I kind of gave up on reality shows for awhile...can't consentrate on them, lately. I did kind of watch DWTS and my favorites are still Marie and Jayne are strill my favs. I hope they keep up the good work.

You guys talking about your Furries, reminds me how lucky I am to still have my pal "Pal". He's such a good boy. I hope he lives forever or, at least, as long as I do.:p

doydie 11-09-2007 12:45 AM

Come on Sally, I know you want to come back to all your old favorite shows. Don't dessert us now.

Wonder what is going to happen next week on Survivor. Jeff said that Tribal council wasn't over and they had some other bussiness to do. Over on the message board someone thought it might be a second vote. That way the contestants can't strategize. Some one also thought that they saw who was wearing the immunity necklace in the preview. I'll have to go back and watch that.

So sorry to see Jayne Seymour leave. I agree that she was the weakest one left but I still enjoyed her grace.

SallyC 11-09-2007 01:59 PM

OH NO!!! Jayne is gone...phooey..:(

Jappy 11-09-2007 08:39 PM

:):):):) Horrah JR was evicted from Survivor. I just could not stomach that man. Did anyone else that is watching the show feel the same? :):):):)

MSacorn 11-10-2007 12:23 AM

I did, I did. What an egomaniac. JR had no clue what was going on around him. He was annoying All The Time. His only use was that he knew some Manderin for that one day.

MSacorn 11-12-2007 12:01 PM

Anyone see AR last night. I so enjoy traveling the world with the players. One of the dating couples came in first. Who they are, I can't remember names, but they had a much better race this time then last week. We lost the gay reverands.

The ditch jumping in the mud was too funny. Did you notice how many of the guys couldn't tie the knots for the hoisting task. What is with that? I can't wait to see where we go next.

SallyC 11-12-2007 02:50 PM

Yes, Beth, I watched AR last night and enjoyed it. The pole vaulting was too freaking funny.:D

The Father Daughter (Chinese, I think), are driving me nuts. If he was my Father, I'd have drowned him in that muddy stream..LOL!.....She is a bit ditzy though.

Tonight is DWTS. Marie's Papa died, so she will be sad. I'm sad that Jayne Seymore is gone...darn it.:(

I think the asian difference is cultural old school vs americanized. I hope they work it out though. It might be a good lesson for the world.

So sad about Marie's dad. Did you see all the Osmonds on Oprah Friday, 100+ ! Donny was my #2 crush growing up, must have been Puppy Love.

SallyC 11-29-2007 10:51 PM

Doydie, I have missed your posts here. I have been watching DWTS, Survivor-China, and The AR. I was sad that Marie Osmond didn't win, I'm glad James is gone (I didn't like him)and I like the Oriental Father and Daughter now....I think they're cute.

Sooooo, What do you think? Doydie, Beth....ect......

Hi Sally
I was kinda rooting for James, because I thought a grave digger could use a million bucks. PG is really annoying, but very persistant. My Dad commented that Amanda is now almost as thin as anorexic Courtney. Todd had got to go too.

I agree the Asian father/daughter team is growing on me. It's really going to get tough now. The cali blonds have got to go!

I second the search is officially on for Doydie. Where are you? Come out, come out where ever you are :D

doydie 12-01-2007 12:16 AM

OK guys, call of the search dogs. I've just been tired with Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping, sinus infection and everything. It's really to bad that a person can get to tired doing all you have to do for Christmas to really be able to enjoy Christmas. So heres my take on all the shows. i hope I can remember all of them. I'll try to go from Sunday on

Amazing Race. So far I have several favorite teams, brother and sister, father and daughter, grandpa and grandson, goths. Their team strategies seem to work well. The father and daughter are getting along a lot better. There is no official AR message board but if anyone is interested, someone has started one on Survivor message board. It's under general messages and is just Amazing race. There is this person there, I think name is something like JhenJhen or something like that. She is Asian and has a lot of insight as to why the father acts like he does. It's all very cultural. I like the U-turn instead of the yield.

