Whats the deal if any with sleeping alot on the area of the head you hit. I hit the left back of my head and sleep on it alot and wonder if the extra pressure of sleeping on it is doing any damage.

The external part of your head has no impact on the brain. It may still be tender but that tenderness has to relation to the brain injury.

I believe your skull is strong enough to withstand laying down pressure. A concussion is your brain hitting the skull forcefully. Unless you have damaged your outer shell?

I know this is going to sound strange, but I actually sleep better when I sleep on the part of my head that had impact...maybe I am a weirdo, but the pressure helps with taking away some of the headaches.
It wasn't always that way, just recently, though!

Then my advice is...Go with it! Let your body be your guide. Just be thankful that you have a way of falling asleep.
I take over the counter sleeping aids to just get into a sleeping rhythm. But, I also have to have a hot bath before hand to relax my neck muscles and in turn numb my headache. It's hard to get comfortable with this painful neck. Take care
