I think I figured out how to do a serratus punch finally. I have to do it in front of a mirror to make sure I don't shrug and yeah... so I can't even do it correctly with a 1 lb can

The fact that it seems a lot easier to do lying down must mean I've been doing it wrong.

worried :/

yesterday i did too many exercises at once

when i lay down on my side my tos area felt swollen, also my upper back on both sides but especially my left this started pressing on stuff i think. it really hurt in a strange way. i had to sleep on my back

fortunately it went away during the night for the most part but still scary. ive had this problem before. ill take it as a warning sign. also if my lats feel fat after exercising that is very very bad and means i didnt do the exercise correctly.

i used to love arm rests now they flare me up

ive been comparing pics, my serratus anterior muscle still doesnt work at all. from the side it is off my back

i tried some scapular wall slides again, nospam mentioned as have others on the board. when i do them my thorax feels like its going to spasm. i think thats my problem. lying down no problem, standing is irritating.

im going to ask pt for different serratus exercises. im nervous.

dr, evan osar the shoulder god is coming out with a book i think??? i am GOING TO BUY IT whenever it comes out. i've seen before and after pics. he is really really good.

her'es my pts notes from back when i felt like i was going to DIE in march of 2011. spasms choking etc

sig knee valgus
pronatory gait
trendelnburg gait
thoracic kyphosis/anteriorhead
l>r shoulder elevation

cerv rotation L 65% R 75%
L LF 65%, R LF 50%

hypermoblitliy wrist flexion/extension, hyperext bl elbow

need to look up what these mean

longus colli 3/5
scap winging serratus lt 3/5
glut/core stability 3/5

mnt l-40 deg elbow ext l 30 degree (typo? i think it should be l/r)

l>r 1st rib elevation dec thoracic spine mobility

assessment: elevated 1st rib, poor trunk/leg stability creating neural tension bl ue patient is selectively hypermobile in particular areas causing compensation thru 1st ribs/t-spine

in fu assessments it says i have full c-spine range

Your C-Spine MRI looks great according to what I understand (I'm jealous). No prominent disc bulging and a thick layer of CSF surrounding the cord (mine is paper thin in comparison...I have congenital stenosis). I don't think the transverse processes can be judged from this view. A radiologist or neurologist should be able to judge it from a rotated view (90 degrees).

thanks!! im calming down. earlier i was very upset about my middle finger going numb off and on.

i still wonder if i do a sitting mri if it's going to look bad but at least it's good lying down.

i need to find another doctor who will take the transverse process thing seriously, thanks for your suggestions.
