AWWW~ so precious. I'm a sucker for little fuzzy kitties. Those blue eyes would've melted me. I love kitties, but have allergies, so I befriended a couple of ferrals a couple of yrs ago, but it wasn't easy. It took me a week to get them to come to me.
I eventually took them to the Vet for shots, spayed and neutered and and let them come and go as they pleased. Had to put their beds in the garage, but they still always had that wild in them. You've got a wee one, so it'll be a wonderful and loving additon to you family. If you want to know how to tell M or F, PM me. I think it's so sweet of DD to save the kitty! Bless her and you for letting her keep it. |
Ohhhhhhhhhh!!!! A little ball of purrrrrr!!!

OK, now I need help!!! Since our new fur baby has used the little box, we have expanded it's space to the hallway and bathroom. I want it to get used to the household noise and our voices.
This poor little baby is crying and crying. It is breaking my heart. DD18 spent the night on the floor in the bathroom with it. Although it will let you pet it and hold it when you leave the area it starts crying. How can help this little guy adjust? I feel so bad. |

Can your daughter take the kitten to bed with her? If it won't get hurt jumping off the bed it might feel more secure being able to cuddle up to someone. He's just frightened. I think you'll find that as he gets used to everyone, all the new smells and sounds, he'll adapt to his new home. :) |
I rescue a pregnant cat, find good homes for all her kittens and get attacked ....this place can be crazy sometimes. I guess rudness is kept in a special place for me around here.
Pardon MY rudeness  Hope you enjoy your new kitten! He is adorable! |
Thanks Kelly. You're right it does have to get used to it's new home and us. Hence, we have expanded its space some. It is scared. I can see it shaking every now and then. But once you start petting it, the shaking stops. That's a good thing. It's still breaking my heart; it's that strong maternal instinct I have.
At this point it is still trying to hide otherwise it would be right here with me on my lap. LOL. I thought of having it sleep in DDs bed with her. It would have that warm of another "being" but I would be afraid that it would find a place to hide and we wouldn't be able to find it. It is such a tiny thing. When DD 1st brought it home it ran and hid in the living room. It took us a good 20 minutes to find it again. I don't have a lot of hiding places in my living room. I have one of those leather storage ottomans but it is up against the wall in a corner. The kitty managed to squeeze its way behind it. I have been letting it cry for a bit before I go in there. Kind of like putting kids to sleep. LOL. |

Oh btw Kelly, this little kitty is filthy! Another reason it is not sleeping in DDs bed. It's been living under the deck at the restaurant that DD works at with at one time 15 other kittens. Over 1/2 of them disappeared one night and they think that someone did something bad to those kitties.
I will not give it a bath for a while. That would be far too much trauma.:( |
