Your anxiety is the stressor that will slow or prevent recovery. Anxiety hormones can reek havoc on your brain. As I said, some counsel/therapy to help you learn though behaviors would be good. Getting control of anxiety will greatly improve your life.

I also suggest you have a ENT look at your sinus issue. I am a believer in chiropractic but it should resolve your sinus problems, not maintain them. You may have developed an unstable upper cervical structure that leaves you more vulnerable to injury and inflammation. Does your grandfather tell you to ice your neck after a pop? He should.

Hi Mark!
Well, I do not ever recall him telling me to ice my neck after he pops it. It is funny that you mention unstable cervical structure. I can sleep normally on any given night and wake up the next morning with a nagging neck ache that will subside during the course of the day.

I think I might want to have my eye-sight checked as well. A couple of years ago, I was reported to have 15/20 vision on my eye exam. But today, I noticed that distant objects seemed fuzzy while I was driving down the road (mile markers, exit signs, etc). They only came to being readable when I was within 100 feet of them. Ugh! I can see near objects and read books with clarity though. Would this be a sign of the vision loss you spoke of (in relation to the concussion).

If he can pop your neck, it means he can find a problem. Not all neck injuries have pain symptoms. You stiffness in the morning suggests you have a neck injury that needs to be stabilized. Routine pops will not stabilize your neck. You also likely need to work on sleep posture to prevent causing inflammation from your overnight sleep position. That inflammation is causing the stiffness. Any time you have stiffness, ice will always be good.
