Yes, in a lot of ways! I got my optimism from her. She couldn't stand swearing, and I've got that now too. She also loved people like I do.

It was when I became a Mother that I HEARD myself saying things as if they had been said by my Mother...been going on for years. You know Kelly, Nothing ever changes, we just keep repeating ourselves throughout history!

After losing my sweet Mother last June, I remember saying I wish I could be a fraction of the person my Mother was. She had the patience of a Saint, never complained, and was always there w/a smile and hug when I needed one.
I look like my Mother, but take after my Father. He was the nervous, anxious type.. You get the picture, but I adored him.

I wish I was more like my Mother.... She was an amazing woman..

I've always heard from my dad how like my mom I am, LOL. I'm stubborn, like she was. Both a blessing and a curse, I tell you.

I've always looked like my dad, but since I've gotten my hair chopped - I see my mom in me too. Creeps me out sometimes, LOL.

Not only have I turned into my Mom....my daughter has turned into me! It drives her poor husband crazy. We're so much a like that he can't tell the difference on the phone. He's fun!!!! LOL

Unfortunately I have some of her rotten qualities!

Fortunately, for me, not my kids, I have some of her quirky qualities.

And fortunately, for me, I was aware of a lot of things I was doing like her that I changed....

I never had the opportunity to be friends with her, she died before we had that relationship. And that saddens me.

Because of her, I know how to embarrass my kids really well!!!!
