We go to my parent's house every year for Easter.

And my mother is..well..how should I put it...THE WORST COOK IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD!!!

The only thing that she can't ruin is corned beef...'cause she puts it in the crock pot!

So for the past few years, we've convinced her that we love her corned beef and cabbage soooo much, that we can't imagine anything else for dinner on Easter (and Thanksgiving and Christmas...and just about anytime she cooks for us!)

You should have seen the smile on my mother's face when we sat down to dinner. There we were...the family that BEGGED her to cook her corned beef with cabbage for Easter dinner!

Do you mean "pickled"???

Pickled eggs are eggs that are hard boiled, shelled, and then placed into jars of vinegar, salt and other assorted spices. Similar to pickles.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickled_egg

I used to like them, until an unfortunate experience with food poisoning that ruined me for eggs for the rest of my life... Sometimes I can stand poached eggs (with the yolk removed and with lots of salt on it to drown out the taste of the eggs)

Default The best part about our Easter dinner was...

...I didn't have to do a thing!

Came home from church and napped until it was time to eat!!! (FYI: I'm still playing the "broken leg card" and it has worked beautifully!

DH BBQd marinated turkey steaks (YUMMY!) and Dutch oven potatoes. Kids brought potluck.

I didn't even have to clean the kitchen!

After my leg heals, I think I'll keep my crutches handy for those times when I just don't feel like doing anything.

Sorry I am late posting Easter Dinner Menus. I am still recovering LOL.

Some how I was volunteered to do easter. I had 40 people in my house Easter Sunday

Menu was:

Honey Baked Ham
Cheesy potatoes
Garlic Salad
Home made Italian Bread
Macaroni Salad
Strawberry Pretzel Jello (mmmmmgood)
Pistachio Pudding fluff
Death by chocolate cake
Wine
Beer

Both Families Mine and DH came. It was a nice day especially having my grandkids here but boy after everyone left I was Pooped.

Nieces and step daughter cleaned up the kitchen for me and the boys put away all the table and chairs.

Topped it off with a nightcap of blackberry brandy and hit the sheets. I was out before my head even hit the pillow
