I was given some Nature's Bounty Melatonin by my good friend, and it is all-natural, doesn't seem to have side effects, and does the job for me.
Still wake up once or even twice the night, but seem to get back to sleep quickly. The plan is to take it til I run out, hoping that the nerve pain/headache lessens. |

How many mg are you taking? I've been taking melatonin as well and it helps me to get to sleep but I still wake up a lot.

hi thats good its helping its so important to have quality sleep
melatonin is natural in as much as its a hormone produced by the body in response to low light levels it is not licences in the UK tbi can cause changes in serotonin you can expect lucid dreaming as a side effect I have tried it and it dose work but would check with your doc for contra indications with other med eg SSI type meds I have migraine HAs 3 or 4 times a week nothing is stopping them apart from laying down in the dark if I can catch them in time, if I have a full blown attack I have found that EQUATE tm extra strength pain reviler PM helps with sleeping and residual pain in my frontal lobes after the migraine has past, it also helps with sleep again this is not available in the UK so my family send from USA NB ALLWAYS take care with sleep and pain meds . my GP prescribes me zoplicone which I only take when all else fails best wishes

This is the one thing in all my battles with insomnia that I haven't tried. So I'm gonna give it a go! My problem has always been getting off to sleep, even pre-concussion.

Does melatonin take a while to work? I've taken it for a couple of nights and it has actually made my insomnia worse! I'm going to stop taking it, maybe it's not working because the PCS is still fairly bad.....

Sorry to hear that.
Yes, I wake up once, usually twice a night briefly, but it puts me to sleep quickly when I first lie down. I'm going to try easing off as well in time- |
