Hi
I tried to study yesterday and today and my neck pain/stiffness near c7 triggered again. At the same time I see huge swelling above my left clavicle which is painful and is creating more parentheses on ulnar side of my hand.Sometimes swolloning is painful. At the same time my left eye has become more sensitive. I am hell lot of afraid due to these new symptoms. Please help me in understanding this and how to reduce swelling. Last edited by ramdas; 09-07-2015 at 08:16 AM. |

Could be this:
http://thewellnessdigest.com/subclav...d-finger-pain/ Found this for subclavius massage (usual caveats apply, be careful, dont do anything that worsens your symptoms or pain). With swelling especially, there might be blood vessels involved which means be extra extra careful or ask a Dr or Pt for their opinion before trying anything yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHtaFaOPlTk |

Try one or both of these many times a day for 15-20 mins & w/relaxation focus & after study postures - If symptoms become worse or increased pain, then these may not be helpful for you.
*don't force anything or push thru pain..* *lay on foam roll or large towels rolled up tightly - pillow if needed for neck comfort - then just relax with arms at a comfortable position*

How could I find of the cause of the supra clavicular swelling. I don't have cervical ribs but I do have some issue at c7-t1 level. Could it be first rib issue? The swelling is very painful and hot and has recently increased. Please help me. How can I reduce the swelling? Ramdas |

resection I noticed a swollen lump right above my incision, which I assumed would go away once the surgery swelling calms down. It never went away. About 6 mos postop I started having a deep radiating ache in this area which radiates into front shoulder area. I mentioned it to my surgeon at my 6 mo postop visit, but he didn't say anything really, just examined me. I assumed its nothing serious. It bothered me a lot for a couple mos then was better about 6 mos. More recently, beg Oct it started again, same type of pain. The lump never went away. Very strange! |

Sorry for the late response, been preoccupied w family issues. I had bilateral 1st rib, cervical rib, scalenes and bp neurolysis done in 2012 & 2013. More recently (past march) had Pec minor tenotomy on Rt side due to having worsening sx postop tos. Sx cont. to get worse on Rt., but I have 3 nerves comp on both arms and more recently been dx w slipping rib syndrome by Dr D, which is considered rare. Dont get discouraged! TOS surgery is successful if given right dx. No not been able to work due to unbearable pain. Have u been dx yet? ![]() |
