaire got the scores he did and the boxer kind of boxed his way around stage. So I think it's a tie for the bottom three. My favorite was the Indy 500 guy. His natural Brazilian moves came into play. TBL. Jerry! The team Captain, the one who chose everyone of you! You vote him off! I know everyone pulled small numbers but he's the team captain. But he has lost a huge amount at home and that's the reason they did it. He looked great at home. I was glad the red team finally won a weigh in. I like the trainers at the weigh in. It makes them a little more accountable. TBATG. Remember this is my first season to watch it, so all the challenges are new to me. I like the concept of it. I think I like how the women are doing more than the guys. They really have to show they have more than just fluff in their brains. The guy that was eliminated was my favorite guy. It is so funny seeing a guy being one of the beauties. Can you imagine a man speding an hour getting ready in the morning! |
A lot has happened in Reality world since Tuesday night! What are you guys watching. I'm just glad that I have finally gotten over my fear of messing up the TV by using the VCR. I don't know what I would do these past couple of weeks with all the new shows coming on. Now I am just going to have to decide if some of the new ones are worth me giving up the old ones for. I guess what I am refering to is my crime dramas.
Not that I am an expert but I was dissapointed in who went home on DWTS. I thought Wayne Newton needed to go. OK, that'as all I know about that show. Americas next top model, another new show for me. Tyra Banks has just paired down to her final 13 and this week made her first elimination. It is interesting that someone with Autism is on the show. She is a very socially awkward young woman. It will be interesting to see how she reacts to what models have to wear and how they pose. Those other guys on the show with Tyra are just the hoot! Survivor. Ashley as a porfessional wrestler is used to being the star and will accept nothing less. I think that's why she was voted out. If the team doesn't win next week, the next big "boss-Dave" will leave. There were sure a lot of blurred out nude shots in this episode during the mud fight. |
Where are all of the reality show addicts? Are you all at some RSAA (Reality Show Addicts Anonymous) meeting? I refuse to admit help! I stand on my premise that if I can't live my life the way I want to, I will always watch a reality show that puts me there!
OK, I'm over that!!!!!!! Last night I watched DWTS. As usual, even though Wayne Newton is a legend, he is not a dancer. Also Jayne Seymour may be one classy lady but she isn't a latin dancer. Her mother died yesterday and she still danced but was gone tonight. I'm still staying with Beauty and the Geek, my first season! I really like that show. Unless the beauties are really putting on a show for thier future careers and money, they really care about being more sensitive to the less than beautiful. And the guys are enjoying themselves, especially the guy beauty. Of course he is really out of his element on the program. He has no interests in what the guys are doing and hopefully all the girls are trying to better themselves. So he does what he knows best, flirt and get someone under the covers with him. But is so disheartening to see one of the couples go becasue they seem so sincere. Maybe I see this show with rose colored glassses because I had never whatched it before. TBL. Wow, the red team won complete team immunity and they sure needed it. i think they only lost like 9 or 10 pounds as a whole. The black team lost 50, they have never loot a weigh in. So the blue team had to send another member home. But the members they have sent home are really doing well. So Bon should be proud of himself. |
I don't believe it!!!! Here I was, all settled in to watch the results show of DWTS.......and I fell asleep. :( So HELP! I didn't see who was sent home!! Wayne Newton? He's definitely the worst dancer. Please, please tell me.....I've been wondering all day!!!!
|
I think 1 show a week for DWTS is quite enough thank you sheesh - I don't keep up with all the shows so I miss a lot -- I don't know either Judy:confused:
|
Albert and Anna were voted off. I think he was the male model hunk that liked to show as mush of his chest that he could. And it was worth it. He was robbed, Wayne Newton should of gone.