Dancing with the stars. I think the best man won. Marie Osmonds original dance was real strange Monday night. It was almost as if she didn't want to win and took it out of the voters hands. There has been so much speculation about Hulio and Julianne and their relationship. He has broken up with his fiance' and she broke up with her boyfriend. But they say it is just platonic. It's amazing that she is only 19.

The biggest loser. I felt so sorry for 'B' being voted off. He was the last of the red team. I guess Kim won't show up on the show Tuesday night. It is still scary to see how much weight they have lost. Next weeks TV Guide says they have to work in a pizza place next week.

Beauty and the Geek. it ends this week. I only watch it during commercials of other shows. Last week they went to their partners homes to see a glimpse of their personal lives. It really gave them a lot of insight. I don't think that would of worked for them if they had done that earlier in the show. I think these contestants generally care for each other now.

Americas Next top model. My favorite was eliminated last week. She had a form of (sp?) Aspergers and she had to overcome a lot of social problems to go as far as she did. they are also in China

Project runway. Yes, my list is growing. But with the writers strike who knows what I'll be watching. I like listening to Heidi Klum. I like the way she says 'one will be the winner and one will be out'. I like her accent on 'out'. Yeah, I'm a little crazy. I need to get a life. This last week they had to design a mens suit. That was a first. Most of the designer contestants are gay. One of them said he never could understand why anyone would get excited when the female models would practically have to strip down naked to get dressed. But now that he saw all the male models do that, he could understand.

Survivor. Now the national time of mourning begins. james is out. He left with both of the immunity idols, which had practically been given to him, in his hands. He was a threat at first but not with the individual immunities. He didn't know how to apply a light touch to anything. PG is beginning to shine a little more. Denise got a lot of air time, finally. She is nice. She might be one that just squeaks in under the radar and wins the whole thing.

Oh, I almost forgot Trading spaces. They have a new cast and format. There is to many jokes, sexual innuendos and playing around. there is always a contest, like go cart racing between the two carpenters. And the carpenters are really very coccky. Paige Davis is coming back. I will wait and see what she brings back to the format before I totally pass judgement on the show.

Did I miss anything? There are some shows that I don't watch but feel free to bring them to the table here for us all to indulge in.

MSacorn 12-02-2007 12:25 AM

Doydie-Off Topic-On topic and back on

Hey Doydie
Good to hear from ya. Sorry your feeling so crummy. :( It's terrible that getting through the holidays sucks the life right out of us. Hope you are feeling better today.

I spent Saturday 9:30am-5:30pm, shopping and snacking with my bestest friend. My body is hurting so much, feet and back and my brain has been in bed for several hours. On the bright side, I have most of my shopping done and did not charge anything, cash only. That is such a huge step for me, I'd pat myself on the back if I weren't dog tired.

I too love PR and appreciate the talents it takes to be a designer. I don't have a fav yet, but the season is young.

P.S. Sally -did you see who came out of hiding?

doydie 12-02-2007 12:54 AM

I spent most of my day today at our stadium here in town. My son in law is in the Indiana National Guard and they are getting ready to go for their second tour in Iraq. So today was our cities big send off for them. Although it was for a very worthy cause, i spent almost 4 hours sitting in very uncomfortable stadium seating listening to all the beaurocrats giving their speeches. The one I hated the most was the guy who told all about one his times in which he had gone into the PX with two of his buddies and the place was blown up and his buddie was killed. Did we need to hear that!!!!!!!!!! Most of the group had already gone through one tour and all had gotten back safely but there was about one third of the group that was new. I really felt sorry for them and their families. Plus that four hours that all we could do was to look at the back of our soldiers head, we could have been enjoying their compnay for a little more time before they left. Their offical time to leave is Jan 2. OK, I'll get off my soap box now. Oh, my son in law was one fo the three that went before that got injured and got a Purple heart. Do you think the army could et it to him after 18 months? No!!!!

