Jim's doing pretty good. He felt good all weekend. It's weird how he can get these bacterias and feel fine except for a few symptoms. He's on cipro for this one. We are going for a second opinion as soon as his records from the va come in the mail.

Thanks to everyone for your support!

Thanks for the update Sandy. I am glad Jim is feeling better. I am sure having the boys home has helped him too.

I heard that Cipro is, or can be bad news for MSers. Something about bringing on a flare or escalating SX. .. I'm allergic to it.

Happy the Jim had a relatively peaceful weekend.

Jim does fine on Cipro, never had any issues what so ever. I do know it intensifies his Tizantidine 10x so we watch that.

Oh man, I called Tennessee about getting mom on medicaid or something and they said she doesn't qualify? WTF? They said she has to apply for regular coverage and be turned down twice or three times before she can apply for a lower premium insurance. TennCare has changed and she doesn't qualify at all for that unless they take into consideration her breast cancer which she is still being treated for. I am afraid she will die sooner than we want if she doesn't get care. SS told her she will make only $715 on regular early retirement and $800 and something on disability and they warned it could take some time for that. The one good bright thing is she does qualify for Medicare next year at the age of 65. Lord have mercy. I cannot believe this.

Don't they have an emergency application? Dang. Good to know that Jim is on the mend, let's hope they can figure out how to keep him from this again!
