I had what I believe to have been hemifacial spasm on my right side (doctors were pretty out to lunch trying to give an answer to that one at the time). I too am bi-laterally affected by TN, but my most severe TN pain occurs on the left side.
 I also get the burning crud and I find Clonazepam is my wonder drug to cool that down.Lots of marriages in the family! Sorry to hear you haven't been doing well. Hope the change in medications helps you.
