Default I have no more explanaition

4 weeks ago, I felt a lot better than now and I dont know what happened.

I first got 2 big inflamminations (acne). My whole realization got extremely worse, I was looking at things without actually realizing them(I cant describe it any better)
When the inflamminations had gone, my realization got better but by far not normal.

2 weeks ago I got something I never had before. Constipation. It lastet 5 days and I got new symptoms, possibly from the straining. I feel extremely tired the whole day, my mind tells me that I should stay in bed. I also had 2 stressfull events, both lastet 2 hours. My muscels feel completely exhausted, I cant properly walk. And I get tension headache everyday in the afternoon, thus I never had this during my whole recovery. My mind goes crazy now. I wake up 10 times each night. Sleeping during the day is not possible becauae I start to jerk right before falling asleep.

No explanaition for all this.

Whoa, you need to slow down. Recovery isn't a linear path you will get set backs, the brain takes a long time to heal, months. Knowing the warning signs on when to take your foot off the gas is key. Rest for a couple of days you will better it sounds like your brain is over loaded with stimulation.

The symptoms you describe are normal for PCS, I've had them and still feel wiped out if I do too much even now.

Rick,

I go up and down still. What was weird to me was I felt somewhat decent for the first 6 months of recovery and then I plummeted into a dark abyss.

I still have rough days but I am also having some good hours during the days.

Hang in there...this won't be forever!

Hey Rick

I still go up and down on a weekly basis. PCS is ******.

I feel loads better then I did two months ago, for me both my best and worst keeps improving.

Most likely the straining from the constipation combined with the stressful events were enough to exhaust your weakened brain.

Stressful events will mess you up guaranteed. I thought I was over everything, then I went and had a three hour visit with the neurologist and half way through I had to close my eyes and I felt like I had to go sleep I was that exhausted just from talking.

I have had the jerking as well, this was horrific. It made me not want to sleep, and if you are not sleeping, you are not recovering.

Mark takes Gapapentin for the jerking before he goes to bed. I have recently started taking Pregabalin (basically Gabapentin MK II) 50 mg before bed and the jerking is mostly gone. Also it feels fantastic, just so relaxing, perfect as a pre sleep ritual.

I don't know about you, but my muscles have degraded massively over the past 9 months since my injury as I just haven't been active. My legs shake walking down the stairs.

Do you wake up from the jerking or you just wake up??