And speaking of chests, I'n not so sure about James on Survivor. He showed a weak side tonight. He and Jean-Robert were just hanging out in their little man made lake discussing all the teammates. They were really cutting down Courtney and saying she needed to be the next to go, then Leslie. I know that that kind of thing happens every season but he was my James, just perfect. I think I read it in a TV Guide interview of Jeff Probst that James' mouth will get him in trouble later on in the game. Poor Courtney, I don't know how long she can last in that environment. She has almost no body fat. I'm surprised they didn't vote her out, she was a major reason why they lost their challenge. I think they voted out Leslie because she was the one 'kidnapped' to the other team after the reward challenge and she bonded with some of fellow Christinas and that worried her team mates that she would have some immediate alliances when they merged. I weatched Americas Next top model, ANTM, last night. Again this is another first season for me. I still can't remember a lot of the contestants name unless they are just a 'in your face attitude' or stick out for some other reason. The judges really like Heather. She has that illness that I can't rememebr the name or even spell. It's a form of Autism. |
Thank you Doydie!!! Wow! That really was a surprise -- Albert and Anna. I agree, he might not be a wonderful dancer but Wayne Newton is alot worse. Guess it has to do with their fan base and "Mr. Las Vegas" has a big one.
I forgot about ANTM. Saw it once this season and I can't remember the name of the disease Heather has either. It's always amazing to me how much different all the girls look in full make-up, hair, etc. Usually they just look like anybody you'd see on the street. Thanks again for bringing me up-to-date! Does anybody watch "Meercat Manor" Friday night on Animal Planet? They're the cutest little things, but I can never watch when one of them gets killed. It's so neat the way they have their family order, "The Whiskers", do their housekeeping, foraging for food, babysitting, etc. Only gross thing is they eat scorpions, millipedes, all those yucky things. Do we have too much time on our hands?? :) |
Is the disease you're talking about Aspergers(sp)?
|
Thanks, that's the name.
|
Well guys, it's been awhile again. Seems like we go several days between reporting on our favorite reality shows. I felt so sorry for Wayne Newton last night. I know he wants to show he can keep up but he just couldn't do it. I was glad they finally voted him off. I was afraid that most of the votes for him were actually for his professional paprtner and not him. I think our little Boxer Floyd has a temper problem!
I'm still swatching Beauty and the Geek. Unfortunatley it is on with a couple of other shows I watch. So I watch NCIS on line the next day, watch the first 30 minutes of Beauty and the Geek, then turn it over to The Biggest looser and at the last moment switch it back to BATG to see who was voted off. And during this I am recording Bones. Then the next hour, I record House, finish TBL and watch results from DWTS during commercials making sure I switch it over to see who is voted off. Luckily the next hour Law and Order SVU has my undivided attention. So the geek that has gotten a little power crazy goes home. And the love interest for the male beauty leaves. So now the female geek can have her room back at night and poor ol' Sam needs to find some one else 'cause that's the only way he can play in that house. TBL. I think it was Jim who left, it was one of the twins. He kind of lost his temper last week. I don't know if that had anything to do with the vote or not. But like all of the other eliminated contestans, he did very well at home. It was nice to see how you can have a hard work out at a resort. ON the TBL message board some are speculating that Kim had her team have a lot of water weight gain last week and that is why they had such high numbers this week. Last week they had a complete team immunity for the winners of the reward challenge. Americas next top model. I think they messed up this week. They showed the same episode that they showed last week. Or maybe I just had a MS moment! Oh, how could I forget! Trading spaces is back with some new designers and carpenters. They have one carpenter that was a former male model and likes his abs without his shirt on. I don't know if they are trying to create a new Ty Pennington or not but I think God threw away the model when he made Ty. OK, what's happening with your shows? |
I've given up on DWTS, too much family crises to handle tv too. I watched TBL and it gives me hope I can lose the weight I need. If only Dad wasn't such a good cook. :)
I watched the first 1/2 hr of B/Geek last night. They seem so young too me. I'd watch it again. Survivor tonight, yay! |

OMG Sally you are so right. I'm just exhausted from one family crisis after the other and lack of sleep, again. It's supposed to be all about me. Afterall I'm the one that left a relationship and moved 2thousand miles.
