My Mom made the jumpsuit - I wore it every day until I outgrew it. I picked this pic to share because it shows my arms in 'neutral' comfey-position. Wonder why I liked to rest my arms like that??? Still do it... I wonder what causes that?

Well red, hate to say it, but I kind of outgrew that outfit

Astern, amazing.. I can not see kids these days wearing hand made clothing or even putting on what mom wanted us to wear... and besides, heaven help us if we got them dirty or damaged them! I think this is a kewl view on the today thread be nice to see others sharing back in time

Too much to deal with... First off yesterday which was Monday, I had to make my appt for my first stellite gangalion block.. Yep, Now the Doc thinks I may have RSD setting in, in the right arm that has been giving me problems. So, I have to have that done on the 26th of this month.. What else is going to happen..
Then my poor little dog was sick again,, Up all night with his sick stomach.. So off to our normal vet this morning.. Poor guy is dehydrated and has to stay with IV's and meds.. His blood count is all out of wack.. So, that bill is going to be Oh, well he is worth it.. That little guy is one of my best care takers..
So to say the least I'm exausted.. I just want to crawl into bed and sleep forever

Today I am seeing even more green in the fields! I do think we may see a spring after all! I missed gardening, though... one of those things I'll probably never do again... but my daughter and my husband want to put in a garden this year.

Oh, you guys are all so cute! I don't have any old pictures in my computer... I could post some of the grandchildren, but that's a whole 'nother story.

Dawn, I saw my doctor on Monday too, and he said the exact same thing. Are you taking Lyrica? He upped my dose to 225 mg... 3 75 mg capsules a day. He also wanted to schedule me for an SGB, but I need to line up some financing first. My auto insurance is exhausted, and my private health insurance is not being very cooperative with accident related bills. So, have a call into my lawyer, and will try to schedule it soon. Have you done any research on it? My doc said it wouldn't be that much different than some of the other injections I've had.

I hope they've caught yours early enough to make a difference with treatment. My doctor told me mine was also in the very early stages; he can't promise anything, but he did say he usually sees it in later stages than where I am now. He drew a line on the back of my file to explain the continuum with TOS and RSD... with "no problems" on one end of the line... then TOS... then TOS with nerve irritation... then TOS with nerve irritation and beginning autonomic symptoms... then TOS and full-blown RSD. He said the progression can go either way, depending on the direction it was already headed. He felt I had probably been somewhere between nerve irritation and autonomic symptoms all along, and have bumped up a bit toward the RSD end of the continuum. He did add CRPS Type II to my report.

So sorry about your little doggie... I have a sick daughter, too, but no throwing up thankfully!

I hope your dog is better by now- I know what you're going through. We were back and forth at the vet's for about 3 wks. last month with my cat. She stopped eating out of the blue (which is NOT normal for her, believe me) and started drinking ALOT of water. They put her on antibiotics because they thought her teeth looked infected but also did alot of bloodwork and found out she has diabetes and also fatty liver and told us that if cats stop eating that their livers can begin to fail pretty quickly. Long story short, she had to stay at the vet's for about a week because they had to force feed her to see if they could bring her appetite back, otherwise we would've had to put her to sleep. Luckily it worked- but the bill....$$$$....We have to give her an insulin shot daily and she has to eat prescription diabetic catfood. But what do you do- you have to try to do whatever you can for them- they're part of the family.

Today I...found out that an old classmate of mine from elementary school through high school has a brain tumor and they don't know if he'll be able to have radiation because he had Hodgin's Disease when we were in the 7th gr. and spent that whole school year at St. Jude's and had radiation treatments there. If he can, he may have a year, if not, 3 wks. to 2 mos. It's just so sad- it's hard to even comprehend what he and his family must be going through.

Red, That's so sad about your friend from grade school. See everyone, it CAN be worse! I count my blessings daily, otherwise I'd be consumed by hoplessness.

I'll keep him and his family in my prayers.

Thanks Anne- you're right- it can be SO much worse. I'm so thankful that the things I'm dealing with are all that's wrong with me. I can't imagine what people go through with that kind of diagnosis. This has really hit me hard- he was such a nice guy when we were growing up. So many people in my class have died- one of my oldest best friends died a couple of years ago from lung cancer and had never smoked. And, it seems like the older I/we get, these deaths seem to be even harder to deal with- like it makes us think about our own mortality.

Today I..... (or Friday, I guess) I feel really petty, but... I'm ticked that the airlines canceled all the flights from NYC to wherever.... so, I don't get to see my wife or little girl until (theoretically) Saturday night. That, and its sleeting/snowing/icing, etc. here. Just miserable weather up here. So, I'm stuck until at least tomorrow evening. It could be worse though.

Red- i'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I pray they can take care of the tumor. Being a Memphis resident, I really can tell what a great thing St. Jude's is doing. I could really stand to learn a thing or two from them.

Donna, I was told that my CRPS II is the same as RSD, I just went to see a pain management specialist on Thursday and we are trying to decide between an Implanted spinal stimulator or a pain pump... a refferal by Dr, Togut and this guy seem to know his field.

Red sorry to hear about your old classmate ! Also, as far as our animals are concerned, just wonder myself who is the boss of the family... them or us
