Hello Friends,
I am noticing continuous twitching in my right eye since two months. It starts when I am tired and it keeps twitching for whole day. Recently I have been noticing twitching in my calf and right tows as well. I wanted to know if it symbolizes something and how can I take care of it. Thanks in advance, Kirti |

I have experienced on and off again twitching as well since August. Mine is all over the body. I recently had one in my chin that went on for three days. Could be due to head injury, or in my case a side effect from medication.
How long ago did you hit your head? Are you currently taking any medications?

SSRIs will do this. Also people low in magnesium and Omega-3's get twitches. There is even a study on PubMed done by Basel drug company... investigating Omega-3s for eye twitches...their finding was that this intervention was very successful.
Long term use of SSRI drugs leads to muscle twitching do to their effects on dopamine lowering in the body.

i am taking Verapamil for my headaches other than supplement regime which include Magnesium as well as Omegas. Continuos eye twitching is very irritating than any other part of body.
Its been 10 months fro my head injury, this twitching started last month since I am trying to push my self to do more work. ![]() |

I get the occasional fasciculations when I'm really stressed.
A few years ago we had terrible flooding and other situations happening where I live and I had them everywhere. It was awfully worrying. I could even feel them internally in my abdomen. mrsD gave me lots of great advice at the time and I definitely noticed a difference with taking a better magnesium supplement and they subsided. If they continue and you're worried, please mention to your doctor. |

Make sure your magnesium is not oxide form. That is not absorbed from the GI tract. You will need a chelated type or chloride like SlowMag. Oxide is still out there, and very inexpensive so people use it. Its main use today is as a laxative...it is in Phillips Tablets for constipation.
I have to remind people all the time about this, because it is so common still.