Even though my siblings are taking turns with issues. First my brothers lung surgery and diagnosis. Then my middle sisters friend since gradeschool hung herself. And last night our youngest sister attempted suicide with vicodin and alcohol. I'm really glad I'm here, because I'd be worried sick waiting for info if I was still in CO. Prayers for my family are most appreciated. Thanks in advance. I can say it now, cuz it's midnight. Survivor tonight. |
Oh my MS Acorn. You need all the hugs and prayers you can get. Hope you can get some rest.
|
Oh no Beth  -- sending you the biggest hugs and heartfelt prayers --:hug::hug:
|
Well one of my least favorite players was voted off tonight on Survivor. Goodby Dave. tired tonight. That's about all I have to say.
|
It's been quiet here this week. I think I have even forgot who was voted out on the biggest loser! I do remember that the boxer guy Floyd was eliminated on DWTS. Wow, did anyone watch Survivor tonight? What a twist. Poor Aaron, didn't even see it coming. I guess since even he voted for James that he figured James would be the one going home. James might have cooked his goose when he said that it didgusted him enough that he idn't want any part of it anymore. I would assume that James knows that the rest of the team might try to throw next weeks immunities challenge to get him off. But he has to realize that he is the most physical threat there is and he would be on the chopping block as soon as they merge. But unless it is a mental challenge, he has a good chance to win any physical challenge for individual immunity. I'm not saying he couldn't win a mental challenge but most of the others have an equal chance at that.
|
I've got a really bad headache tonight but I'll try to remember all my thoughts on my reality shows for the past week.
Monday - Beauty and the Geek. I'm getting a little tired of the show. I think it may be geared for people a little less than my 57 years but I'll stay with it. It was really funny watching those geeks try to read a pattern and sew. I felt sorry for the guy that was such a comic book geek, he's the one with the ears that need to be pegged. He was so into going to the comic book convention and his beauty could have cared less and she created a terrible super hero for herself which he had to make an outfit for. Sam, the 'beauty' which is also an actor is kind of getting into the hang of the show. Dancing with the Stars - So sorry to see Marie Osmond faint dead away. We are so used to seeing taped shows it is strange to see an actual live show and see a medical emergency. I was glad that Mark Cuban or whatever his name is get eliminated. I am afraid that my own favorite, Jane Seymour may be leaving soon. I don't really expect her to win it but I just enjoy watching her dance. Maybe they would let her be on the show and perform after she is eliminated! Tuesday - Biggest Loser. I really don't remember who left. Oh, now I do. The guy that gained 17 pounds was left on and a serious competitor was eliminated. But the twist now is that members of the other teams do the voting now. So of course they would leave someone that deliberately gained weight. Wednesday - America next top model. Ebony, she was so determined at the first and just kind of got homesick. Tyra was going to send someone else home but Ebony spoke up and said she wanted to go home. So the other girl got a free pass. Thursday - Survivor. This is my favorite!!!!!!!! I think the right person went home tonight but there could have been several 'right' people. Sherea was lazy around camp and a little to outspoken. But they are really tearing her in the message board. I think this my be what has gotten my blood pressure up (my headache). I don't agree with her actions regarding her work ethic (I'll be lazy around camp so I can be strong in challenges) or her attire but they are saying this is all because she is black. And boy are they dissing her. I am not black but I won't stand for someone being treated like that. If she was lazy, it was becasue she was who she was, not because she was black. But James is going to sleep tonight with a huge smile on his face. The other team kidnapped him, gave him the hidden immunity idol so that he could throw the challenge and use it on himself and vote off Jaime. But his team won anyway and he didn't need it! So he has one of the HII!!! Next week is the merge. Amazing Race starts Nov 4th. The teams are listed on the website but that's all. |
reality shows
I agree with you Doydie. I watch Survivor and it is not the color you are but who you are and what you do. If more people felt like this it would be a better world. I still would not want to have been in that position to eat the food that they had to. I was actually gagging myself watching it. I have watched this show since it first started and it is great. Can't wait to start watching The Amazing Race that is another great show. Have a good day. Hope your headache is better. Joyce
|
I did pretty well this week. I watched DWTS and Survivor..:)
I was so shocked when Marie fainted....she is so hyper. . She is one of my favorite dancers (for her age) and Jayne is my #1 favorite too. I just love her. I don't quite have a handle on everyone on Survivor, but I do like the show and the challenges and stuff. I couldn't watch the weird food eating thing....BARF!!!! I can't keep up with you, Doydie, that's for sure.:D |
I am not watching DWTS this season. I had family issues when it started and just didn't know most of them. Except for Jane and Marie. I hope Marie wins. I love her enthusiasm. Bummer about the fainting, but if she's doing Nutrasystems to lose weight and burning all those calories practicing, I can see how she could faint.