doydie 12-05-2007 12:29 AM

One of my shows ended tonight. Actually it was the one I was watching during commercials only. Of the two couples remaining on Beauty and the Geek, my favorite won. Can't remember their names but I thought that they grew the most. It was interesting when the host was interviewing all the couples tonight. Some of the guys are dating, one of the girls is going to college and another going for her Realtors licence. One of the guys even did his own makeover and looked good. I know the winning money was $250,000 but they had to split it!!!!! That's why I would only want my husband to go on Wheel of Fortune with me. I wouldn't want to split my winnings with anyone.!

Amazing Race. Karma comes back to hit you in the face. After they used the U-turn, the blondes got eliminated. But that is all part of the game and perfectly allowable. I'm liking Ron and Christina better every week.

Biggest Loser. It's sad every week to see another contestant go home. Nicole did an amzing job at the campus and continued it at home. She will be quite a force to be recond with for the eliminated players prize. of course they all done very well. But she really looked hot

DM 12-05-2007 08:24 AM

Uh Oh... tried to delete this post....didnt work...:p

DM 12-05-2007 08:27 AM

I think I love you Doydie! I am a Reality Show fan too! Did you watch last nights Biggest Loser? I was hoping Isabeau would go, I don't care for her.

I was disappointed in the Bachelor, loved DWTS's and am totally loving Helio. Aren't they a cute together? I am also a Survivor junkie. James was so dumb not to play the Idol. I'm not sure who I want to win, but I kind of like Eric.

I try to catch Project Runway once in a while too.
I love Little People, Big World and Gene Simmons~ Family Jewels. Are those Reality Shows?? Oh and what about The Kardashian;s *love Bruce Jenner on that one) Keep me posted...

doydie 12-14-2007 12:53 AM

Let's get this thread revived for the week. I'll try to remember what shows are on what night.

Sunday. Amazing Race. Just goes to show you what happens if you don't check to make sure the ticket agent gives you what seat you actually asked for. My favorite team was eliminated cause they got business class instead of tourist. So now I''ll be rooting for Ron and Christina.

Tuesday. The Biggest loser. I felt so bad for Neil. He lost 10 pounds and it wasn't enough to keep him in the game. He was the last team member of the blue team and the black team voted him off. The black team was the one left over after the trainers took their pick and they were left standing in the desert and thinking they were going home. Jillian must be a good trainer. I don't know how one person can lose 143 pounds in 3 1/2 months. So next Tuesday is the final.

Wednesday. Americas next top model. Final episdoe. I'm glad Serissha (sp?) won. I thought Chantel had a verey cocky attitude about her ability to win it all.

New show - Crowned: the mother of all pageants. Take mother and daughter teams from around the country, glam them up and pit them against each other. The only thing that is worst than a womans vanity is a Mom's vanity for herself or her daughter. The really beautiful women really got a lesson when the judges gave high remarks to the not so glamorous teams for their sincerity

Project Runway. Episode this weeek, don't use the size 0 models. Use women who have lost a lot of weight and remake their clothes into something that they will want to wear and flatter their new figure. One poor guy (the losing contestant) had to use a huge wedding dress and make into an outfit. One of the guys got some kind of infection on his face and had to leave so they brought back the guy they eliminate last week.

Thursday SURVIVOR!!!!!!!! Down to the final four. Poor PG. Another show that had only one team mate left and got voted off. I thought Amanda was going to vote Todd off and let PG stay in but team colors won out. Denise sure made an enemy out of PG though. She has won the last two reward challenges and got some pretty nice rewards that she would share with 2 other teammates and she didn't pick PG even though PG picked her for one. So if Denise gets to the final 3, PG sure won't vote for her. I'm sure Amanda and Todd are smart enough though to take Courtney to the final three because they think Courney won't get any votes from the jury.

