Yeah, it also sounds like she needs to marry an intelligent yet patient, rich man. LOL

my DD20 (yes that is 20) also dropped hers in the flush and then a month later forgot it in her pants and washed it..... nope you are right - cell phones and water don't mix!

DD cried and cried when she washed it - she was without a phone for almost 24 hours!!!!

glad you were able to get a replacement, we still have one phone somewhere around this house or garage unaccounted for, have knelt on one oops and 4 have taken a whirlpool bath with me, do know how hard it is to catch a cell phone in a whirlpool thats running, this is why i do not buy watches or sunglasses, i am dangerous to things like cells watches or glasses

Wow that sucks about the broken phone.

Even duct tape wouldn't solve this one huh?

nope duct tape wouldn't have helped it was internal - looking at the phone on the outside it only had a couple scratches on it..... I guess internally it was confused!

was suppose to get the new on today in the mail but it didn't come, maybe tomorrow!

Default Up Date!!!

Ok, so I got my replacement phone last Tuesday - didn't work! It was a used phone. Spent almost 2 hours Wednesday on the phone with Verizon another hour on Thursday and then called the Insurance Phone Company and spend 30 minutes with them to tell me the phone was used and we will send you a replacement tomorrow.

Friday 2nd replacement phone comes in the mail. Missing calls, no internet and getting an error on some text messages coming in. Didn't even bother with Verizon called right to Asurion (the insurance company) spent another 1/2 hour on the phone with them trouble shooting the replacement phone of the replacement phone!!! All to hear, well since you have not had it charged for 24 hours you will need to do that and then call us back. If then it still isn't working we will replace it once again.

So all weekend - missed calls and I didn't even bother with texting or the internet. (I get my work email on my phone which is really good when I am traveling and can't get on my laptop)

Called Asurion once more this morning - Finally the woman was wonderful (don't get me wrong the people at Asurion have always been great - Verizon is another story) she put me on hold so she could read through all the notes - she said 30 sec's but she was more like 2 mins - A LOT of notes which she commented on! When she came back she said "I am sorry for all the trouble you have had, we will send you a brand new upgraded phone." Which I am sure if protocol to send 2 used and then send a new phone but I felt special!!!

So tomorrow I am hoping and praying my cell phone problems are over atleast for a while!!!!!!!

time for another cup of coffee and a smoke!

what type of phone is it yabbit? so i can make note not to buy one.

i will tell everyone...don't buy the sony erickson walkman . it does have cool features, but they know that there are problems with the buttons cracking and flaking off. lil'monkey's lasted a month before we had to replace it. i will say she did have over 1000 text messages in that time. thankfully she has unlimited texting. cinguilar did goof and sent the bill in a box. it weighed 3lbs.