I love Survivor and would have like to see JR voted off. At least, Sherea was good in the challenges. The contrast in work ethic between James and Sherea is proof that it is not a race issue. IMHO I cannot wait for Amazing Race on 11/4. Project Runway starts 11/14, I believe. Two shows that I can enjoy start to finish. |
Oh no, Project Runway! My husband will kill me if I start another show. Well maybe one of the other ones will almost be over. and my headache is much better. I think it just really made me so mad what they were saying about some of the racial things but yet nothing is said about James also being black. It's like they bring it up if something is wrong with the person but not if they are great. Just doens't work for me. I got lots of threads addressed to me from the website, read them all but let it slide.

Well heres my reality shwos for the last week
ANTM was a recap of the season so far B&G recap of the season so far DWTS guess that was the shocker for the week. America favorite voted off. Sabrina, I think she is part of the Cheeta Girls music group, lots of dance experience but not ballroom. Some people on the message board say they had problems with their phone in vote. Some say the show was preempted by a ball game and didn't know the numbers. Others say she showed so much potential in the first weeks that she didn't show enough improvememnt. Others say her fans thought they didn't have anything to worry about and just didn't vote. I don't know, I have never voted. I just like watching the show. And I especially enjoy watcing Jayne Semour. She had food poisening and wasn't there for the results show. Survivor, my favorite Jamie got the boot. What goes around comes around. I hope she remembers that for a long time and teaches her children that. 2 weeks ago she intentionally threw a challenge so her team could lose and go to TC. Last night she found what she thought was the HHI. Reason why she thought it was that was because she took James' bag and went through it and found his. So she so proudly shows it during TC and Jeff threw it in the fire, just like she threw the playing piece on the ground when she threw the challenge. Then she was voted off. She is the first member of the jury which means we will have a final 3 again. There is another reality show on Fox something about a search for the next great American band. |

I'm looking forward to the Amazing Race, it starts Sunday 11/4. Woo Hoo! |
antm...tyra banks show...america's next top model. :)
|
I completely forgot about The biggest loser!!!!1 How could I do that when that guy, can't remember his name, purposely did a water gain of 17 pounds last week!!!!! Anyway, he lsot 33 pounds this week. Wonder how he did that! If they still had the same voting system, his team mates would have got him out real quick. But now the other teams votes off for your team. So of course they leave him on cause they know he's no threat. So they voted the cowboy home. But just like all the others, he continued to lose weight at home. Good job cowboy! This coming week the show joins many of the other shows by going green, recycle and excersize using no electricity.
|
amazing race started tonight. I had to wait an extra half hour cause the NFL game lasted to long. And my Colts lost. They went to Ireland. That is one of the places on my list that I want to see. Well any of Europe is. There are some pretty interesting people on this year. Of course I like the ones that are on to deepen their relationships like the father and daughter and the Grandpa and grandson. Felt so sorry for the last two teams. You can be way ahead in the race and then you get stuck with a mule that will not budge and it puts you in last place. I loved the challenge where they rode the bike over the gorge with their teammate hanging on at the bottom of the bike.
|
I too, so enjoyed the first episode of AR. I'm not Irish, but that is definitely on my wish list. Seems like an interesting bunch this year.
