fully recovered from 1st rib scalenectomy dec 1st. man was it hell. i have full range of motion but same symptoms. how about that!!!!!! i have worse pain after the operation and doc says its Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy? anyone have this? TOS ruins our autonomic nervous system so maybe this is the answer to our pain?

Some of the long time TOS members did acquire RSD also after a few years, but sometimes surgery or any small injury can set it off.
We have a pretty active RSD forum here at NT if you want to check it out.

One time I averted a root canal because it took so long to get the referral that the nerve healed. Don't underestimate time, and it is longer as you get older. Be careful during the healing. Listen to your body.
