I like dentists who have studied with http://www.pankeydentist.org but there aren't very many of them around. They are very gentle and non-invasive and let your body align itself rather than wrenching it around to get it aligned. If there's one in your area, it's probably worth the extra cash you are likely to have to pay.

Hmmm I had a locked jaw and dropped and thats when I had finished my Bachelors so I had more time to get this diagnosis of TBI...lol..I first went to jaw specialist and he tried to manipulate the jaw and put it back in place....fail! Way to much inflammation TMJ specialist ordered he would not see me till I got in with neurologist....Now that I got all my ducks lined up I go back to TMJ specialist in Feb...I could tell you more after the next appointment....Did you have inflammation? If so are you taking steroids for inflammation?
Hope you get to feeling better soon ![]()

My daughter still has some TMJ. She wears a dental guard. We were sent to an osteopath by her neurologist. This seemed to help her clear her mind and it reduced the pn. She saw the osteopath about 6 times. She then tried acupuncture. This has done wonders for the pn. She's not going right now because it's such a distance to drive. But she can now eat and exercise without the TMJ pn interfering.
We are in the Bay area, CA and can recommend Drs here. Best to you... |