My Dad had to leave the room. He said all he could hear was people yelling at each other (maybe because the tv is so loud so he can hear it). I told him to do what I do, just enjoy the scenery. I don't like the cali girls and the sisters. I think it is degrading to use your body to win money. I like the heartfelt stories best. |
I missed AR last night. My poor little 4 month puppie was not feeling well. My daughter said that she probably was teething and that makes them hurt and also upsets their stomach. Today she is very quiet and won't eat. I am just going to wait for a little while and then call the Vet. Nothing can happen to her. I don't think I could take another loss. Wish her good health.
|
:Wave-Hello:Hi Joyce
I'm so sorry to hear your little puppy is feeling so crummy. Hope it is just teething related. Puppies have a tendency to eat what shouldn't be eaten. Hoping a trip to the vet is not needed. I hope you little pup is feeling better soon. |
My daughter agrees with you BETH about the teething. I think you both where right. Today she is eating and playing like herself. I was just the old worried mother. Forgot what it is like to have a baby in the house. It has been about 20 years since I had a puppy. Well I have to learn all over again. But there is that problem of memory forgot what I learned. When my daughter tells me something on what to do, well the screwed up brain doesn't compute. I am also not sure if I made a mistake by getting the dog. I was so lonely I figured it would help. Not keeping in mind that this sick body does not have the strength and capability that it had at one time. My daughter is helping a lot. Well got to try my best because I fell in love with the little ball of fur.:inlove:
|
Joyce, don't ever regret getting a pet. I got my cat as a kitten and she has given me hours of companionship and FUN.! Your puppy will to. What is his/her name and what kind is it?
|
:Wave-Hello: Hi Doydie: Her name is Sage and she is a German Sherpard. My daughter has two and one of them is the half brother. They have the same father. She is from Kentucky. A friend of my son has a great big farm that is strickly for breeding Shepards and traing them for show, a pet, police, and the government. They are exceptional dogs. They have 100 % German bloodlines. The line started in Germany and all the dogs have the German line. There is no American Shepard Bloodline. I never new that there is two lines. To me a shepard is a shepard. But when you are in the breeding business just like anything else you have to know your facts. I am sure we will make out just great. She is lying right beside me as I am writing to you.
|
YEA!!!!! AR is back!!! Have to get used to the new teams. Actually I didn't feel too bad for the last two teams. If they had been a little more gentle with their donkeys, they would have responded better. And the ones who were eliminated stole another couple's taxi -- what goes around??? I really enjoy the scenery too!
Joyce -- I'm so sorry your little puppy had a problem, but glad he/she's okay now!! Years ago when I was married (before kids) we had two German Shepherds from the "von Freesland" line. Sure didn't have to worry about intruders with them around -- Christa and Dolph. They're sooo cute as puppies!!! Good luck! I wouldn't have the energy to keep up with one of them now!! Talk to you all later...........:) |
Judy
Judy that is what has me a little worried the energy that she has. My daughter is helping me. She is a Dog Trainer and Groomer. When SAGE that is her name gets older I know she will be a great dog and my protector. That is the main reason I wanted the shepard. Being alone now. Her mother is from the Vom Drachefeld line. Her father was born in Germany and is on loan here to breed. His name is Va1(DK) K ARATS ULKO. and a lot of numbers. I will make it with my daughter and Gods help.
|
Hey there Joyce!
WOW!! I'm wondering what they call Sage's father in "everyday" language??? Also was wondering if he learned the obedience commands in German? Was watching something on Animal Planet about a competition between police departments who have K-9 units and some of those dogs respond to German commands. Amazing to watch! I'm sure you'll do just fine with such professional help in your daughter close by. There's nobody near me so that's why I won't get another. Even if I did, I'd like to adopt an adult/senior since they usually get passed by. I sure miss the presence of Susan's sweet little soul!! Here's to many years of happiness and companionship for you and Sage! Hugs...........:) |
Hi Judy, never thought of the father of Sage understanding German. You would not believe the house that he lived in. It was what I would call DOG MANSION . They had two fences built around it for protection, so that nothing would happen to him or also to someone else. Because if you are interested in buying a puppy and wanted to see the parents they would take you to see him. Well I see it is 7:45 pm Survivor is coming on soon so I am going to get myself ready for the night and enjoy the show. Do you watch Survivor?
