Good job with the cabinets- your walls must be square and straight

we had a lot of cussing when we redid our kitchen - thank goodness hubby got a cabinet jack to help hold them up all I had to do was steady them and be the gopher LOL!

Our house is a old one that we have remodeled over the many years as the family grew. Uneven and out of square is the norm even after the updates- some basics are too hard to fix without tearing it all down.

LOL Jo! NONE of the walls in that condo are square. We hung the 1st one, got it plumb and level, and then hung the second, and adjusted them both to make the faces even. and then repeated the process. Oh, there were more than one or 2 four-letter words used. The people that installed the original cabinets 30 years ago nailed them to the wall and the soffet (instead of using screws) - THAT drove my father-in-law up the wall!

as far as fixing the basics.... its amazing what a little trim and a little bit of caulking will cover up

Definitely love those screws and drill/screwdrivers over the old hammer & nails

We had a wonky corner to do a run of cabinets around - yep trim is a lifesaver - we haven't trimmed out or totally finished our project yet- from last summer.
Got burnt out on the project- it's all fine and usable but haven't applied the skins or toe kick panels or finished the window trim.
maybe this fall.....

Victoria, I really hope that works out for you... if not, you can not say that you did not go in blind! You did your homework first hand and weighed the issues, I am just hoping that this could be another med in the war chest to combat the pain we all suffer here. Than again what works for one may not be the same for another... I am so looking forward to getting my intrathecal pump my trial was excellent !

Barb good to see you stopping by as well as hearing that your pain levels are at a tolerable level. I still say your health system has a very nice policy with the wellness spas.

Dabbo, hope your body is not paying the price for your savings, though prior to my TOS hitting I was planning on putting on a new roof (my brother & me) now that is by the way side 2 years past. That is kewl you and your father-in-law can work side by side, unfortunately my father-in-law passed prior to my wife and I getting married. Him and I got along very well and I asked him for his permission to marry my wife, before asking her and he was thrilled and welcomed me into "the family".

Jo... that is not even a question, one does require the power screwdriver, though I do not hammer either that is what they made air tools and children for I miss the days of being able to lift, carry, run the farm tractor (with various implements), go shooting the list goes on ... how you are able to hit all the topics and places you do amazes me typing this so far has taken about an hour and sure the pain I feel now will be worse in a while!

Tomorrow, or in 9 hours I go in front of the SSD judge, I do not know, but I am at some sort of peace. There is nothing that I can do to influence which way his verdict goes, however know just how I feel, he holds all my medical records and I feel my attorney can carry the rest. The only thing that hurts me is my age as I have been told time and again so wee will see.

HOPE THE FOLLOWING DOES NOT OFFEND
DUE TO SOME COLORFUL LANGUAGE

Five surgeons were discussing what type of patient is the easiest on which to operate.

The first surgeon said, "I like to see accountants on my operating table
because when you open them up, everything inside is numbered."

The second responded, "Yes, but you should try electricians! Everything

inside them is color coded."

Not to be outdone, the third surgeon offered his opinion, "No, I really

think librarians are the best; everything inside them is in alphabetical

order."

The fourth surgeon chimed in, "You know, I like construction workers;

those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over."

But the fifth surgeon shut them all up when he observed, "You're all

wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There's no guts, no

heart, no balls, no brains, and no spine, and the head and the *** are

interchangeable

My best to all... Mark~n~Goober

Default Today I..

wish good luck to Mark!!
And thank you for the funny story.

I had my 2 month control of my shoulder today and the doctor is very satisfied with the arm. I need some more musclepower but I will train it in some weeks intensively.

There is still one question in the air: does my tendon have a problem/illness or not. He says, it is not normal, that a tendon of a young woman (I was 27 when these problems started) tears and tears again without a reason after some time after a good surgery. So we will wait and see, how the shoulder is developping this time.

To dabbo, red, shelley, dawn, jo, etc etc etc I wish a good day and send you all very nice greetings

Barbara

I want to say thank you to everybody for their thoughts, support and prayers from the first time I posted not only here... but also on the old BT forum! It was a major shock to be labled as disabled and taken out of work and you all listened to all my bitches about every ache pain and spiral that I took downhill. Still you added support and gave me light when things where dim fibromyalgia, TOS, RSD, WC denials SSD troubles falling behind with my child support being without income for over 2 years and going deeper in debt, but being rich having a loving wife and my extended family here!!! TODAY I... think my life has reached a bit of a turn around, I have been approved for my SSD ( however long it takes to get my first check i do not care, I know it is coming sometime), my intrathecal pain pump trail was a God send and I am having it implanted it in 2 weeks. ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK GOD FOR HIS GIFTS !!! ALSO THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT !!!

Default Mark,

I'm thrilled to hear that. You certainly have been an inspiration to all of us even though you were pretty much always in severe pain. I'm amazed you aren't totally bonkers by the way Goober has treated you.

CONGRATULATIONS

phoebe
