so my tmj pain is really really really bad but doc said its muscular.

he said my jaw is "never at rest"

wanted to get a night guard thing becaus i respond really really well to bracing, like with my neck, but it costs 1100 dollars and OF COURSE AETNA DOESNT COVER IT. i need braces, i have an overbite and a crossbite (?) but that could make my tmj worse. i need to calm down the tmj first and then get braces to cure the tmj. AETNA IS COMPLETELY WORTHLESS

tried lifting a 3 lb weight for my rotator cuff last night. it was embarassingly difficult.

Guys with rotator cuff problems are often started on 1 - 3 lb weights in PT. Being that you're very small, you should be doing 1 lb and not worry about 3 lb. Those muscles are small.

MsPennyLoafer, I got my night guard years ago when it was less expensive. Check around and see if there's a better price from another dentist. I can't tell you how much it's helped me, and definitely having a hard one that's molded to your bite is important. I hope you can find something that will help!

I had one made years ago that just fits in the front teeth. I dont wear it every night because some mornings I feel that I was really biting down hard on it and it was causing additional problems with front teeth.

My mother-in-law is a hygienist and says you should be able to find a dentist to do a custom mouth guard for you closer to $400-500.

Still trying to find dentist under my plan who does splints. I guess I need a maxo surgeon person.

I took a video.of me exercising and holy downturned scapula. I need to get that working before doing any rotator cuff stuff. My back looks like a mountain and then when I raise and lower my arms my shoulders crash.

I did a video of wall pushups too and I saw my lower trap excercising but also saw I think my levator tensing .