Whew!!!! Did I get them all? I know there are quite a few more reality shows out there but I don't watch. Tell me what's going on. I know that Survivor, Biggest loser and Amazing race are almost over and there are new shows going up.

SallyC 12-14-2007 10:31 AM

Thanks for the up-date, Doydie.:)

I only watch AR, BL & SC....I missed AR, Sunday, are the Father/Daughter still in the race? BL was sad, but someone had to go, I guess. I was glad to see PG go, in SC.....I hope Denise wins..:)

Onward and Upward..LOL:D

doydie 12-15-2007 12:52 AM

Sally, the father daughter are still in. Infact they were in first place last week. They are now my favorite team. You know that AR won't be on this Sunday because of the 3 hour show of Survivor.

doydie 12-18-2007 01:27 AM

Wow, Todd won. i wasn't expecting that I thought that of the final three that were left that Amanda would win. But he knew exactly how to play the jury. And Amanda only got one vote. i just wish PG had been in the final 3.

At first I was very pleased what the show did for Denise in giving her $50,000 thinking that she had lsot her job. But the official website for the school corporation issued a statement today that last year she had applied for and had been acceped a position on janitor and an increase in pay. So she was not demoted.

And I am very glad that James got the Sprint fan favorite $100,000.

DM 12-18-2007 08:21 AM

Hi Doydie!! I didn't like that lil weasel Todd, but he DID play the game.

It was hard for me to root for anyone of them. I usually have a fave, but this yr, I couldn't latch on and root for one. Next season is some past Survivor players and Survivor "Fans". Did I hear that right???

Jappy 12-18-2007 08:57 AM

I agree with you. But Todd did play the game. How the other two made it to the top three is unbelieveable. I don't know what is planned for next year. It would be great to see some of the good players of the past.

Joyce :)

SallyC 12-18-2007 10:36 AM

All that watching, for those three to be the final 3, was not worth it. A lot of the good players got dumped. Stupid weasel Todd.:p Bah Humbug..:D

doydie 12-19-2007 12:42 AM

It is unfortunate that a big par of the game of Survival is the backstabbing. But Todd was strategist extrodinaire. I will give him that. I look forward to the new season with superfans and fanfavs. Can you imagine the likes of Ozzy and James up against guys like Yau Man. I hope all 3 of them are in it.

I'm also glad that Denise has made a formal apology. Now she needs to make it right with Mark Burnett.

I didn't see that about Denise. I'll have to look online. I loved Yau Man.... I have a feeling it will be James coming back. They did that w/Rupert.

Did anyone watch the Biggest Loser last night? It was pretty good. Those people did amazing. I won't mention who won in case someone taped it and hasn't watched it yet... They are already taping the next season.

doydie 12-21-2007 12:45 AM

I don't know how it can be that healthy to lose that much weight in 6 months. It's now been 4 days so I'll say who won. Of the eliminated players, Jim won the weigh in by losing 186 pounds. That was over 50% of his body weight! His twin brother who was a finalist won the contest by losing I think 178 pounds. I may be wrong on how many. It was about 49 % of his body weight. I thought it was funny that the guy who intentionally gained weight that one week and gained 17 pounds, lost the eliminated players weigh in by 5 pounds. He would have had to lose 216 pounds and he lost 211 pounds. Maybe if he hadn't have intentionally gained weight he would have won that $100,000.

Jappy 12-21-2007 10:50 AM

It would be great to make a show about 6months to a year after to really see how they look. I thought losing that much weight in a short time is unhealthy. But I guess with that amount of money involved it gives them the determination to work hard to lose the weight. That's why it would be interesting to see them later.

HSPCraig 12-21-2007 12:00 PM

:) Hi Doydie and Joyce,

I'm so glad you posted as my wife and I are real Biggest Loosers fans. With the "way" they are loosing weight the odds of it coming back and having adverse effects from the weightloss is next to nill. They are also constantly monitored by a professional medical staff.

