my hands tingle all day every day
my pt says its neural tension. i think the nerves are stuck/compressed somewhere but just bc it's tingling doesnt mean that area is to blame. like my fingesr arent tingling bc theres anything wrong with them (or even my wrists)

neural ischemia.
The nerve have is own circulatory system. When it is compressed, it stop the blood, and the nerve lack of oxygen. |

Maybe because reperfusion-injury.. gravity may reduce the pressure on nerve, so it get more oxygen, but with ros, this time.
Basically the vasa nervorum irrigate the nerve. Fibrosis around the nerve press the vasa nervorum, causing vasospasm. Because it is narrowed by transformed scalenes, they keep pressure on the vessel too - entrapment -. This may cause repetitive reperfusion-ishemia injury, especially at night because the pressure by scalenes is off. This can explain why at night we have more tingling. The blood may come charged with ROS each night, attacking the nerve directly, causing intra-neural edema, then abnormal sensations. In the same time, sleep is a very strong anti-inflammatory agent. Anything that can improve this disfonction can improve these symptomes, like doing (long duration) sports, eating healthy, vasodilatators. Maybe yes, maybe not. It's just an idea, if anyone have an other idea .. Anyway this is why i suggest this : http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...d.php?t=161734 Pentoclo may decrease neural and muscle fibrosis in 18 months. Additionally, pentoxifylline may increase blood inside the small vessels and tocopherol may fight against ROS. Last edited by boytos; 01-05-2012 at 02:37 AM. |

But can you see how you'll get back to reasonable health and happiness?

You can get cure by stabilizing vasospasm (l-arginine ?), reversing fibrosis via the tgf-b1 and antioxidant pathway, reducing inflammation induced by the mast cell..

Well to be honest if in my youth i cant exercise to my full potential i dont think i will ever be happy again.
Its really really strange though i am going onto my 5th day of no pain, and the only thing that has changed is the weather? Its just really warm and humid. even all the cracking and popping of my shoulder blades and neck has gotten better. My physio says there is a few things going on but the most obvious for me is scapula instability due to muscle imbalances of the upper back . She says neuromuscular retraining is the only way to fix this, but to change a movement pattern of the shoulder i have had for 25 years is going to a verrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy long time to fix. first to change a mind to muscle movement pattern and then to inforce wit by strengthening it that way may as well be impossible. |
