Default Catching up with all...

Haven't been here in so long. Hoping 2009 will be better for us all & the pain will lighten up the load. So much info to catch up on & people to re-connect with.

2008 hasn't been nice to me physically . Looking for 2009 to be better. Doc has sent me back to PT due to the severe pain even after Botox in December. Looks like trigger injections into the BP, subscapularis & traps next & another ganglion block.

A really good positive CELEBRATION my CSUF Retirement Disability legal case went in effect dating back to 2004. Only took them 6 months to comply with the judges decision. 5 years later I finally have my personal health insurance for life as of Jan 1. See, there are good judges out there who see through the pain & suffering of TOS. And what a final report he put together.

If anyone is FREEZING out there & need some warm Indian summer weather in January. Come on out!

Went 1 penny sslot machine-ing at a casino today!! No wins but it was a fun social outing. I've been so cooped up feeling lately so spending all afternoon gambling away $20 was a welcome change of pace.
No I have that out of my system!!!

I was painting my living room and hallway walls and moving lots of furniture around and then did some pc repairs- yup over did it.. and my sacroiliac is hurting too.
prob from up and down the step stool while doing the ceiling edges & trim paint.
but got in for some sessions of PT at dr office and then hope to do maintenance sessions there on my own using the equipment.
they have stair steppers & a treadmill too

went to the doc, got new hard braces for sleeping in and scripts written for: steriod epidural injection, triggerpoint injection on right side of neck (scalenes), and traction equipment.
we'll see if WC covers any of this... After picking out the braces at the sports med store I went to walgreen's to pick up my elavil refill and to my surprise WC did not pay for it Maybe I owe the sports store $50 for those braces now....

I'm finaly done with my exams! YAY!!! While studying I've noticed one thing: my arms' pain decreases to minimum when I sit still with my arms on my knees not having to hold a book.

Well it was 2 days ago, but I got terminated from my job I was injured on.
There is a technicality over modified work that we are clashing over. Hopefully my atty is able to perserve my right for vocational rehabilitation training/education

My restrictions just kept adding up - less jobs they could find for me so finally they more or less cut me loose.

I might have been Ok with part time work but they didn't want to go that direction..

So... in the last month I have been to a cardio doc, a vascular surgeon, and a rheumy (a new addition to my routine!) the 3 CT's showed slight venous impingement, but nothing he thought warrented operations. So hopefully its not vascular now. The rheumy threw me a curveball and asked about Raynauds syndrome AND RSD/CRPS II. Ugh. I wanted more answers, but I have more questions now. It could be worse tho. The rheumy seemed to care, asked the right questions and lots of them....even suggested I get my ENTIRE medical record from my PM doc, and then he/we could have a look thru that. We'll see.

Sorry I havne't been around much- been stupid busy at work, which means lots of typing (OUCH) and not paying attention to my posture (OUCH), and forgetting lunch since i'm working thru it(HUNGRY!). And then I come home to my 2.5yr old bundle of energy