Remember a season or two ago a guy and girl who were both on the show and lost big came back after a year off the show, looked great, and even ended up getting married. How awesome is that? ;)

We are not much into the other "reality shows" as we were spoiled after watching the original "Survivor" show. The rest just didn't have the excitement and charm of the first show.

DM 12-21-2007 04:55 PM

Hey Craig!! That was Suzie and Matt and I saw a pic of them in a magazine and they still had the wt off and were still together. Don't they all look SO different when they've lost so much wt?? They are taping the new season already... woohoo~~

This is for you Craig~~:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

MSacorn 12-21-2007 07:02 PM

I'm looking forward to the new BL, it starts Jan 2nd or so. It will be couples. Not sure how they will be teamed up or what. I sure enjoy the show. Maybe with all that attention I could lose the weight I need too.

Jappy 12-21-2007 07:34 PM

Hey Craig: I didn't realize that they kept up with the trainers. In that case you would keep it off. Who pays for the trainers after the initialshow?

Well I wish them luck they all deserve it no matter who won the money.

This show I am sure has helped a lot of people (like me) The only thing I start out doing great and then the big plunge. :thud:

HSPCraig 12-22-2007 10:45 AM

January 1st starts the new season with couples. It should be another great show. Yes! This show is very motivating and goes to show you that inside every fat person is a beautiful person just trying to get out.

SallyC 01-01-2008 07:49 PM

This is hilarious.....The England American Idol...

http://www.biertijd.com/mediaplayer/?itemid=3076

And who's gonna watch the new Couples Biggest Loser, tonight at 8:00EST?? MEEEEEE!!!

doydie 01-01-2008 11:08 PM

Well, I waaaaass going to watch it. My son in law who leaves tomorrow morning for Iraq called this evening and wanted to spend the evening with us. Who can say no to that! So I set my DVR to record everything on NBC from Wheel of fortune on through Law and Order. My husband goes back to work tomorrow from his Christmas Vacation so I'll have plenty of time to watch it.

DM 01-02-2008 08:56 AM

The Biggest Loser is ON... woohoo! First night was great.

HSPCraig 01-02-2008 11:44 AM

I didn't get a chance to watch the new Biggest Looser "Couples" episode last night. Had to go to be early as I was exhausted.

My wife got all excited yesterday because BRAVO was showing, nonstop, her favorite Biggest Looser episode with Matt and, crap I can't remember her name but she is blonde and they got together after the show was over. We also had another channel replaying Biggest Looser total seasons over the holiday.

My wife got the new Biggest Looser book for Christmas and is loving it. She plans on combining the info in the book with her personal workouts and Weight Watchers. Maybe she will see some significant improvements. Although, I love her no matter what she looks like.

Jappy 01-02-2008 03:48 PM

Watched the Biggest Loser's Couples last night. I think this one is going to be a very interesting one.

Can't remember the name of the husband and wife team but it was the husband that landed up in the hospital. He seems to be one big "Wooss" as we would say at my house (SYMPATHY BABY)

Joyce.........:D

Jappy 01-02-2008 07:03 PM

:Funny-Post: Sally I just watched The England Idol it was hilliarious like you said.

CURIOUS you have competition. :ROTFLMAO::ROTFLMAO:

DM 01-02-2008 07:20 PM

AWWW Craig~~ You and your wife sound so sweet! And, working out combined w/WW's is an excellent way to lose wt and get in shape. Kudos' to your wife.

Oh and Matt's girlfriend who he ended up marrying was Suzie. At least I thought they got married, but they're still together anyway.

Hi Joyce~~~The guy that went to the hosp last night was on the "strangers" team. He and his partner came into this not knowing each other.

Isn't Allison Sweeney cute. She's on my Soap~~~ Days of Our Lives....

Taffy 01-02-2008 07:29 PM

Allison Sweeney does a fantastic job hosting! I was good and was munching on carrots while watching! (That is till I saw the vat of fat...)
