Default LTD issues
I've been having some problems with them. I feel like they do not believe I am still in pain and they just want to close my claim. Also a lot of miscommunication with deadlines for paperwork.

Can they actually go against my dr's recommendations?

Is this employer, or the actual LTD ins co?

Both should have to go by what your dr says. Although they may try to pressure you into something. The ins co might make you go to another dr to verify your level of disability.

I'm not that familiar with LTD..and maybe it varies by policy.

Do you have your policy, or can you go online and read up on what your LTD requires?

This is the LTD company, not my employer. I got laid off in December.

I don't like the claim adjuster's attitude, she sounds like the doesn't believe what I am telling her. it seems like they are trying to close my claim because they are not receiving documentation on time but I am not kept in the loop with when they change the timelines.

I wonder if I should ask for a supervisor or talk to a lawyer.

You might ask on our Social security & disability forum - many there may have had to deal with LTD carriers before getting approved for SSDI..
